Christmas boxes should be a LOT of weird stuff, different types of units AND one centerpiece type model/unit. I dont wanna have 15 minis for christmas, I want a lot of stuff to do for like 2 months
honestly, any discout box thats a spam of 1 unit is bad imo i would VASTLY prefer 4 different units, over 3 of the same with 1 extra, no matter what they are
@@gregsmwnow while I do agree I have to say the guard box should get a pass sense 20 guys and 2 Rogal dorns for less than 300 buck in freedom is good and if you get the combat patrol(or cadia stands sense now on places like Amazon it’s cheaper) you now got around 885 points for only 340 freedom papers of units you want to run with only one dupe and the field ordnance batterie which you probably don’t want to
Trust me you definitely don't want that, we've had those types of boxes before and they are a god aweful entry point to the hobby. In the past it would be stuffed with unplayable garbage that no one would ever buy
All infantry guard! 6 * 20 man Cadians - 120 (720 points), 6 * 20 man Infantry - 120 (720 points), 5 * 20 man Catachans - 100 (550 points) totaling 340 infantry! Might need to remove half a squad for an HQ but 60 guardsman isn't even close to enough!
The problem with the guard box is the “value” is in the free guardsmen, but I don’t know any guard player that needs more guardsmen. We all have tons already and tons unpainted because we get them in every box we buy. For a starting player I think they’re great (except you’ll quickly have too many command squads).
As a starting Guard player, that's pretty much my opinion. I do have too many Command Squads, using this and a couple of the Combat Patrols (and I arguably have too many Dorns, since I picked one up before the Christmas boxes got revealed), but at least they add meaningful durability to a squad through their medic's Feel No Pain, and help get Orders all over the board, even after casualties. But I am expecting to enjoy not having more Guardsmen to paint, and doing it purely for art reasons. Still, I plan to pick up another couple of Shock Troops boxes, to kitbash some Catachan-equivalent squads together. My first planned list is going to have 80 dudes, and some Scions.
Despite collecting guard for a few years now, I actually don't mind the extra command squads flying around. They're not terrible to kitbash into other things. I've done psykers, Regimental advisors, commissars, and some book characters for my tanith.
The problem is infantry squads are silly expensive, and value boxes are often aimed towards players starting armies over veterans. Without the old 15 dollar box of 5 cadians you really need infantry in the value boxes to cut the cost of a guard army down.
@@DragonuFearikr i love how gw wants to sell you stuff and price it based off of how much of an army it takes up, unless thatd take the price below like 60 or 50 bucks. Outriders being 60 is ridiculous for literally 1 and a half sprues
The Tyranid Box is a bit of savings, but I think the real reason it sold out so fast is because Norns have been out of stock since release. I personally do not need another flying hive tyrant to take up an entire case, so I can wait till the fabled day when I find a norn at my flgs.
I may well be wrong, but I think the Daemon Fulgrim release for the Horus Heresy all but confirms that we won't be getting a 40k update to Fulgrim or Emperor's Children for a long, long time.
Well, there's now an Emperor's Children Index. It's trash, but it most likely means that either the end of this year or sometimes next year, we'll get a proper release for them.
I am looking forward to my squig box. I really want a 2K army of squig orks. Not big into the rest of the ork line. Definitely tempted to buy 2 if my local game store has a second copy.
Just for the future, if your are stuck getting pushfit, clip a small bit of the pins they will fit better. With the outriders i broke the pins off completely, as a couple were broke in the indomitus box and made it easier to make the gap minimal. Hope this help someoen.
I am way late here but I am only now catching up with the podcast at the moment. One thing you missed when talking about the Imperial Fists and Raven Guard boxes is that they also included the upgrade sprues specific to those factions. They have limited value to players that aren't specificially in those factions, but they are still part of the monetary value. I would actually say that those Battle Force boxes for specific marine chapters are actually a good concept, as they give a bit more direction and allow for better deals for specific play styles, but I would say they could have used a bit more variety in them. As someone who started a Slamanders army this past year I was very happy with picking up their box, even though I still have 10 Intercessors on sprues that I will probably sell instead of build. Then again, they probably had the best box among them, and I got a discount at my LGS.
It's good to know thatafter spending time buying, building and painting my hormaguants, genestealers, hive tyrant that I'm going to have a fairly unique army.
