We are HAL fans and have enjoyed Alaska x2 on the Koningsdam and the Zuiderdam. Glacier Bay is magnificent…Alaska is a postcard of pristine beauty! We enjoy the traditional cruising style on HAL. My teens enjoyed Koningsdam and loved being independent while onboard. Thanks Sherry! 😊
Took 2 Alaska cruises. Always included glacier bay. What impressed me was the absolute stillness and the freshest air. Both cruises were on Princess and I loved it
Yep visit glacier Bay in 2015 on princess Golden princess it was so amazing just to sit there and the ship rotate and just so quiet turned off the endless loop of the love boat lol and just enjoyed the peaceful nature ice the birds it was amazing
My husband and I were on this cruise! We appear at the piano bar and on the upper viewing level at the bow at Glacier Bay and at the pool area. (One morning my husband said "I think that's the cruise tips lady from RU-vid") What a great time we had on our first cruise and our first time to Alaska. Thank you for the videos. I have bee on that itinerary on Eurodam! I feel like Icy Strait is a nice little bonus. I there is not a ton to do there so I'm glad it does not replace one of the regular port but it is a really nice extra. Love the Eurodam!
Ok now, how about a video of what kind of items you packed and how they worked out for you. I know you have some older videos of this but would love to know what worked well for this trip. I try not to pack things I will not use but want to definitely pack what I need to. Alaska is one of those places you want to pack accurately for.

My husband and I took this exact cruise last month (May 11-18, 2024) and LOVED it!! Would not change a thing either itinerary or ship. The Eurodam was just right! Planning to do again in 2026!
You went in May and you're wearing a winter-ish coat? My family and I are looking at end of June/July next year. So, I'm assuming we'll need layers for some of the trip? Even then?
I wore a rain coat with warm Layers underneath. It is ALWAYS cold on the open water in Alaska but you could enjoy some 70-80 degree days too. All about layering.

Love glacier bay been there many times. My kids always had a great time in Alaska. I was invited to luncheon the first time Eurodam docked in NYC. Awesome ship!
I just came back tonight from this cruise it was fabulous. The only thing I didn’t like especially was the shower which was not very forceful. Music. I am sorry that was a bore. But it was terrific.
So fun to see you back on HAL. It’s been about 20 years since we sailed them. Miss that size of ship! Glad you enjoyed the tub but we dislike stepping into a tub for our shower and it takes away head space for taller people. Looking forward to that glass shower situation on Sun Princess!
Our pleasure! Totally see the point about that tub. I think that's why cruise lines are moving away from tubs. I think my bath-adoration may be the minority!
So apparently you guys got off the the ship and we got on! We were on the very next sailing and it was a great cruise! One thing I believe is a must for Glacier Bay, make you you check out the view from the aft of the ship. We were on our balcony for the most part but when you get the almost 360 view it's pretty breathtaking.
He said for him, for the ship- HAL because they have teen activities and an Arcade BUT he loves the excursions on Oceania- those were pretty mind blowing for him!!!
We did A cruise tour with the same cruise line! But we were only on our ship for three days. The tour was another 9 days. But those tours our worth the money! You'll see A lot more than from the ship.
@@CruiseTipsTV try one that takes you into the Yukon Territory and then onto Fairbanks, Alaska. Then taking the train to Denali. Staying A couple of days and then onto Anchorage by train.
