Daniel Perez that’s a really lovely comment - it’s great to know the reviews are appreciated! We are currently in Antigua with a whole host of dive computers to try out so make sure you subscribe, and keep your eyes peeled for the reviews in the coming weeks! Hope they are of use to you. All the best 👍🏻

Bought a Zeagle Stiletto because of used price, but I am back to get a back plate and wing. Having a Pro recommend makes a big deal in my decision. Also bought an EON Steel after your Shearwater review stating that your stay with your Suunto. Thanks

Good hear Ken - and still to this day I dive with 2 DC's. A Garmin Mk2i on my wrist and my EON Steel strapped to my camera. It's never let me down!

Thanks. You sold me on it. I was just about to buy a different travel BCD but was unhappy that it didn't have d-rings. This one fits the bill.

Michael Dallas fantastic - glad it helped you out! You’ll love it - it looks great, lightweight and having done 300 or so dives with it now it’s still going strong.

Black Manta Photography do you mind if I ask you a question? I’m thinking about getting this bcd but it will be the first time using a wing style. I heard it’s great while under water but can make the surface (waiting for the boat) more challenging. Have you felt that it has changed or have an opinion on this being an issue with this bcd or other of this style?
@BlackMantaPhotography
@BlackMantaPhotography 4 года назад
Ben Bolin no problem at all Ben. In all honesty you wouldn’t notice the difference. I had the same reservation before myself, but this is my 3rd BCD I’ve owned and by far the best. The streamlined no bells approach is great, comfortable underwater, and I’ve never experienced any issues when surfacing after a dive. It’s always given me great buoyancy on the surface and when this one wears out I’ll buy another!

Black Manta Photography well if you were a sales representative you would have just sold two BCDs. We will be going out next weekend to buy two of these. Thank you so much for your honest truth and quick response.

Ben Bolin absolutely no problem at all Ben - more than happy to help. I always try to give a completely honest review, and where I can do call out the good and that bad in the best way I can. Shame I don’t have a dive shop - I’d have given you a discount for being so nice! 😂 Do let me know how you get on with them once you’ve been in the water! You’ll be amazed at how light the LTS system is!

Watched this great video three times. Just noticed the rubber duck at 3:21! Levity to a serious topic! Thanks!
@BlackMantaPhotography
@BlackMantaPhotography 4 года назад
Hahaha... My rubber duck is more of a lucky charm. I've had it attached to all my BCD's since I started diving. It pretty much fills with water as soon as I enter the water anyway, so it makes zero impact on any weight/lift issues. :)

Hi. What about the crotch support strap? Is there a provision for that? Thanks.
@BlackMantaPhotography
@BlackMantaPhotography 3 года назад
Hi there - no, there isn't a crotch strap on the LTS as it was designed to be a lightweight travel system for recreational diving. You will however find crotch straps on Hollis models such as the HD, HTS and SMS range. Cheers...

Well if I may ask you how much do you weight because it looks like the shape of my body it's like yours and I weight around 180 lb I am 5,8 tall and I was thinking about large but now you make me think about extra large
@BlackMantaPhotography
@BlackMantaPhotography 6 лет назад
No problem. I'm 6' 3" and weigh around 105kg (about 220lbs). My chest size is about 46", so a large frame and find the XL a perfect fit. I'd totally recommend that you try one on before purchasing if you can. Most quality dive shops should stock them! Hope that helps!

In OWC training we performed weight removal and replacement. I am also looking at ripcord weight dump system which obviously cannot replace weight in the water. How important is the task in real life?
@BlackMantaPhotography
@BlackMantaPhotography 4 года назад
Hi Ken - thanks for the question. Weight removal is very important - mainly for dumping weight in an emergency. The LTS system is super lightweight hence why they don't have removal weight pouches like a lot of systems. What they have is the quick release buckle to allow the weights to drop if you need to lose that weight quickly, what that can't do is allow you to add it is you have indeed dumped it. In theory, once you have your correct weight set up there should be little reason to remove and add during a dive - especially from a recreational perspective. Hope that helps to answer...

very helpful video, i'm currently looking to buy a wing bcd but i'm a little worrid about drag while swimming on the surface or staying leveled on the surface, what is your experience with this?
@BlackMantaPhotography
@BlackMantaPhotography 6 лет назад
Nahal Gomel thanks for the comment. Really appreciated. To be honest I had the same reservations switching to wing. I’ve probably done over 100 dives with the Hollis LTS now, and pleased to say surface drag hasn’t been an issue at all. With regards to weighting - I split my weights between the integrated weight pockets and a belt. I split these 60/40 with the weights on the belt being the greater number equally positioned across my lower back. Works perfectly every time!!
@NahalGomel247
@NahalGomel247 6 лет назад
@@BlackMantaPhotography thank you for sharing your experience, I'm thinking about using tank strap pockets to spread the weight
@BlackMantaPhotography
@BlackMantaPhotography 6 лет назад
Nahal Gomel good idea. Just be wary that dumping weights in an emergency is trickier when strapped to the tank.
@NahalGomel247
@NahalGomel247 6 лет назад
@@BlackMantaPhotography off course, thank's for your advice.
@kenmh7357
@kenmh7357 4 года назад
@@BlackMantaPhotography I have seen a diver who dumped 1/4 of her weights (accidentally) at 50 feet and she was heading to the surface. Most BCD's split half of the weight in a "dump system" and half in back. In addition, most BCD's have great lift capacity with air which needs to be "dumped" as it expands on the way to the surface. Hopefully with a safety stop.
