I beat 4th pantheon yesterday and while it took me 10 hours (4 hours and 182 deaths to beat pure vessel for the first time) i'll still give my thoughts on it. My advice would be to use deep focus+quick focus+grubsong strats. It seems bad at first but with this strat you can get full heal at the start of almost all bosses which saved my life for P3 and I don't I would have ever beaten P4 without it. Enraged Guardian : it can be hard but it is the first one so there's no problem if you die. If you use sharp shadow it's way easier. Lost Kin : Just equip defender's crest for the first half and it's easy (he staggers a lot so you can heal for 2 with deep focus, quick focus isn't required for first half) No eyes : EASY Traitor Lord : Very dangerous but with practice it is ok. You need to know how far from him you must go to heal. Strength and Sharp Shadow help a ton. White Defender : 2nd easiest just go to the right edge of the arena to heal Bench : For the first half I did Deep Focus, Defender's Crest, Strength, Grub Song and Sharp Shadow. Here I swap DC and S for Quick Focus and Thorns (you can use Dreamwielder for Failed Champion as well) Failed Champion : I disagree with the video here but for me it's by far the hardest (except PV). Practice a lot and remember to heal to full at each stagger. Don't panic ! When you are at the end of this boss it's easy until PV. You can dream nail him even when he is dead so get as much soul as possible for markoth. Markoth : 3rd easiest. When your health get below 4 just focus on avoiding and heal to full on the shield attack. You should have plenty of soul and you don't need any for WK. Watcher Knight(s) : 4th easiest with this chram setup but it can be a bit difficult without quick+deep focus. Do the same thing as in the video and when you get low on health avoid one attack then heal once and repeat. Soul Tyrant : Only the second phase is a bit dangerous. Don't take risks and you should be fine. I lost one run to him because I thought I could face tank the second phase but that only works with Strength. Pure Vessel : It's impossible not to be full life for the beginning if you use this charm setup. It's very hard... (it was about as hard to beat attuned as ascended NKG for me). There are two main srategies : jumping before any attack and sharp shadow through any attack. I used sharp Shadow strats and only hit with the nail on the daggers attack (2 hits). You need 77 hits and he staggers every 12 hits which will give you 2-4 health (second heal depends on the next attack but the worst case scenario is healing 4 and then get hit for 2 so it's worth it). After first stagger he does the focus attack which make him easier as you can heal 0-2 health on each (a bit rng but if you are close to the main circle you have a really low chance to get hit). Void Tendrils indicate he is below 25% but they can be tricky to dodge if you use sharp shadow strats (you need to jump). You can get a lot of damage in on this attack though... The swords coming from the ground are hard at first but remember that one sword will always spawn on him (and then spaced evenly). Try to get at least 25% winrate against PV for P4 and you should be good (for P5 you obviously need more but I actually got him on my fourth try on P4 and the runs themselves took less time than the training against PV). There's a whole page about PV so if you struggle I would recommend reading it. After taking 64 attemps for NKG and getting to the 100th on PV with only little progress I really felt like is was impossible but the feels when you beat him is just so good. Also the fight is pretty fun but I still think they went a bit far with difficulty (I know AR is harder but I don't want to do P5 right now...). Good luck !
For some reason it has always been stressful for me to heal in the midst of a fight, which made me inseparable with Unbreakable Strength and Quick Slash. Granted, I think that might be why I seemed to exceptionally suck at Lost Kin or White Defender, losing like five masks every fight. But you can deal with Failed Champion and Watcher Knights pretty quickly, so that the fight ends before you take a lot of hits. Also with Watcher Knights I found Descending Dark quite helpful when two of them were pelting towards me and I didn't trust myself to dodge them correctly.
@@threethreetwotwotwo3522 Nail builds definitely help a lot with Traitor Lord and Failed Champion, which were the hardest in the pantheon for me. However I couldn't get full health for PV and I was just too bad to beat him only healing one mask per stagger
Just completed the Pantheon of The Knight after the same 10 hours, though i stuck true to the all offensive nail build. I can say that the rewarding sensation of beating PV with nail only is the most i've had in any videogame.

