Not only is the fact that she's wearing heels impressive, but it's also symbolic. Hole's music centers around femininity (at least in live through this). They sang about female struggles and triumphs, but not in the way we as a culture and society usually think of it. Hole and Courtney present a new idea of what a woman can be. Courtney is extremely feminine, but she is also strong, confident, and badass. She is an amazing being, and Hole's music can resonate with women everywhere

Thank you for posting this. I am so sick of the BS still today. The fact of the matter is they loved each other. All of these supposed die hard Kurt/Nirvana fans who insist on posting all of this trash talk against Courtney don't get it. He would have done anything for her and by saying these things you are not respecting how he felt at all. He wanted to protect her. You can't watch Courtney sing certain songs such as Doll Parts and not see the anguish in her eyes. Respect both & stop the BS

Thanks for putting this up, MissWorld94. This is part of a larger clip, including "Asking for It", and small excerpts of Mazzy Star and Liz Phair, and commentary by Vanessa Marcil. I did the original .mpg cap from my VHS tape, recorded from TV, in 2003. Part way through Asking for It, there's the station logo, (channel 7, Buffalo, NY), and the time and temperature.

This song is so fucking genius. One of my favorite guitar riffs. It says ABC in the corner, did this air on network tv? I would love to see the entire concert, I wonder if it's available anywhere. Back when bootlegs were around and record stores were still thriving I used to love to go to different cities and see if I could find some rare Hole concert bootleg tapes and cds. Every now and then you could find a vhs concert too lol. Those were the days man lol.

Erica, see my comment further down, five years ago. Only Miss World and Asking For It were aired from the pro shot Metro, Chicago gig on ABC In Concert. There is a full length amateur shot video from the Washington DC gig on that tour, 30 Sept '94, I believe. Some brief clips aired on CITY TV Toronto, but no full songs. Similar small clips probably aired in other cities. I have 1st gen VHS tape of the Washington show, but the .mpg rip from 2003 is lost to a hard drive crash. I may make a VHS to DVD of it eventually, but it would likely only circulate in small numbers, in Toronto. Someone has probably already put that show on private trade-only DVD, but I don't have it. The bootleg audio CD Pretty in Pink, from Toad's Place, New Haven, Connecticut has excellent sound, but doesn't include the first couple of songs. There's also a Kiss the Stone bootleg acoustic audio CD, "Asking For It", from a UK gig, from the 1994/ 95 tour, and the MTV Unplugged TV performance, plus some small clips from Lollapalooza '95 in Barrie Canada, that I know about. I doubt you could buy any of those in a chain store, however, but I have all of the above, and had a few lesser pieces, now since lost. I have very little bootleg/ unreleased audio/ video of the band after the Live Through This tour.

I do not believe that Courtney murdered Kurt personally, but she certainly did nothing as a friend/wife/lover to help him and simply exacerbated things to a breaking point. She is rude, obnoxious but I would have been strong enough to leave and not blow my head off! HA! She is the type of person that could push anyones' buttons. So in some morbid way, I don't blame Kurt. He was married to a real nut bar & that's why their daughter is now distancing herself from Courtney.
