Who knows, maybe he owns a Land Rover 110 4-door. Those are the British equivalent of the Chevy Suburban and they're just as massive... Most tend to have a 2.4 liter 5 cylinder or an old (but tough as nails) Buick 252 V8.
@@casmatori You need to look at your post. A Range Rover is NOT the same size as a LAND Rover. Don't preach about cars if you can't even get the names straight, LMAO...
John is the used car salesman you desperately try not to make eye contact with because you know any conversation you have with him will be awkward and not end well.
I love how yall Brits see an American who shows up and does his job and helps people out yall think he's this weird creepy sleezy fucker hahaha you Brits are so fking depressed and miserable
I don't just blame John for constantly being late.. I mainly blame the employer for allowing John to continously come to work late without any reprimand such as 1 verbal warning, 2 violation written warning then fired on 3rd tardiness.
Exactly! He must have had a good track record as a problem solver (=less complaints=less financial output from the company). It also gave the company an excuse not to give him the raise he probably (regularly) thought he deserved. As a business owner, it is sometimes easier to deal with the cost effective problems, rather than lose the person who helps the bottom line, even if it affects those who are not as good and just complain about their co-workers.
The lady who complained about everyone wasting her time because SHE said she needed oxygen infuriated me. Nobody came up to her, singled her out and TOLD her that she "looked" like she would be the type to need oxygen. She said she needed oxygen because she has asthma. The airline would have been in serious trouble if she had experienced an asthma attack mid-flight. Then she left all her money with her daughter. Finally, she complained about the cost of the taxi and doctor visit. She's lucky everyone helped her. Even the doctor didn't charge her but she certainly 'pitched-a-fit' and not once did she express any gratitude for a problem she created
She got a rough lesson about how America works. Don’t look for attention because America sees dollar signs and you will not get on the plane. If everything was fine why did she complain in the first place! That probably cost her a couple hundred dollars for a little attention she felt she needed.
@@r_l_o6324 it really isn't about money in this instance. She was trying to board an international flight... the last thing anyone wants on a flight like that is a medical emergency. If she truly did need oxygen mid flight and they did not have it, she would be dead by the time they were able to divert somewhere to make an emergency landing for medical treatment. Imagine being another passenger on that flight and having to watch someone slowly suffocate to death like that. Imagine being cabin crew on that flight while one of the passengers in your care dies a slow death and you're completely helpless. I'm not normally one to defend big companies and corporations but like... sometimes the rules are just the rules for a good reason.
@@sandrawestley4193 7 large cases in Florida in the summer for 6 adults and a baby is fking insane those cases took the space of 3 humans and everything you need in the USA (forumula, medicine, diapers) was and is way cheaper in Florida than the UK
Hopefully that woman claiming she needed oxygen realises how her attention seeking can cause problems (because if she genuinely needed it she should have sorted that out before her holiday!)
She said she didn't need oxygen, only if there is an emergency due to her illness. She wasn't asking for oxygen only for some to be available onboard in case of emergency which in all honesty I would expect to be in the medical kit on the aircraft.
I have asthma and have flown a lot in my life never once did I say I needed oxygen in case something happens I was just shaking my head while I watched it
You would be surprised the things passengers try to carry on board. I used to be a flight attendant and I once saw a man try to carry a bathroom sink on board!!
@@Nattaferg Oh, I DO believe you since I have witnesses: the hotel managers! They've seen it all: guests checking out of the hotel with one MASSIVE box of god-knows-what! Or sometimes, they come with 4 pieces of luggage and leave with SEVEN pieces! Why else do those thrift shops lining International Drive frequently sell luggage with their wares...😁😂
It’s called the reps meeting, they tell all guest where the bargains are, what transport to use what to see etc, they don’t do that now as many passengers are used to travelling and sort there own holiday out, and refused at attend the meeting in the first place 😂
I worked for Enterprise car rental at MCO and hated dealing with UK people. They were so rude and would literally scream at me if we didn’t have the right car for them. I quit because of them.
And even when you DO bend over backwards to try to help them, they never say thank you, and they certainly NEVER tip!! And 20 years later, nothing has changed!