Hey, Funny story from a german here the World eaters were sold out almost instantly and the Crap marines are still available 4 days later. 🤣 however i myself am happy that i got myself a set of the Tyranids (sold out after the first hour) so im gonna see if i can get my hands on a leviathan box next month so im really good off in the mix and match department (I literaly just started collecting the tyranids like half a month ago). The rest sold out also quite quickly but to me it so fucking hilarious that their "poster children" are so unwanted😆 considering the value of the box it's no surprise but still im smiling thinking about it
As a new player who is itching to break into World Eaters, this box looks absolutely delectable. Plus, Poorhammer signing off on it is just the confirmation I need to know I'm not getting screwed. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
I was so angry at how fast the boxes sold out. These should be for newbies getting into the hobby and someone casually wanting to pick this up would just never get a chance. I tell people to play AoS cause it’s more newbie friendly and the models are more available/cheaper
Starting Votann, managed to get one copy of the Christmas box (would have tried for two but was also getting the Orks) from my FLGS but managed to find a Sagitaur at a discount as well which I've grabbed. Then I'm going to use the loyalty points the store offer for another Hekaton in the future. More roundabout way than getting two of the Christmas box but pretty good way of getting that sweet double up of the expensive/hard-to-find vehicles.
I mean, if I played orks I’d be all over it. I just cannot let myself buy a horde army and then jump all in. I also think part of my problem is my brain only has so much capacity for 40K and I’m struggling to retain all the knowledge.
09:15 y'know a warhammer 40k themed happy meal toy actually isn't the worst idea in the world (from GW's perspective), hooking all those kids on plastic crack at the same time...
I think it shold be pointed out that the Cadian Defense Force is a better value than the old Bastion Platoon. Back in the day, those cadian guard were only 35$ (maybe 45$ with the cadian upgrade sprue? but im pretty sure that sprue dropped in late 2021) And the old Sentinel was *dirt* cheap. While the comparison to now $$ might be good, I don't think its a true comparison to prices back then vs now, as the *new* cadian guard
In regards to the Krieg issue, I feel like the reason they don't do it is because there is only 1 plastic Krieg kit. As much as I want a full plastic refresh of Krieg, they aren't going to add them to combo boxes because they don't match the aesthetics of virtually every other Guard kit (FOB, Scout Sentinel, Rogal Dorn, Command Squad, etc). Ideally, I would like an upgrade sprue so I can convert at least my tank commanders and stuff without buying from forgeworld.
Before the pricing came out, i was considering the Marine box. Next force is planned to be Raven Guard, so all those Jumpers would have made a good core. Unfortunately, the box is £140, and the contents excluding the Outriders and Invader come to significantly less than that when bought from a 3rd party store. So, nope. No interest in any other force in the boxes. Potentially might have been for a T'au one, but no such luck. Not that anyone had any stock 15 minutes after pre-order started anyway!
The fact that an ATV costs 50 dollars and Outriders cost 60 is absolutely disgusting. They should not, under any circumstances, cost anywhere near that much money. ATV should be 35 dollars most like the old Attack Bike was.
Just got into guard two months ago and got the combat patrol and a rogal dorn, now with this box having two of them puts me off it id be happy with 2 tanks but 3 dorns is a bit much
I’m at least happy that hormagaunts are finally in a value box, hormagaunts are meant to be the vast ones that burry fortresses, of course they should be in value boxes!
8:47 As the exact player you are describing here (I bought the Leviathan box and found a Scions of Macragge for $90, I was fated to be a blueberry player), even with my useless new guy energy I was amazed at how dogshit the Space Marine box was.
I'll be entirely honest I just wanted spearhead force for the jump pack units. But as a new player I had no idea the outriders were that bad of a model that they don't go together right. And the ATV is usable but it requires outriders for it's passive to work. Still, 15 jump intercessors and a jump captain. I needed that causemy army is a bit light on melee right now. Secondly, considering combat patrols. The space marines have effectively like five or six of them. Every box no matter the subfaction is using basic units that not sub faction exclusive. Not a single one has jet pack intercessors. I get the idea of giving a box that gives a bunch and a captain for that very reason. The outriders and atv feel like a sort 'just throw it in, we need to expand the box a bit to make it look comparable. I think it's a decent box for newbies if you're looking for some melee. But it's clearly the worst of the boxes, and is thankfully the cheapest. And thast's totally fine since Space mariens gets like 50% of the support and shelf space compared to other factions. FInally You were saying Spearhead is like 320 american. I got it for 250 Canadian. So I'll consider it a steal.
