In Oostmahorn there are a variety of facilities including:
-children’s outdoor play areas - There are 3 playgrounds. One at the beach, one has an air-trampoline and an indoor playground. The third one is at the holiday park "de Schans".
-for children, there is a 300-meter long sandy and grass beach.
-there is a small supermarket, a snack bar, pizzeria, a cafeteria on the beach, and 3 restaurants. Next to the bungalow park is a harbor where you can rent boats, surfboards or bicycles.

There are miles of sandy beaches on the main island Ameland and Schiermonnikoog.
In the area near the park is a sailing/surfing school with a beautiful beach.

-in the nearby Frisian village of Anjum are shops, restaurants, Atm and the supermarket "Coop".
-the nearby National Park Lauwersmeer is a paradise for fishermen, water sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, hikers, and cyclists.
-you can take a sightseeing cruise on the Lauwersmeer or at the Wadden Sea, where you can watch the seals.
-if you like shopping, you can visit the beautiful old town of Dokkum.
-on the islands of Ameland and Schiermonnikoog, there are miles of sandy beaches. There is a good timetable to reach the islands by boat.
