Holiday in the Park 2023 at Six Flags Over Texas - Great Shows, New Food, But Where Are The Lights?

I was there earlier and Santa was in the Crazy Horse Saloon where there was zero line. A huge departure from when I used to come and they had Santa in the Majestic theater.

We went the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Was very underwhelmed by the amount of lights, especially compared to the past couple of years and other Christmas events in the area. The walkway behind Aquaman being open now was a complete missed opportunity for decorations. It was completely dark, minus the normal overhead lighting. We couldn’t find the Nativity or Hanukkah displays anywhere. Several places where lights were hung but not on. A friend of ours went last weekend and found a little Nativity that appears to still be “in progress” over in that corridor behind Aquaman. So maybe they will get around to that area before Christmas. 🤷🏻‍♀️ On a positive note, we did buy kettle corn. The cinnamon toast flavor is addictive and amazing! The couple that runs that stand is super sweet. We did have to giggle at the Santa hats on the spees in the cave. We really missed the light show that they used to do in the JB’s/Cave area. It was a favorite stop for us back in the day. I guess it’s been cut for this year. We will hopefully be able to go back and see if they have added more.

😢 those poor animals at the critter corral looks so sad and bored. There is not enough room so I don't know why they would put them there😮

I went here 2 weekends ago and I was underwhelmed by the amount of lights they had. There were a lot of dark areas that could have used more lights! Also when I went, the haunted house was $20. So it's good to see they adjust prices

Entertainment and food look great! I also completely agree on the Christmas lights. They look like they ran out of time and gave up. What's with the 0.99 surcharge for supplies and labor though?! That's ridiculous, just lump it in with the prices. Great tour of the park!

Good to see that there are a lot of specialty items on the dining plan Regarding the lights - I get where you're coming from. There is at least one other theme park I take vacations to on a regular basis and they have an extraordinary amount of lights at their park. So it's really not a good idea for Six Flags to slack off in the lighting area.

Please name the cast. Especially the blonde female lead, who i think was also the female lead in the Holmes frightfest show. Theyre all awesome and deserve recognition!