As a guard player, I feel like I have to say I fundamentally disagree with the "too many troops" complaint for our boxes. This the Imperial Guard; we can out-horde the Tyranids on the table-top, and considering infantry guard is pretty good right now, you can NEVER have too many guardsmen. I do agree that double-Dorns in a box may be a bit much, I would like to see other vehicles make an appearance, and also the re-vamped Heavy Weapons Teams. Like come on, where the hell are they? Also as far as the being Cadian goes, the thing about Guard is that they are practically meant to be the customizable faction; Cadian equipment is just kinda seen as the universal standard for the Astra Militarum, so with minimal effort you can proxy Cadian troops as practically any force in the galaxy. That's always been a major hobby advantage for us.
I was lucky enough to get two Votann boxes and bought two combat patrols only needed to get two other things and I am now officially done buying my army :) loved this box
What you said about the Guard boxes, them being only interesting for complete beginners, can also be said about the Tyranids boxes. As someone who plays Tyranids since 4th edition I don't need any more Hormagaunts, Genestealers or Hive Tyrants. I don't understand why people are so hyped for the Tyranids box. You get a Hive Tyrant and "bigger Hive Tyrant"-looking model as well as small, fast melee guys and the other small, fast melee guys. Should've thrown out the Hive Tyrant and the Genestealers for something like a Carnifex and one of the new Bio/Pyrovores. Would make for a more interesting and balanced mix in my opinion.
had to book a holiday day in on the saturday to be able to go to gw and buy the angron box in the opening minutes. personally i really like box's having a big named character in them, makes gettting a primarch easier as its not one box that's 100 quid but it's also better for newer players. atleast in my opinion i think newer players should be the priority in christmas boxes. I fully realise all the box's still sell out to veteran players anyway but ya know.
I am just starting out in the hobby. Have not even bought anything yet but i've been humming and hawing About starting the hobby and purchasing one of these Christmas boxes. And I think part of the reason why most people say it sucks so much is because compared to last year. These boxes are a little rough. Like obviously, custodies was insane, but the death guard box was interesting and fun. The 1000 sun's box was interesting and fun. The sisters of battle was a solid box. Even the mechanicus Box was cool cause it had Cawl And that is 5 of the 8 boxes right there. The 2 space marine boxes were solid if you were into that. Chapter and the last box that i'm not mentioning is the nightbox which people freaked out over how much they liked because it was a mass of the amount of points and a punch of really cool units all in one box. I don't think it's necessarily that people are down on this because they remember The best of the previous years. I think a lot of people are just looking to last year and noticing how insane last year was meaning that this year is a complete disappointment. Like the only box that looks really interesting from a new player's perspective for a bunch of points is world leaders and maybe votann But if you're not into world eaters then there's not a lot and the Votann Box is solid value and if has planned on getting into the army. Don't get me wrong. I would probably pick it up, but it's not an exciting pick up.
For roughly 500 pts you can bring 60 Cadian Guardsmen. It seems to me that the Combat and Christmas box is actually slightly fewer bodies than what you would want for a 2K game.
[Idea for a video] Looking back at the color videos you uploaded Did you think about doing a video about the painting side of the hobby kinda like the start collecting for Tau? Or perhaps a comparison between brush vs airbrush painting with tips (like the hardware store wet palette tile)
That Space Marine box was total trash. When i saw the announcement, I laughed. When the pre-sales went up, everything was sold out except the Space Marine box because people knew it was complete utter trash. I have a couple friends who bought the World Eater box just for Angron and starting a second army so their in good hands. I know someone mentioned it in the comments, but i would like to see your version of a Christmas box and what you would like to see for the similar point cost for all armies. That could be a fun episode. Let you guys create a Christmas box worth about 6-700 points.
