The "In memory of" at the end was the name of a fan of his that was killed in a motorcycle accident. Upchurch met the guys parents when they came to a concert and gave Ryan their sons helmet that had upchurch written all over it. They came to the concert because they wanted to hear the music that meant so much to their son and helped him out of a very dark place.

If you want a closer look at Upchurch you should go watch when SimbaTV (another RU-vidr was there too can’t remember his name) went to Upchurches crib and stayed with him a few days! Go to SimbaTV channel and search for it. He’s got a few videos from his time staying with him!

I'm a "Holler Girl" from Virginia. Grew up with my Dads family farming tobacco in the holler. So, Church really reasonates with me. Been Fn with him for a few years now. When someone my age (45+)can switch up from straight Country to this.... He's doing something right! He has an amazing voice and gift lyrically. I found Upchurch cuz Im a Jelly Roll fan. Now, I'm bumping em with Struggle and Adam Calhoun and my man Tom McDonald. Independent Artists are the best! They're the real deal. They are opening doors for so many up & coming artists. Thanks for being open minded to listen to music from these artists. You won't get the "feels" you get from them from artists on the radio.

Church still lives in the same county he was raised in. He still hangs with the same buddies that he grew up with, well the real ones, you know people don't like to see people succeed. Church is a real one. He's just him and will not change who he is just to make more money. He has the simple man's voice. You can't help but like him. For me a 55 year old women I love him and can't get enough. I'm so glad No Life Shaq turn me onto him with the whole Scru face beef. I can't get enough. I'm working through his whole catalog. This my favorite song. I can relate to all that its means. Dropping everything cause your friend needs a hand. Giving a dollar if someone needs it or a simple as a shoulder to cry on. It doesn't matter cause your my friend and I got your back. We need more Upchurchs'. In my flip side my 33 yr old daughter doesn't like him it all. He is my go to guy right now. I have not found anyone that has peaked my interest like he has! I am 61 and my boys introduced me to every kind of music. My youngest son turned me on to Upchurch and I love him!! He is very respectful to his Momma and everyone. As long as you treat him with respect I feel that is what you will get in return!! And please listen to his vlogs about the Confederate flag before you jump to conclusions. He is from the south after all. It means a different thing than people try to make it out to be! Upchurch can pull off Rap, country, and rock. Check out his Alice in Chains cover of "Rooster". I like "Bloodshed" and "Everlasting Country". He is an extremely versatile artist and he does draw in an audience that you might not expect to cross genres. Love your reactions!

The best way I can explain his music. Is I grew up in a small town with a population of about 2000. On Saturday night we sat on the tailgate of our Trucks at the local dairy bar with everything from 2 Pac to Garth Brooks and Johnny Cash playing in the back ground. Upchurch comes in right in the middle of that music difference somewhere.

In this song it's a double play on the word "holler". Y'all already picked up on the holler if you need me. A holler is also a valley in the country. He's referring to his friends/neighbors that he has grown up with. The reference is to the people that live in the holler.

"Wow!" 😱 Ryan started his music singing then turned to rap and just said fk it I'll do rock too and covered Alice in Chains. Dude has one of the best voices of his Era. And listen to his vlogs, he has a cool voice but you couldn't tell he could sing this good. I didn't know him for his music til 2017 I think. Adam didn't start back to rapping til after his RU-vid blew up. Lol Most of the guys who work for Ryan are part of the crew this song is about. Ryan got threats and his closest friends were there, ready for anything. in minutes. And his house is deep in the middle of nowhere. He still hangs out with some of his childhood friends.
