That was a beautiful video Natalie, very pleasant to watch. Well done! 🍁 I just wanted to say thank you for all the little details that you work so hard to pay attention to that can often get overlooked. You and your work are appreciated 👏 Very inspiring!
Well being from Canada, I typically do fall from sept 1-October 31, and then Christmas Nov 1-Dec 31 .... so two months of fall and 2 months of Christmas
I was so upset and tired because I’m a new mom of a 6 months old and my hormones are crazy and just watching your video you motivated me to clean. We are moving because we don’t have enough money and I think that why I’m upset but trying to keep calm and I’m trying to no get overwhelmed. Thanks for this wonderful videos hope you having a bette day than mine.
Oh gosh I do remember feeling stressed out like you describe. Everyone talks about pregnancy hormones but nobody mentions that it’s much worse afterwards right? I have promised myself that Next time I have a baby I will take a well entitled break more often and NOT feel guilty about it. I think that was my biggest problem. Following Sarah Ockwell Smith’s Gentle Parenting helped me too. I know it’s hard mama but you WILL ABSOLUTELY make it through!
Rebecca Glew thanks for your kind words and definitely. They don’t talk about the clogs if your breastfeeding and I have 2 friends that are pregnant and i tell them everything just in case they want to breastfeed i tell them that is great but it’s not easy it’s normal to feel frustrated but it’s the best sensation of there life and that i bring this information to them just in case they want to breastfeed to be prepared and they don’t have surprised. I really struggle sometimes but I just try to stay positive and my husband haves being help full emotionally.
Stephanie, you're doing great! Life will pull back together in time. You'll find a new normal in your new home and you'll catch up on that darned cleaning in 18 years lol! The mental/hormonal battle was really tough for me in the first year as well. And it felt like another breast feeding crisis happened basically monthly, so I feel ya! Push on, practice a healthy routine and give yourself plenty of Grace. Baby land can be a lonely place but you are not alone 💙💙
After being married for over 28 years, we have a routine on Holiday decor.First week is September is Fall decor. First week of October is for Halloween decor. First week of November is Thanksgiving decor. Finally, on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving, we go Christmas Decor Crazy. That weekend, we bake cookies, write Christmas cards and put our tree up. P.S. I didn't realize JCPennys did home decor. I am going to visit there soon. Thank you😘
Yes to your opinion on washer and dryer. 1st: That one machine gets used twice as much as one so much faster to break and 2nd: you cans wash and dry at the same time ...with a couple kids (or any multiple people in one house) there is no point
Because Canadian Thanksgiving is in early October, I decorate for fall around mid-September. Our fall decor stays up until November 10th, then we have about a week of no seasonal decor because of Remembrance Day, and because my son's birthday is November 13th, and between actually birthday and whenever the party falls, I don't want him to feel back-burner to the holidays. Then after his birthday, all bets are off and it's Christmas time! Christmas decor is always up by/on December 1st, and stays up until end of January because both my mom and brother have birthdays in January and they want it to still be festive for their birthdays, so I've adopted that for my home even though I no longer live with them.
Got some cleaning done in my kitchen while watching this morning. Don't know my favorite chore, but it might be vacuuming and also folding laundry (because I can sit and watch tv or something haha).
Just when the baby fell asleep, I got the notification this was up. Spot on! 💕 1st of December all decorations around the house and setting up the tree 🎄
I love your cleaning videos! Some of my favorites to play while I clean up too 👏🏻 and I diffuse cinnamon oil too! So excited for thanksgiving this year. I’m actually about to start processing pumpkins to have fresh purée to pop in the freezer and use later. We decorate for Christmas right after thanksgiving!
Thanks for the inspiration! (btw since watching your cleaning motivation videos I have started rolling my towels instead of folding them so much easier to store and pull out of the cupboard!). I'm in the UK so we don't decorate for Thanksgiving. In our home we start to get Christmassy in early December (after my husband's Birthday in late November). xx
Today is actually the first day of Advent (40 days before christmas), so today is a great day to start! We usually don't set up until after Thanksgiving, though, because we have a real tree.
We usually don’t decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. However, I ended up decorating for Christmas this week since our baby is due next week 🙈 🤗 Thank you nesting!
UK watcher here. We don't decorate for each season really aside from flowers and a pumpkin or two! My decor wouldn't really allow it anyway😂. We mostly decorate our rooms to look how we want them to look, rather than neutral to allow for seasonal changes! 🤷 Of course we do decorate for Christmas but most only start late November, even then there's a huge debate as to whether that's too early! We don't have Thanksgiving...so can't comment on that! 😂 I love watching you all decorate seasonally in America as it's so unusual for us! 😂 X
Everyone is so anxious for Christmas this year!! All my friends already have their xmas tree out and decorated lol i feel slow.. I don't usually put it up til after Thanksgiving...