Oh, the lovely sound of people in their thirties thinking they're old. You two are adorable. :D I'm hearing a lot of "well, this is good if you're just getting into the army" and I really think that's the *point* of this box. Painting Phase did an interview at some point with a former GW manager, and that fellow (I've forgotten the name, alas) pointed out that the majority of retail sales isn't people with established armies. It's parents buying starter kits for their teens. I'm sure that skews even harder at Christmas, so it makes a lot of sense that these boxes are focused on getting started with a faction. Though I do agree that the Marines boxes, especially, seem to suffer from a mix of "here's the newest kit in a discount box!" and "We're still paying for this mold, so here's the same thing all over again!" But both of those factors are also less problematic when the buyer is uninvolved in the game and the eventual recipient is brand new. Also: clearly my aesthetic is very different from Brad's. I like Cadians, because their kit is actually *wearable*. Gas masks suck so hard. No real soldier would wear one unless they had to, and armies full of people in gas masks just look dumb outside of very specific contexts. :) (I also really don't like seeing a bunch of different regiments on a 40K table. 40K is a platoon-level conflict. No real army is made up of mixed forces at the platoon level. Even if your side has just suffered a disasterous defeat and has thrown together a scratch force from the remnants of several units, that won't be mixed at the platoon level! Having an army with a squad of Cadians and a squad of Death Korps and a squad of Catachans all on the same table doesn't look cool, it looks cartoonish and chaotic. And yes, this *is* just my opinion, man; I'm not stating facts here, just describing an aesthetic. If I ever meet you across a table I won't be all "oh, that looks stupid." But I'll think it.)
I wanted the ork box but it got sold out too fast. You'd think they'd print tons of them but no, but hey i can get one of the billion copies of leviathan they printed
You guys seem to consistently underestimate how many infantry is standard for a guard list. You need a crap ton of infantry to play the game well, 60+ easily. Paying 50 bucks msrp is crazy, so value boxes including 2 squads of infantry is great for newer or slightly seasoned guard players. I understand liking krieg more but litetally every other kit is cadian, so dropping krieg in a value box would throw off the themeing when you dont even get a krieg command squad anywhere in the plastic range. I do agree votann is great. It has a bunch of units with no combat patrol overlap AND the non characters are all really great units roght now too, and historically have been good units. Got one on order from the lgs myself.
Even as someone trying to get into an army, I like world eaters. But I do not want the commitment of having an Angron yet, Ill probably get one eventually but I want to make the specific choice to do so otherwise the commitment is too much, I just want 500 points of normal units to start I dont want to commit to painting Fuck Off Big Angron just as I cross the start line . I don't wanna start with the final big thing and I feel thats true for alot of people. So even if the World Eaters box is good value I wont buy it, I do not want his sprue guilt tripping me.
I have to somewhat disagree on the Guard Box and some others. First, Christmas boxes are not meant to be bought twice, the pre-order system even prevented that. The entry cost into Warhammer is very high, and this is GW reducing it to gain (new) people playing new (sub) factions. This is also helped by the fact that they are strongly limited (FOMO), and sold at the perfect time... Christmas. Second, especially in the Guard box, they are all new minis. GW is currently in the process of replacing many older kits as seen in the latest Space Marine release wave. The new kits usually also have less obvious mould lines etc. Therefore, I think the Guard box is quite good. Would honestly hate it if there was a Leman Russ in there, I think Rogal Dorns look so much better...
Before they are sold out, he? They were sold out (votan and some aos standing out) within seconds in europe. Same with the legiones imperialis. I hate this so much. Its constantly happening since about may 2020.
Weight in Plastic sounds arbitrary too. Complex models would never sell, and basically no one would play them, because they have to pay more money to do the same things ingame than armies with less complex/bulky models
I would have considered to buy it too but I already bought a box of 5 jump pack interssessors.. I love the models but I dont want 20 of them (well not yet at least...)
Wanted the Votann box, but it sold out online and no local store could get me one. They're limited to 3 of each and all are spoken for. Really irritating, especially when people are posting here they got multiple sets. Considering everything else is sold out for 6+ months at a time I'm just gonna give up on ever building the army up at this point. Either stick the crap in a closet until GW pulls their head out or sell it on eBay and use the money on other products companies actually want to sell me. Also I'm hoping tons were bought by scalpers so I can laugh at the eBay auctions where they try to sell Votann boxes for $500-600 not realizing that there's nothing special or limited edition in the set and the main draw was the discounted price. They're just gonna be trying to sell normal models for way over retail for no reason.
As a Guard player I hate the new cadian so much. Mainly because the old ones just dissappered out of the stock. Secondly the uniform just looks dumb (kneepads.. all i say) And as you said way cadians... the old models were fine. The should have just left the alone and focused on an other regiment
If they keep decreasing in value that would suck, been wanting to get into 40k for a little bit but it seems like everything I keep seeing worse and worse deals in either army im interested in
shit on it as much as you want, i wish i got two copies of the shieldbreaker strike force. never have to buy troops ever again. as well as a max squad of bladeguard
I wasnt even able to order the one I wanted because the GW website didn’t show any of the pre orders as available until 5 hours AFTER the pre orders started.