OMG- the gentleman who booked a 7-passenger van, and was provided a 7-passenger van but didn’t take into consideration the luggage. Of course you are not to get a 8 passenger van for the same price. Even if he had booked a 8 passenger van when he made the reservation it would have f-ing cost more
The British tourists are just so tedious.... after working in airports in Florida, I will rather deal with being at LaGuardia or Detroit or Boston and screaming Americans than that. Meanwhile at Sanford.... can't fit bags plus 7 passengers in a 7 passenger van? Oh that's fine, standing there dominating the rep's time with lengthy explanations and needless detail is just as suitable a day of holiday.
Why didn't he simply fit the people in with their luggage seperatley and take them to their accomadation then come back and collect some more people and luggage and take them to their hotel until everyone and the luggage is delivered to the hotel.Okay it would take several trips but it would be a lot better than been stranded.
You would think that Phill would learn from John even though John sometime is late but he's got a great attitude and that's what you need in it in a service customer service job I'm in the customer service business it's tough but if you stick it out it's very rewarding and going to come back and tell everyone about John.
Quite true. I worked in a customer related field for over 10 years. I had a few times where I was late but the managers always forgot about it the next day because I did whatever I could to please the customers in the store. I guess part of the reason is the OTHER employees were like Phil: they couldn't care as long as they got their paychecks every other week. And every time my boss was replaced by a new one, the new manager was always shocked how many e-mails the store got from customers saying I put out the most effort at my job...
My husband worked at Jacksonville FLA airport and saw an alligator as he walked from the parking lot all the time. There are also gigantic snakes that stretch all the way across the road!!
I remember seeing this the fist time around on itv. I still wonder what happened to John... a typical person who doesn't knows they're actually annoying but the kind of person you'd still invite to your birthday party.
What are these people thinking bringing all those BIG stuffed animals to check-in? Did they really think these things would pass as hand luggage? Like the lady said: it's almost as tall as her! And of course no one has any money left to pay excess luggage...
I never understood this. My mother once saw an entire family: husband, wife and two kids. They had EIGHT pieces of luggage and the family minivan clearly wouldn't hold everything. She laughed and remarked "How stupid can people be?? Brought the whole family and the luggage won't fit inside!"
Jhon have a person with good attititued always smiling, try to understand and help his customers. His talkativness reminds me of those brokers in the fish market.
John has such a pompous attitude. He thinks just because he has been employed with the airport for many years that it gives him the right to be late to work but it doesn't.
As a Million Miler on Delta and other airlines, I see this crap a lot: people who try to go cheap and then complain when they see what they got for their money...and expect some poor customer service rep to make chicken salad out of their chicken crap.
There's usually a personal allowance before duty and/or VAT has to be paid, though given how inept UK Customs are (or at least it was the case when I last went to the US), they very rarely randomly stop people before the green channel, and some are even known to wear bought clothes before coming home.
There’s no way I’d put up with an employee who doesn’t take their job seriously. This dude is a joke he thinks it’s funny to keep people waiting. Absolutely not 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
What was that word years ago that they called people like John, a smuck was it! My goodness, a bit full of himself, and just ask him how much of a stud he is! I'm sure when the wife sees this there going to have words!
Phil thinks he’s entitled, not surprised he was let go. You don’t get up in front of a bunch of tourists and dis your coworker. Phil will hopefully figure that out once he grows up.
Comfortable in his job and thought he was Untouchable yeah he needs to grow up when they didn't do it the airline's is a serious job serious business I do limousine service and everyone thinks it's a piece of cake and it's not it can be very frustrating at times you got to be on top of your game and if you're not you're in the wrong business
Cause he's late? As an employer do you want an employee who is sometimes late but satisfies your customers or an employee on time but causes the majority of your customers to never return? I surely hope you aren't in management.
Phil has no clue how to talk to american women..no never call a girl an old bird .. English ladies may put up with that...but you never ask a girl her age or comment how old they may look..
Note to tourists: the alligators are the reason Walt Disney World won't let you swim in their lakes. They are INFESTED with them. It's too dangerous, don't even let your children NEAR the water!
39:00 I'm sorry ladies, but $100 is not enough money for "just a check up". The medical costs here in the U.S. are astronomical if you don't have insurance. Edit: You ladies have gotten really lucky.