*To all of you who reached Pure Vessel* , you can actually fight him in the Idol Hall Room and do some Practice on him. It really helps getting comfortable when you reach him again.

Reminder that with White Defender that he's actually immune to the Desolate Dive when he's underground, it was the Dung Defender that was vulnerable to it. Lining yourself up next to where he emerges for the abyss shrieks is the best strategy.

I FINALLY DID IT! Woke up, did some stuff then tried it. I practiced Pure Vessel enough that I beat it first try. Thanks for the help! Keep up the good work my man.
For watcher knight, a tactic I use is to pogo of them and when they roll use desolate dive/descending dark then dash in the direction they aren’t rolling. And when on the ground use shade soul if you can or try and heal. It’s a good tactic for either pantheon or watcher spire especially if you don’t have the shade cloak or sharp shadow.
I did that four days ago. Pure Vessel took me more tries than NKG + Radiance. I used totally different tactics for most of bosses including PV but you definetely helped me, the same with 3rd pantheon. finally got my 112% thanks to you
I remembered when I used to hate pure vessel because I wasn’t able to beat them..I’ve beat them twice and can nearly do them consistently now and they’re my favorite boss fight

Beat the Pantheon today. Thanks so much for your videos and livestreams, Relyea. Not because of the tips per se, but because it made me believe that I could beat those pantheons when I saw you struggling with them and eventually beating them. This morning I started with the Pure Vessel for the first time and this evening I did the Pantheon. I used Unbreakable Str, Mark oP, Sharp Sh and Quick Slash Enraged Guardian indeed shouldn't give any trouble, with Quick Slash he goes even down faster Lost Kin can be really tricky. I rarely die to him but often almost die. The most important thing is to clear Balloons whenever you can and to Shadow dash whenever he jumps towards you I believe. No Eyes gives no trouble if you're even only a little bit used to the fight. Just stay away from the sides and you can always safely heal in the middle of the bottom floor. Traitor Lord is pretty much explained the best way you can: just walk underneath when he jumps and hit him as much as you can when he is preparing. With Quick Slash he dies even sooner that way. White Defender is also quicker with Quick Slash I believe. Failed Champion is harder than you know I think, he can be quite a pain. Though the tactic you use is effective and works, again, extremely well with Quick Slash. Markoth can be tricky. You need a little luck with his nails and where he floats sometimes, but when his shield starts spinning, you can always safely heal when he's far enough away from you. I usely try to get him into the bottom corner and tank him with my Quick Slash. He goes down very fast that way, while you end up taking 2 masks of damage most of the time, which is nothing as you'll have plenty of time to heal afterwards and you'll probably have full soul. Watcher Knights are also weak against Quick Slash. If you play the way you do with it, you can usually take out every Watcher Knight before the next one is ready. Soul Tyrant is the only one that doesn't suffer from Quick Slash and I take him down pretty much the way you do. If someone has trouble with his second phase: his dive is wider on the bottom than on the top, so it helps when you jump before you dash. (And yeah... Abyss Shrieking all over the place) Pure Vessel is the hardest (duh). I personally find it very hard to time my jumps to jump over his attacks and I can get more hits in when he shoots daggers when I stay to the ground. I always Shadow Dash through every attack and keep a close eye on when it's charged again. It's true: when he lunges twice it might give you trouble, but if you just walk away from himtill it's loaded and then dash through him, that works most of the time. With my Quick Slash I do have trouble with his parry attack. I don't see in time when he does that and you have to quickly Shadow Dash through him when he reaches out. I usually only jump when he does his spikes. That sometimes gives problems for his Void Tendrils, since you want to jump with that and not dash (which is my reflex), but usually I tank him when I get hit by that attack. I got to the Pure Vessel the first time I really went for this Pantheon and after practicing him/it needed 3 tries to beat it. It's not easy but the 4th pantheon is very possible. (the 5th is something else). Hope someone found this helpful
I'm also tanking his damage but unfortunately didn't do any progress even though fought with him last 4 hours or so. Just he is standing between me and my 112%
@@ferit7418 I only used to tank the void tendril attack. Everything else, and eventually tendrils too, is very avoidable. Though double lunges and/or triple slashes can be tricky.
Hi Relyea, I just want to thank you for the video as it helped me a lot! Even though, in the end I need it a different charm set for the two parts of the Pantheon, but your comments on pure vessels definitively help me to beat him! I was so frustrated with it and yesterday I finally made it! I was really happy! THANK YOU! In case someone else is trying but the charm set is not working for you, I leave you the one that worked for me: This set works for me until the bench, I did not care too much for damage at this point as I will get healed: Unbreakable strength - Mark of Pride - Sharp Shadow - Quick Slash Then for the second part, I do this change: Unbreakable strength - Mark of Pride - Sharp Shadow - Grubsong - Unbreakable Heart (I tried Quick focus instead those 2 last ones but, at least for me, it did not make any difference as I could only heal one point anyway with Pure Vessel, and the extra hit point you get with Unb. Heart makes a big difference).
I used unbreakable strength, mark of pride, quick slash, and fragile heart. I made it all the way to Pure vessel with full HP, which allowed a lot more room for error. Quick slash and unbreakable strength are already good in general, and can be used in almost every charm loadout while still being viable. Mark of pride made pogoing a lot easier. Fragile heart allowed me to be able to tank an extra hit from PV, increasing survivability.