Flicking through old white dwarfs and catalogues is seriously depressing; battle for skull pass was £50 and had over 100 models in it, now the battle boxes are about 2× or 3× more expensive than back in 2006, and you only get about 30-40 models. I get nearly 2 decades is a long time, but god damn, have they lost the plot.
Space marine box is disgusting along with their combat patrol being leftovers of Leviathan, I fail to understand why they don’t just start to sell 1k point holiday boxes around $250 other than consumer disconnect and greed.
I don't think our hosts understand Guard. 60 infantry isn't the max you'd want in an army, it's the minimum for a balanced force. And command squads are great for building stand ins for our absurdly overpriced characters, so having a few extra is great. 2 combat patrols and this holiday box is a very good start to an IG army.
What do you typically run for IG lists? I hear a lot of comments from Poorhammer being frustrated by the focus on Cadian infantry, as opposed to Krieg.
Yeah, 60 sounds like a lot until you remember that it's 120 points for 20 Cadians. 20 Cadians are the equivalent to 10 Necron Warriors, 10 Eldar Storm Guardians (and their lil artillery thing ig), 5 Khorne Zerkers, etc. Like they even acknowledge with other hordey infantry (nid gaunts) that you're probably running 60 of them if you're trying to use gaunts in a balanced list, but they seem to treat Guard as if people only play it with 90% tanks. I get not knowing armies well, but cmon, you treated Nids right and they use battleline the same way! Hell, 60 hormagaunts is still less reasonable than 60 cadians, bc unless you're doing a swarm oriented list, or just fucking love hormagaunts, you'll still probably have a mix of termagants and hormagaunts, whereas Guards basic infantry aren't mechanically all that different. Nobody has any reason to run Cadians and Krieg in the same list aside from thinking that they both look cool.
@@legodragon1999not OP but I am a guard main. The number can honestly depend on what kind of list you’re running, but as another commenter said 20 of our guys is roughly the same strength of the standard squad of almost every other army. Basically, in you’re running a regular old combined arms type list, you’re looking at around 100-120 bodies. For a tank focused list, about 60-80; for an artillery list, 80-100. And of course infantry focused lists will go even higher. It’s even possible to do a pure infantry list and get about 360 models on the board (and it’s strangely viable, too). PS: Kreigers and Cadians actually have separate datasheets. The basic gist is that cadians take objectives better while kreigers are more tanky.
Hosts are dead set on guard being the "Only tanks" army and ignore the existence of troops on a frequent basis, according to Brad and Erick the only way to play guard is 80 Leeman Russes and like one squad of infantry to sit on the back objective, why? simple, they don't like horde armies (unless you are nids ig) and Horde guard players find it annoying (Hell, I aint even a guard player and I find it annoying)
"If you have an aunt or an uncle who's buying 200 US dollars worth of stuff, hook me up with that aunt or uncle." I totally wasn't thinking adopted aunt, I was thinking Brad wanted a new sugar mamma/daddy on the side for his GW fix.
Crazy thing is...almost. In UK after the 20% off they get there(because they get lowest base price as well as the best standard discount for 3rd party stores), Angron comes out to £80, which equates to $100 USD.
@@demon1103 can confirm got angron for like £84 plus a few quid off with my loyalty points. Recently got a questoris NIB for £55 too off FB marketplace they MSRP at £105 and on 3rd party stores go for about £80-90
Agreed. Cause the Salamanders Strikeforce box gave you. Adrax, 3 Aggressors, 3 Eradicators, and I believe 20 Intercessors along with Salamander Primaris frames. Which is an amazing starting point for someone wanting to play Salamanders. Or even just getting some decent units for marines.
We need a dream faction box video, I'd love to see what you guys would pick for fairly balanced starter boxes, you guys could even pull a GW and try and fit in a kit that doesn't sell well for each faction
The only Christmas box I regret missing out on was the Knights box last year. I really want to make a Chaos Knight army and that would have been great but of course I was a dummy and saying “nope not going to start a new army” back then. I’m pretty sure I’ll never see a thousand sons box set that’s worth it because I already have the major centerpiece.
