Looks worthy of replacing blue! It’s nice to see good mountain biking popping up close to southern Ontario. That area west of Buffalo is a hidden gem! I went skiing in December at Holiday Valley which is 2 minutes down the road from Holimont and it was great. I am hoping to make it a yearly trip each Christmas break. Great video

yeah man, this place is only going to get better, and looks like there is some other sick biking close by like Jake's Rocks, need to check that place out next time

@@ToogyHowser trails at jakes rocks (TAJR) is a must ride IMO. only another hour or so from ellicotville. but, unless youre shuttling with friends, be prepared to pedal back up (about 700 vertical feet), or get an eMTB. Lots of place to stay around jake rocks in Warren PA, which a nice little place with a friendly downtown area with places to eat/drink post ride, that is actively building out their outdoor recreational appeal/infrastructure too. the area including and around TAJR really proves what can be done with the will and commitment from local and municipal governments. many areas in Ontario could learn from them, if they only wanted to.

Glad to see you made it there and that the two new trails were open. Now I have to go back to try them. This place is a hidden gem right now and it will be a regular visit from here on out. Hope to run into you there!

Thanks for sharing...will take a trip there for sure.... and with the winters getting colder and shorter that makes sense to build a larger mountain bike trail Network

That drop on newts always intimidate me until I finally tried it. It’s much easier than it looks. Same with that larger wooden double at the bottom.

I was looking for info on Holimont and couldn't find much except for your video which inspired my son and I to give it a try. Well we went there today - - our first time at an actual bike park - and who did we see but Toogy Howser himself in the lift line a couple of times just 2 people ahead of us!! Hope your races went well today and thanks for the great videos!!

That's awesome! I love reading comments like this! it's one reason I continue to make videos, I know this sport can be intimidating and I try and show people that if I can do it, you can do it! Glad you had a great time at Holimont! It's a great bike park! Next time say Hi!

Great video...that "One" trail was built years ago, before the bike park was a thing. I hope that the trail crew gets to go over there and re-work some of it, because there are good parts to the trail. Hope you found Sasquatch back in the woods, it is a really fun trail too.

Don’t get me wrong, great vid but honestly I’m never going to go out of my way to go here. Mountain creek is amazing, Killington, Blue mountain, Highlands, Thunder mountain, Powder Ridge. They are all closer to where I live and simply better.

Hey Dude, It's a closer drive for me to that bike park. Should I just skip Quebec and go there? Far easier drive for me.

Well Quebec has some amazing riding so not sure this better, but it is really good and much closer!

Toogy, I see you use tinted goggles. I’m looking into getting a pair, do they make the it dark and hard to see the trails in the woods?
@ToogyHowser
@ToogyHowser Год назад
they are a little dark, I'm actually thinking of swapping out to a clear lens or maybe a transition lens if they make them for googles?
@JumpflowLine

Yes I think they do, not sure which brand makes them but I know they’re out there. And thanks for feedback

The trail is call one as it was the fiest downhill trail built. Sometimes they have a young lady give out tours, she explained the history. It was just xc riding for years. Then some members built the 'one' trail. This is why it also looks more like a down country trail, and why there are those two steep climbs in the middle. Since then they added more trails and as of last year I think allowed public lift access. Hopefully they will keep building/opening new trails. There is a lot potential and good dirt!

@ToogyHowser
@ToogyHowser Год назад
it was! awesome dirt! The lift lines were a little long, but apparently they have more bike trays on order for next season, so that should speed it up!

i went to hilmont for the first time yesterday and tbh my favorite part was not the riding i have a bad stutter so i have social anxiety and i went there alone and was just able to talk and tag along with people i felt confortable out of my confort zone

I want to go here but when i look at their website they only offer season passes and all i want is a day pass, so i don't know how much it costs.

I’m pretty sure once the season starts they will have day passes, I think last year it was around $40 for a day pass
