The Holiday Wreaths at Colonial Williamsburg are a beautiful sight to see. The artistic talent and creativity of each wreath that adorns the Colonial homes here make a visit to this impressive outdoor history museum even more of a memorable occasion.
The intricate and careful design work behind each decoration found here is proudly on display for all to see during the holiday season. With many of the 18th-century homes found up and down the Duke of Gloucester street, as well as the homes, structures, and outbuildings throughout Virginia's old Colonial Capitol, wearing a hand-crafted wreath and decorations, and granting visitors a curious exploration inside Colonial Williamsburg.
Discovering the amazing beauty and design that went into each wreath's festive arrangement is the perfect recipe for carrying out a most interesting day of discovery here. As one unveils the holiday decorations that allow the city to stand out more than ever during this time of year, a growing interest in learning how the idea and concept of each one came to be, is sure to surface in your mind.
Sarah and I are happy to be in the historic city on a beautiful December day and are set to take a full walking tour along the Duke of Gloucester Street, towards the Capitol building, and then all the way back. Gladly taking in all of the impressive and unique works of Colonial Williamsburg's skilled and creative wreath makers.
Join us for this holiday stroll down the most historic avenue in all of America during the most wonderful time of the year.

Another Great Quest Scott and Sarah ! Looks Like a wonderful day ! Could the mystery fruit on some of the wreaths be Persimmons fruit ?
@QuestCapsule

Thanks Dan & Alaine! Yes it was a great day in CW! I just Googled the Persimmons fruit, and sure enough, it does resemble some of the mystery dried fruits we weren't sure of! I think we might be on to something! 🎅🏼💪🏼🎄Hope you guys are doing great!

@@QuestCapsule Yes. I had googled the Persimmon fruit as well however couldn't find a way to upload a picture of them here on YT comments, We learned on Our adventures that they are local to the mid to southern East coast and also a huge favorite of The Wild Horses and Ponies we so enjoy ! We are well and looking forward to The Holidays ! Merry Christmas to you, Sarah and all ! 🎅🤶

Small apples are known as "Lady Apples" and do not grow any bigger...some of the red berries you were showing were Winterberries which come from a tree...also I do not know if you mentioned it but the blueish berries were juniper..and the roping around the door is pine roping...I am familiar since I do this type of decorating myself here in Philadelphia...love Williamsburg especially around Christmas...have been there at least 12 times....feels like home every time I go there...Thank you for the great videos...
