I live in Aarhus, and I'm so glad you got to see some of the best things here, in just 1 day. There is so much to see, one could easily spend a week here and not run out of things to see! Just walking around the town, like you did on your way to Den Gamle By, is something I do most weekends.

We loved it there! Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful story. I'm now reminiscing on the day we were there.. thank you for watching!

Truly, an amazing video of Aarhus. Unlike you, we were on a cruise excursion and one of our stops was Den Gamble By BUT time did not allow us to explore everything....like the Modern section. However, we were so impressed with what we saw. If one is able to explore Aarhus on their own as you did, I would highly recommend rather than a cruise shore excursion. Great job!

Thank you so much for that feedback. On our first trip anywhere, we try to take in what the area has to offer in itself. Our goal is to experience and explore slowly (on foot, smelling the roses, as they say.. lol) so we can really absorb the experience. We like to imagine what it would be like to live there, so we often just wander around and see what's around the next corner. I appreciate your comment. Thank you for watching!

How bad was the walk to Den Gamble? Planning on going there this summer but didn’t know if should pay cab or walk.

It depends on if you like walking! We didn't find it difficult, and it seemed we had plenty of time to see den gamle by before returning to the cruise ship. If you want to do other things than just that one museum, i'd recommend getting a ride. Thank you for watching!

where do you get the maps your using for the ports you are visiting?

Since these are tourist ship ports, they usually have maps along the port they drop you off at or at the visitors' centers. In this cruise, we attended the shopping shows.. so they gave us a map the night before because it's showcases the shopping areas. In the European cruise we took next, we didn't do any of the shopping shows. We just got our town maps at the port center or walked to the town's visitor's center, as I first listed. Thank you for watching!