John, congratulations for the amazing job you're doing and very helpful. And you can tell really how much you love your job, making passengers lives easier and much more happier. You're making a huge difference on those passengers lives. God bless you. From London ☺️🙏🙏🙏❤
Forgot to add: I've seen an Australian version of the show "Airline" and it's hilarious seeing Australians coming home after a nice vacation and upon landing, they're already fighting the airport staff over import taxes! I'm amazed how not a single one wants to listen to the customs agents and starts fighting once they hear the word "taxes."
What cracks me up is that there are many comments saying they don't trust him because he looks and sounds like a sleazy used car salesman! LMAO, he even looks like a relative of Bill Paxton, the salesman who tried to rip off Arnold Schwarzenegger in "True Lies." Remember, he said "Da vette gets em wet!"

That's because Hurricane Floyd hit North Carolina & flooded the entire state. We lost people in the storm & flood waters. We lost farm animals & crops. It was not a little storm. We lost roads & towns were under water for weeks I hope to never see another storm like it again. I worked during & after the Hurricane with my military unit. We saw things that no one should have to see, like helping to identify deceased people in their caskets so they could be reburied in their proper graves. Or pulling bodies out of vehicles that were sweeped off of the road due to raising floodwaters. It was horrible!!!

I understand what it's like. I lived in Oklahoma when MULTIPLE tornadoes swept through the town. Dozens were killed and that's not a number a weather reporter wants to hear but advance warning just isn't enough when you're being hit by one tornado after another. It was so bad that debris tragically slowed search and rescue parties. The fire department and police K-9 units had to slowly walk behind a bulldozer followed by the fire truck because the debris was pile SIX feet high in some neighborhoods. Even six months later, driving down I-35S, I passed through one neighborhood and it still looked like Hiroshima after the bomb was dropped.
Very interesting.People get angry and stressed because they don't get organised.I was always organised when i went away making certain i stayed the night before in a hotel so i was handy for the airport to catch the flight.I would be at check in about half an hour before they opened so i qas always first in the line.
Pre 9/11, in the days when Airtours was a company, I was able to come off the plane, collect my luggage and not even have it inspected. The security guy asked me all the security questions but I had lost my voice as I had a horrible head cold and could only nod or shake my head. He thought it was cute and I got to leave really quickly. I could have had drugs or anything in my bags but I got waved through.
I have worked in Customer Service for almost 30 years in various jobs, no matter how fed up I would get with customers complaining, I never was rude to any customer. At the moment, during this pandemic I am working as a cashier in a grocery store. I have to constantly remind people to stand back and give the required safety space. I have to remind people to pull their masks up over their nose. And I do it politely even when customers give me grief. Under my breath I am saying, how long have we been doing this and you are still questioning the rules? As I have said to a few friends, some days I almost bite a hole through my tongue. No, the customer is not always right, but can be dealt with in a courteous manner!
The Customer IS ALWAYS RIGHT! If YOU FORGET THAT, bite Your tongue, and Remember, The Customer IS ALWAYS RIGHT! Sales taxes in the UK are hellish. I've been to London and could barely afford even one or two souvenirs. It was that pricey. That's why the Brits flood into south Florida every summer. Unfortunately, other countries are getting the same idea. In late January, the South Americans and Australians take over. I took my vacation in January, thinking it would be a slow season. I was a bit wrong. The Brazilians, Argentinians, Australians and Irish PACKED the buses. Universal Orlando was NOT having any slow days. I had to actually download a crowd calendar on my cell phone to determine where to go. Oh, and it was still winter season so I did shiver. The only thing good was I saved over $600 freezing my butt off because the hotels were struggling to get Americans to fill the empty rooms so the rates were very cheap.
Not a hell hole at all. I’ve lived here 32 years and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Although the tories are trying their best to mess everything up
There's probably no time and his boss begged him to get the gator before sundown. It happens. Even in Walt Disney World, you are forbidden to go near the lakes. It's too dangerous. The gators could be anywhere and yes, even Mickey has gator wardens on patrol 24/7.
Where's the sense in ppl, they know extra weight means extra payment, but saying that i would throw the things away rather than give the airlines another dollar