I decided to go for 112% run which was ambitious since I am a fairly casual player (father of two toddlers). Your videos helped me tremendously, they are so easy to watch and you're so informative. This video has really helped me improve my odds at clearing this pantheon! I'm determined to complete it before Silksong comes out. I finally made it to the Pure Vessel yesterday! Unfortunately, like many first encounters against an upgraded boss, it didn't go too well and I was quickly defeated. LOL
@@RelyeaGaming I just beat PV in Godhome for the first time using a crazy charm build! *Strength, Sharp Shadow, Dashmaster, Sprintmaster, Nailmaster, Steady Body & Defender's Crest! I used 0 spells, got hit 3 times and beat him in under 1 minute!!!
Even if this is old video, I really recommend for Pure Vessel with his Dive&Blades attack get above him, give him one-two down nail slashes and then dive down, this grants you huge damage + invincibility frames, and for his soul attack, you could dive as well near him if you have enough time, which once again deals ton of damage and gives you free way to slash him with your nail due to invincibility frames, a lot of new people really underestimates dive, yet it's my most used spell.
For lost kin, when he's down you can just use the nail spin thing at his max and then you just need three hits to down him again and you can kill him really easily like that

man, i did stop playing because i was stuck on pantheon of the knight i still am but now with your tips i am able to reach the pure vessel with full life, the charms you did choose are great to every boss in this pantheon, i was so damn happy when i did get pass where i was stuck at the watcher knight now they are easy to beat, thanks relyea your videos are a light to the hollow knight fans who struggle in any difficult part in the game.
Obviously you’d have to sacrifice a charm notch but for me getting through the lost kin is super easy with the Defender’s Crest, same with the White Defender because he stands there right next to you for probably 10 seconds for the break in the fight and it does so much damage
Practicing in Hall of Gods is a must before facing Pure Vessel! But I enjoyed your tips very much. I've lost a few times tonight to Pure Vessel. Made it all the way to the end of this pantheon only to lose to him after the second stagger. Quite frustrating! Hahaha. Thanks @Relyea, I appreciate your tips all the time. You're my go-to person for advice when I'm stuck on something in Hollow Knight (which, I have to say, I've gotten far better than when I first started playing a year ago). Here are some extra tips: You can shade dash through the list kin when he dashes to dodge it. You can also hit the watcher knights with spells while they are spinning. Don't overthink Markoth, just keep moving.

