Holi, often known as the "Festival of Colors" or "Festival of Love," is one of Nepal's most auspicious Hindu festivals. Holi is primarily celebrated with colors and water. Color is a way for people to demonstrate their affection for one another.
#HOLI marks the beginning of the spring and summer seasons. It's also done to ask God for his blessing on future harvests and land fertility. The technique of erecting a long bamboo stick (lingo) decorated with pieces of various colored cloths(chir) is practiced in Kathmandu's Basantapur Durbar Square.