Honestly i felt similar about the nids box this year. I kinda wish it didnt have the hive tyrant because theres so many hive tyrants floating around on ebay and stuff. Its been in like, every value box for nids for years
As a Raven Guard player I love that we got our own box! I just saw it walking by my local game store one day and was surprised when I saw that because GW kinda forgets about us! And it’s everything a Raven Guard player could want. Except Reivers. I can’t help them there.
My wife got the Votann box, and I got the Tyranid one. Need those Nids for Horde mode, and also the Emissary is just cool. My wife was kinda falling out of love with the hobby until we played Horde mode, and now she's looking to pick up the Combat Patrol too so she has the whole army like you said lol I tried to get her to get the Ork one because I love Squigs, but she plays Ork vehicles and already has a Kill Rig, so it didn't really interest her. I could have picked it up for myself I guess, but I wanted the Nid box more and money is expensive "It hurts when I get up." You didn't have to come for me like this Brad, you didn't have to go for the throat
Australians have just brutal prices, exchange rate's about 2 AUD to 1 GBP, but they pay a 3 to 1 rate. 224 for a Kill Rig and 98 for Outriders. Interesting to contrast them with Japan, which has a similar exchange rate (after the yen are cents math) but much lower prices, 18700 for a Rig and 8300 for Outriders. I get that their pricing models are from a bygone time, and they like to talk about how much it costs to ship things out there, but I can't imagine trying to partake in this hobby at GW prices over there.
@@nebulonian1385gw shifting the costs to the consumer is pretty dogshit when they likely ship in large bulk quantities. Espescially making it a difference of 10-40 dollars or more
"The Voh-taaaahn~" is so very melodious. Edit: Also, you understandably forgot the lift suited guys with the heavy weapons, one of the coolest but under represented units in the range.
The Sylvaneth box from last year was killer. If you built it for max points, it was like 1300 and all useful units. For another $200 or so, you could make a legitimately solid starting army.
The Ossiarch Box this year is absolutely bonkers value. Morghasts are a pain in the ass to find in the US, you get a LK, and you get more of your anchor units (Mortek+Nanny and Kavalos). It’s very solid and the Harvester is pretty fun to paint.
You guys should compare start collecting/combat patrols over the years. And the old school battleforce boxes. But yeah that SM box is so transparently dangling 15 of the new shiny assault guys in front of you so they can get rid of the atvs and bikes.
In defense of your statement on the guard box: as a guard player myself 40 infantry from this box and the combat patrol alone is not enough. Most guard players run a minimum 60 and an average of 80-90. If you’re going heavy into infantry that number goes well over 100. If there is anything certain with guard, you can never not use another 10 or 20 infantry here or there.
Leagues box: Cool. Awesome. Nice mix of units. Got me to start a Leagues army. The box I got. Guard box: Cool. Awesome. Personally would've swapped one of the Dorns out for either a Leman Russ or a pair of Sentinels, but it's a neat tank so it's fine. Tyranids box: Cool. Awesome. Nice spread of units, but I've pretty much got all that stuff anyway. Doesn't matter so it's fine. Orks box: Not a huge fan of Snaggas. Not that I don't like 'em, just not interested in 'em. Fine I guess. Don't really care. Space Marines box: Boring. Shit. Terrible. Garbage. Who the fuck came up with this box. World Eaters box: WHAT IS IT WITH EVERYONE AND EIGHTBOUND?! THIS THING SOLD OUT *IMMEDIATELY.*
Christmas boxes are so weird man. They're clearly designed and marketed as gifts, but for the majority of people it's a hard sell to ask them to spend $250-$300 depending on what currency you use on, to someone who is unfamiliar with the hobby, literally just plastic toys.
Besides 2 squads of cultists and a myphtic blight crawler i never brought a singular box for any of my warer armies. Only big boxes most of the time with a discount. So far not bad.
Something i thought about during this video, what should Warhammer minis be priced at? I mean, we all know Warhammer is over priced, but by how much? Like, how much should a box of infantry be? How about a character, or vehicle/monster?
Their value is generally terrible for the amount of money you have to put in. When I first bought holiday boxes they were 80ish dollars, now they are 200+ Who the fuck can afford them anymore? I don't care about how much you save because I can't realistically afford the box in the first place.
But where can you get them ? (Now) The Space Marine box is really bad if you take into account that the ATV is in Warhammer Imperium Magazine, so the savings compared to where you can get them alternatively is really bad.