Using your first couple of tutorials I managed to beat the pantheon of the knight but now I keep dying at the mantis sisters in the pantheon of Hallownest. When you beat it, a tutorial on how you did would be really helpful. So far I’ve been watching your pantheon of Hallownest streams to get better

I dont realy have to anything to say about the bosses but i am gonna share my charm setups I start the pantheon whit shape of Unn quick focus deep focus and soul catcher and switch to strenght mark if pride sharp shadow and quick focus on rest spot. (The build that i switch to is basically what you used for the whole Pantheon but instead of shaman stone i have quick focus because i only realy found shaman stone handy against Markoth and because you can get lot more heals on Pure vessel with quick focus.)
I wish my Pure Vessel fights went that smoothly, I can beat him practice but when it comes to the Pantheon of Hollownest I struggle hard! (Also I feel like he loves spamming the downward nail attacks on me)
I had a similar issue so i went back for more practice in Hall of Gods. I didn't attempt the pantheon again until i was beating PV 9/10 times on attuned and about 40% on ascended. It helped a lot especially because when i went back to attempt the pantheon Soul Tyrant played like a psychopath and left me with only 7 masks of health before PV. Because of all my practice I dominated PV and only got hit once
@@increase9896 Nice! I can beat about 5/10 times but still do very well. It's just when I get to the Pantheon I somehow find a way to make it go south very fast. It also doesn't help my hands shake like a earthquake (which is problematic for a boss that requires pin point precision). I can definitely do it, right now I just have to focus on beating Absolute Radiance (which I have done 0 times do far)
My charm build seems a bit unorthodox. The first half, I use... *Sharp Shadow, Dashmaster, Sprintmaster, Unbreakable Strength and Quickslash... (I love that extra Sharp Shadow damage with Dashmaster, and that extra bit of swiftness you get by adding Sprintmaster and Quickslash allows you to constantly be on the attack!) For the second half, I switch my charms up a bit mainly because of Markoth and the Soul Master... *Sharp Shadow, ( which I've literally never unequipped since I got it) *Dashmaster and *Sprintmaster, ( for the reasons mentioned above) *Shaman Stone, ( instead of unbreakable strength) * Nail Master's Glory, ( to kinda make up for the loss of strength) Steady Body, ( For stability and controlled attacks in dangerous spots.) * Dream Wielder. ( mainly to quickly farm soul from the Watcher Knights in preparation for the Soul Master fight. I make sure to save enough soul to be able to unload 3 Abyss Shrieks after the Desolate Dive rage at the end. I don't think I could beat him without spells... ) *** Luckily, I don't really use any spells against Pure Vessel. (Except for a few Shades Souls when he's healing) I feel like the PV fight is a final test to see who is more agile and skilled with the nail... and honestly, it kinda seems like PV should have focused on his nail arts a bit more! Lol. ( Did the Nail Arts even exist before PV was locked in The Black Egg Temple? I guess we'd have to ask Sly about that... Unless maybe you or Mossbag or Rusty already know the answer. Lol) Either way, Nailmaster's Glory absolutely shines in the fight!!! The quick charge combined with Sharp Shadow allows you to keep constant pressure on PV while doing massive damage after, and sometimes during, every one of his attacks!!! Anyway, I hope this long-winded victory speech is helpful to someone out there!!! As for me, I'm cautiously moving on to the incredibly daunting and seemingly impossible task of trying to complete The Pantheon of Hallownest before Silksong comes out!!! Wish me luck! * I'm considering doing my first-ever live streams as a way to share and document my struggles!!! Hopefully, during the many inevitable failures ahead, optimistic tenacity will prevail, and allow me to learn from the countless crushing defeats ahead of me...
I did it on my fifth try. It was hard, in my first 2 tries I died in Failed Champion (don't ask me, I really don't know why I died there, but I didn't killed him before so I bet he took me by surprise), then on the 3rd try I faced the Pure Vessel. He basically obliterated me, so I practiced it and killed him on first try (in practice mode). On my fourth try he killed me again, "I can't be this bad at the game" I said to me, so on my fifth try I relaxed, and managed to kill it. My heart nearly exploded in that fight.
I Unbreakable Strength, Mark of Pride, Quick Focus, and Unbreakable Health my through it. For someone who plays very clumsily this build saved my life more times then I could count! (Disclaimer: Still working on perfecting Absolute Radiance)
Im having struggle on my other save with the third pantheon. I got it done on my first save by "luck". And my oppinion is that the third one is harder than the fourth accept the pure vessel is pretty tuff. And i don't know why XD
I have some tips, that may or may not, help you with Failed Champion. 1. When he’s staggered , you can jump on his back and pogo off it, to reset the stagger. This allows you to heal in infinite amount and dream-nail him to get soul (just keep in mind that after every heal or dream- nail you pogo of his back again). 2. When he does his frenzy attack, in the middle of the arena, stand in one corner and blast him with three shade-souls (preferred with Shaman-stone), then hit one or two boulders his way to damage him even more. 3. Remember how often he has staggered. If he has staggered twice and now a third time, he will die if you hit him again. So use the time to heal and gather soul. The rest is easily possible with Relias tactics: Dash to the opposite side of the Failed Champion, when he jumps towards you, jump into the air when he uses the shockwave and dodge the boulders during the fight. I hope this was helpful to some of you who are stuck :)
Until pure vessel I agressively stack and finish all of them then pv just destroys me. Is there no charm build where I can finish him fast without trying to dodge all the attacks of him?
@@RelyeaGaming Also, couldn't help but notice that you re-attempted the pure vessel at the end, though that time with quick slash rather than shaman stone. As that only works for that fight exclusively, the pure vessel is harder when beating him in the context of the whole run, as there is no quick-slash.

