This is such a wonderful recipe! I've made it over the years, sometimes substituting zucchini, and sometimes mixing both yellow squash and zucchini for some color. Thank you, Paula for doing your Thanksgiving video's🦃 sequentially. Makes it easier to find again. And, thank you for the shrimp n grits recipe! I was asking for that a very long time! Can't wait to make that too!😁💕🐾🦃🦃🦃

🚨🚨MRS. PAULA!!! I will be making this dish with one change that I think even you might like! I have started using crushed pork rinds as bread crumbs for EVERYTHING. It’s “out of this world!” and beyond. I used regular flavor pork rinds and crush them in the ninja blender. For this recipe I wouldn’t even douse them in butter (you could) but they don’t need it. They’re fat filled already and will crisp deliciously. Please try it! I would like to request you do a green bean casserole holiday recipe. My little 4 yr old girl, Wolfie and I enjoy the hoot out of your videos! Love from Dallas TX!

every time she mentions SCAD, I get so sad. I was accepted with a scholarship but wasn’t allowed to attend. It’s one of the saddest and heartbreaking moments of missed opportunity in my life. I was so proud.

I hope you can fit this in before thanksgiving, I always make a broccoli casserole for Thanksgiving & Christmas, but have never really had a recipe, I’m sure your recipe is delicious and I would love to try it this year. Also, I would like to to thank you once again for all that you have shared with us (recipes, your home, family, friends and a little bit of happiness & joy when a lot of us needed that) over this time of quarantine. I have loved these videos from the start and have continued watching daily and grown to depend on them day to day for inspiration to make new meals for my family. Also, I love the fact that your videos are unscripted, it feels like I’m setting with my mother or grandmother in their kitchen while teaching me how to cook. I truly enjoy seeing Eddie in videos and would love to learn more of his and his momma’s recipes. I love... squash casserole !! I agree you have to get the water out of the squash and I rather put my crackers in the melted butter too . Miss Paula, one time when I was about 17 years old I wanted a squash casserole so bad , so I thought I'm gonna make me one. Ya'll... I forgot to boil the squash 1st . HAHAHA....!! 🤣🤣🤣😁🤪😜 Needless to say, I learned my lesson since then . By George I'll never make that mistake again. I made this but added 2 eggs scrambled and 1/2 cup mayo and 1/2 cup sourcream. Mixed eggs with mayo and sc I also added green bell pepper to the onions and cooked that together. Added diced ham and it made a good entree with the addition of the ham.

It was nice to have a quarantine or quaraDeen time with you but it's time to heal and move on and I agree changing name. We love these videos I watch with my daughter everyday. I learned to cook from my great grandma and grandma. But my mom isn't much of a cooker lol I was fortunate enough to live beside both my great grandma and grandma so they cooked for all of us so no real need for her to cook. She can but anyway Alex told me she feels like she in the kitchen with MamMaw again so thank you for that Paula. I cook alot and im still using the same paula pans and pots ( the red ones) I bought at K-mart about 10 yrs or more. I take good care of them. Only reason to buy any new ones is to change up the color scheme. I love her brand of pots and pans.

I make squash casserole in the summer when all those yellow squash are coming in from the garden. I think the recipe I use is from your Lady and Sons cookbook. We usually have corn casserole with Thanksgiving. How about a recipe for a good cranberry jello relish?

I went to junior college for one year, make more money than most of my friends with masters degrees. Lol Theresa - I think I got a social degree, too! 😉 I love a good squash casserole. Yum! It makes sense that the onion be sautéed alone - that way the excess water from the squash doesn’t water down the onion flavor.
