it has a distinct armpit note to the smell 😂I’m glad their clothes were too expensive for me lol I went in there a few times as a kid and it was so dark and smelly and they would only hire like model hot people and they were kinda judgemental it was just not a good time for frumpy little me lmao
everything even if it says is large it isn’t…medium is like extra small, and like large is really a smedium if you want a true medium you have to go for Large!!!! Like can you believe that?! edit: i’m 6’2 sample size! and even THEN! like you have to be tiny
I haven't been inside a Hollister in over 10 years. Now I'm going to have to plan a trip to Hollister with my daughter so I can say "Back in my day..." 🤣
It’s filled with everything but you always have to tell people they should see all people love doing all kinds different stories you never got here yet for you do they think about like it’s your thing like I’m always praying hard working here love
i still swear that Hollister is only for skinny ppl because all my hoodies r medium but my only hollister hoodie that is also medium makes me struggle to put it on because the neck hole is so small 😭
@@taylorobowa4129bruh I wish Abercrombie was designed for skinny people. I’m a guy and my XS Abercrombie shirt has no shoulder room (I have wideish shoulders) and a huge bottom. Like it’s designed for someone with no shoulders and a pot belly ON AN XS. Abercrombie needs to cut skinny people shirts differently from L and XL shirts
@@taylorobowa4129 That's pretty fucked but I do try to take into consideration that brands have a baseline bodytype they create their clothing for, like how some plus sized brands will only make plus sized garments. This is why the same measurements on different brand of jeans fit _wildly_ different. Since "heroin chic" was the look in 2000s, most of the popular brands from the 2000s are made for petite, narrow, and usually pretty tall people, along with added length in the sleeves for the over-the-palm trend or extremely long legs because chunky shoes (which are also back in style.) Basically if you're short and stout you're pretty screwed if you want to buy from a brand like that.
@@taylorobowa4129That was a long time ago when Mike Jeffries was the CEO. He has left the company and in 2017 they switched their branding to be more inclusive with their sizes.
I needed new shorts for a beach trip last summer and hadn’t had any luck anywhere so Hollister was my last ditch effort. The pair I tried was so big I nearly started laughing and was so confused because it was the same size I always used to have to squeeze myself into. Keep in mind I was in college and hadn’t shopped at Hollister since 8th grade. I was like when did they change the sizes 😂
Omg wait is that Fair Oaks Mall?! I was literally just there yesterday and I saw the design of the store it looks exactly the same :o Broooo I might live near u omg-
i still can’t reconcile the fact that they’ve changed because in my brain, i still can’t fit in their jeans because they’re only for size 00000000 people
@@lissyrae2283They got a new CEO in 2017 and now Abercrombie & Fitch (their parent company) and Hollister are both much more inclusive with their products and branding.
Lol I’ve always hated that store. When I was a kid going to the mall was like a thing to do, hot topic, Spencer’s, food court, industrial, Zumies, movie theatres. But I refused to go into that store, you could smell it from so far away, it would over power even the Cinnabon😂
Honestly something creepy my yt just started showing me Hollister videos the day after I bought a Hollister 👖 And I didn't even know it existed until yesterday...
Wait BIG??? Is it possible that Hollister has plus sizes now?? As someone who's been big all my life, I learned from a young age not to even bother with the department stores that had the cute clothes. Legit I could only go to Macy's and be dressed like a grandma
My Hollister near me, it's good lighting, not to bright not to dark. I didn't smell much perfume as well the music was medium loud but I love Hollister
No the size thing actually happened to me I asked if they had an 18 or 20 because they do online and in store they do not and they walked away as soon as I asked and then glared at me
The A&F and Hollister Stores in Europe ir specifically germany are still how they were originally meant to 😌 you know good clubbing music and beachy funks in darkend rooms.
The Hollister nearest to us in the UK is just like the "old one" in this video. I don't know if it was like that 10 years ago, because we moved here 5 years ago, and there wasn't one near us in the last place we lived
I was born 2007 I’m 16 I absolutely love the Hollister hoodies from the 2000s every time I go to a thrift store I always go looking for Hollister logo hoodies I’ve found one so far and now I’m constantly looking on their website for the hoodies with their logo my best friends mom gave her one of her hoodies from Hollister and all I can say is I hope she gives it to me when I lived with her I wore it all the time
😂 my son sprayed some areopostle perfume in line yesterday and it was super embarrassing for me. I choked out and almost vomited in the store. I made it out but it took me a minute to catch my breath back.
Actually Abercrombie was the store for tiny people back then. Yes they are both owned by the same company but hollister fit people who were on the range of between plus size and normal size. Idk what hollister you used to go to but the ones in Illinois and Indiana back in 2004 to 2008 or so sold even XL. Abercrombie was the one who would mark sometjjng a size medium but fit like a size small or XS
YES! I have a hoodie that says medium but CERTAINLY fits like a small/ i would argue even extra small! like huh?!? like make it make sense! the large was a smedium!
my mom wanted me to be popular so bad and forced me into hollister. After numerous attempts, my lungs finally gave out on me, and i collapsed in the store due to a spontaneous asthma attack that nobody noticed me choking on because the music was too loud and the lights were too dim. So there may be a reason or two they changed the lighting.