September 1st I put out fall decor and that stays up. Nov 1st I put out a couple Thanksgiving things. Day after Thanksgiving all fall and Thanksgiving decor is put away and out comes Christmas 😍 that stays out until the day after New Years. After New Years, I put away Christmas decor but anything that is more winter type decor (like pinecones or pine garland) stays out until spring. 😊
I don't decorate for Halloween, I just decorate for Fall in early October. Then the day after Thanksgiving, I decorate for Christmas. It is tradition for my family to keep our Christmas decor up through New Year's Eve as it still feels festive. Then on January 1st, all of the decor goes away for a fresh start :)
I live in Canada, so my Thanksgiving Decor ties in with fall decor in October. In November I start to slowly change out my fall decor with my winter decor that will hang around until about February/March. My Christmas starts coming out December first and we go and pick out a real tree on the first weekend of December and generally decorate it on the second weekend 😊
I love the table runner and the little corn car you found! I think vacuuming is my favorite thing cleaning wise as well. Whether I was able to dust before or not, there's something so satisfying about running the vacuum cleaner. I need to get that done today, actually. Also, it was nice to see someone else with a desk that looks like mine does majority of the time. I feel I never can keep up with it or all the paper clutter we accumulate!
I loved it. Just having moved from our big farm house to a TINY duplex, I can relate to the minimalist decor style. This will be a very different year for us and I am embracing it☺ I can not function when our space looks cluttered in general. I barely sleep lol.
All of those serving pieces are so great for Thanksgiving. I am doing the same thing I’m decorating for Christmas but I’m keeping up my thanksgiving and fall decor and just mixing them together :)
I just went to 🎯 and got Peppermint and Orange Clove sprays. I agree with you... Snowdrop isn't my favorite scent from MM. Thanks for the always amazing content!
Hi Natalie! I love this video, it helps me feel in the mood for the fall season, despite it still being in the 80s here in Honolulu 😊 I was wondering if you could make a video on what you do for lunches as a stay at home mom (for yourself and the kids)! That’s something I always struggle with and I would love some inspiration. Sending lots of love to you and yours ♥️
I like to vacume and mop. Especially seeing my kitchen and dining area white tiles shine. :) I really don't like washing, its the least thing I like to do but it has to be done. I can't believe how fast the dust comes back in my house after cleaning. :0 Living in Australia doesn't help with the dust. lol
I decorate for thanksmas! I put my tree up last weekend as well as put out my thanksgiving decor! I just love to decorate in general so I take every opportunity to decorate. I never would have thought to go to jcpennys for decorations!
I have my Thanksgiving 🦃decor up now and I usually like to do Christmas 🎄 decorating the Friday/weekend after Thanksgiving except for our tree which usually goes up the first week of Advent.
I’ll have to come back to watch the rest I only have time to watch half now 😂. But for the Christmas tree I’m planning on putting it up this week. Usually we do it the week of thanksgiving but this year my husband is traveling a lot for work and will be out of town for Christmas and thanksgiving so we’re decorating while he is home 🤗
Great video! Love that you love essential oils! Not sure if you’ve ever heard of it Natalie, but one of my favs is On Guard from dōTERRA.. I use it for everything now, cleaning my house and diffusing and many other things. It kills germs and keeps them away! Definitely one of my must haves, especially as a mama :) anyways have a great day!
I always LOVE the music you use in your videos on both this channel and y'alls family vlog channel. What is your process or method for choosing the music you do?
I would decorate for Xmas the day after Halloween. But my husband hated it so we compromised for the day after Thanksgiving. As always love the cleaning motivation.
We always set up our fall decorations at the beginning of November. We never really do thanksgiving decor because we don’t do thanksgiving at our house. But our tree usually goes up the week after thanksgiving. But if I had my way I’d probably put up Christmas decorations like a week ago 😂
For Christmas decor, I wait until the day after Thanksgiving. I do indulge in some Christmas music and movies before then, though! I'm curious on your approach to assigning chores to the kiddos! How do you handle giving them developmentally appropriate jobs at home?
My daughters birthday is December 7th so we will set our christmas tree up after that, until then we will slowly be incorporating christmas decor as we slowly put our fall decor away!
I decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving... except this year... I already decorated minus the tree. I have a 2yo and I’m pregnant so I decided I’d put it up in phases and early enough to really enjoy it lol 🤷🏻♀️🤰🏻🎄🍁☃️
To my dismay, it has already snowed 3 times in Chicagoland - so since it already feels like Christmastime, we’re just going to roll with it and put up the tree this weekend. 😉❄️🎄 Plus Thanksgiving is as late as it gets this year, so it’s about time anyway! 😊
We've set up our tree as late as dec 22nd bc it takes the strength of an army to get it out of the attic 🤣 but we aim for mid dec for the tree for sure and decor around then too
We decorate Halloween/fall September 1st and take Halloween only decor down November 1st leaving fall decor up for thanksgiving then Christmas goes up the day after thanksgiving and all fall comes down ..... and my washer and dryer are two different colors so holler to the mismatched washer dryer tribe!!!
I really don't think there is any person on the planet who looks more like Belle from Beauty and the Beast than you, Natalie. Also, could you please link your soap/sponge holders? Thanks!
I´m going to decorate for christmas on the first of December. I want to see my fall decoration a little bit longer. :) (I live in Germany...so not really Thanksgiving here...at least not in November) Edit: Funny thing is I wrote this comment before really starting to watch this video. Then I came to the part of your "question of the day" and realized I already answered the question. =)
Do the boys still play with/enjoy the hot wheels table?! I was wanting to get one for my two boys this year but don’t want to add more clutter if it isn’t a good investment!
We really don't celebrate thanksgiving. We don't have a Christmas tree but I have a village tree. My parents painted an entire village of ceramic houses. I have a decorated ladder that they go on. I'll do that the weekend before thanksgiving. And I usually take it down on the 1st of Jan
