We're in the Falkland Islands and today we'll see penguins. The tour we purchased was from a private vendor at the end of the dock, where the tender boats dropped us off. The tour lasted about 3 hours and cost about $30 per person, other trips cost more, but we were looking for the simplest tour. We stayed within a mile of the ship the entire day, because if the wind started getting too high, the port would close, and the ship would have to relocate. They would continuously blow the ship's horn should this happen.
The downtown Port Stanley area is an easy walk with plenty of shops and a pub... We had to go and get fish & chips...and a beer or two.

Just to give you some information on the ship names written on the harbour. They are the names of the royal navy Falklands patrol vessel over the years. For example the current one is HMS forth and shell get a place when she leaves. HMS Clyde was the previous one and so on

Thanks for posting this series. I am looking at this exact itinerary this December on Holland America. You have a talent for narration and videography. Would you take the cruise again? Anything you would do differently?

I would highly recommend this itinerary! I still work a full time job, but when I retire we’ll be going back on this itinerary! The scenery in Antarctica exceeded my expectations, and wildlife was everywhere, if you’re looking for it. I can’t think of anything I would change. You’re going to have the cruise of a lifetime! Thanks for watching!

@@LetsJustGoThere Thank you! This is what I am looking for, a bucket list trip to the end of the world, and a new continent, with all the nature to see. It is a little challenging committing to a cruise of this length but it can be done. Thank you for the encouragement!

I enjoyed this video very much and had a lot of laughs about you waddling like a penguin after all the food you eat on the cruise ship! You sure do have a talent for narration and you’re hilarious too. Were the excursions to Volunteer point and other penguin places canceled that day ?
