I'll never forget that game - nervevracking. Holland so good, but with some luck we managed to beat one more great team. It was a golden era for Norwegian footbal where the players played with their hearts, and it was a team and not 11 individuals. And not to forget a great coach. Sorry Holland, you are and were great, but it was magic for us to win that WC qualification group ahead of you and England.
But Norway like both Colombia and Bolivia were at the bottom of thier groups ( at the group stage) at FIFA world cup 1994 although the three teams (Nnorway,Colombia and Bolivia) had great results at the qualifications
@@moatazsobhy9746 In WC 1994 Norway's group were The Group of Death. All nations ended with 4 pts. Norway's first international championship. No experiense at all and made every mistake in the book. Norway were too clever between the games. While other nations did rest at the hotel swimmingpool, Norway had tough exercise trying to deal with the extreme heat which Norwegians are not used to. Sweden stays cool, save energy, near the swimming pool. Sweden is more experienced.
@@janbanan7768 Yes, evidently. Italy is the only nation to defeated Norway in WC both in 1938, 1994 and 1998. Italy is our cryptonite 😂 However we did defeat Italy 2-1 and got a draw 1-1 and finished one point short to qualify for Euro 1992 behind sovereign winner USSR and Italy 2nd. We got a new coach after two games in the qualification and were already behind even though the new coach had instant impact. We were 7 minutes away to beat Italy in the retour match in Italy (1-1) and qualify for Euro 1992.