I finally beat it!!! Fought very patiently against Soul master and made it to Pure vessel with 8 masks and no soul left!! Finished the fight with 3 masks left thanks to a timely safety heal!!!
When the Pure Vessel starts focusing those soul orbs, I like to use up are my shade souls to do tons of damage. My build for attuned and ascended is unbreakable heart, unbreakable strength, mark of pride, and quick slash. My radiant build is shaman stone, mark of pride, quick slash, and unbreakable heart. For the memes on ascended, it put on fury of the fallen and switch mark of pride with longnail to demolish them at one health the entire time. Just some things from my playthrough. I have beaten all bosses (except Radiance) on Radiant as of now.

Thank you so much this helped me beat it! i’d recommend using mark of pride, unbreakable heart, quick slash, and unbreakable strength then. when you beat the white defender I switch strength with quick focus so when you get to pure vessel you can heal twice when it’s staggered. also you can’t make the white defender pop out of the ground with desolate dive or descending dark.
Finally beat this. Setup was Unbreakable Strength, Quick Slash, Quick Focus and Long Nail. Used QF over Mark of Pride as those extra heals between staggering was invaluable.
Finally made it all the way to pure vessel today!! Soul tyrant is giving me a hard time but I finally got him. Time to grind pure vessel, hope I can finish p4 someday!! :)

Anyone new watching this if you pair mark of pride, unbreakable strength, long nail, and stead body you can hit the PV in the second colum between the rising nails! It gets you a lot of damadge if your impatient. That’s where most of your attacks can actually come from and just dodge everyrhing else. I reccomend always jumping and moving after he shoots his nails as well he may do that triple attack thing. You can pogo off him there
I personally got this throw after some practice vs pure vessel. In the first half I used quick slash, shaman stone, soul catcher and fragile strength. Second half used mark of pride, carefree melody, fragile health and fragile strength
1 Tip For Pure Vessel (especially when using Shaman Stone): You will most likely always have more soul than you can use during this fight because there are so few opportunities to heal and when you can you have only a very brief amount of time. Because of this I HIGHLY recommend firing at least 2 vengeful spirits at him whenever he is doing his focus attack and you are just standing there waiting. Get out of the way of the big bubble of course, and then fire away! With shaman stone, this does TONS of damage, especially if you get lucky and get a multiple hit on each fireball. This ends the fight super quickly, and like I said, you will more than likely have no other use for all that soul anyway.
Already beat this with bindings but still watching to see if I can catch some tips Edit: didn't know about the spikes in the pure vessel fight. This was a huge reason of my fails in the pantheon so thanks a lot for that!
i would recommend to use quick slash instead of mark of pride cause whenever bosses are idle you can get tons a damage real quick like with the watcher knights you dash past them and thwack them with your nail when there slashing forwards or when enraged guardian when he's charging his blast attack
