I decided to explain this video to my mom, who likes baking and taught me how to bake. As I told her self rising flour she simply nodded, he gained a disappointed look at not measuring. But as I said that he then got baking soda, confusion. “Wait, but it was self rising flour-” I know mama but he does not care As I explain his logic of how much butter he need she told me how much that would be (a stick per cup) And then I made the motion of him scooping out the butter with his hand. The light is now fading from her eyes. Mysta has broken her. She has enough strength to ask “wait isn’t it supposed to be melted?” Yes but it was but Mysta does not care for instructions. More disappointment at not measuring the sugar. And then explaining that Mysta mixed said sugar and butter. With a *Fabric* glove. I see every surviving hope dashed in that moment. Nothing much happened until the greasing of the baking my sheet. She did explain that yes, some recipes call for greasing the sheet but some don’t from the amount of butter in the batter. Her eyes slowly close with a growing frown on her face as I tell Mysta’s method of butter transfer. And with that the major points of what I put my mother through are finished. How ever it is important to note that she did say that if Mysta had put any more salt he may have actually ruin the cookie. Having to much rising agent can make it taste metallic, and salt only adds to that. So this goes to show. Mysta survives by either fricking Pure Luck or some higher power is just constantly watching over him to make sure doesn’t kill himself.
The Kyo cooking rice with dish soup was an intentional prank/joke that was talked about previously before said stream but it still haunts me in my dreams as I hear my dad with his belt in hand.

Honestly it wasn't that bad until he added the water. The cookies would've looked pretty normal, but with the water added, it made the dough more like bread dough and less like cookie dough.

I bake multiple time and I don't think him using self rising flour the biggest mistake he done, imo, not using proper measures and not beat the wet ingredients until fluffy was his biggest mistake :)

I kid you not I paused in the middle of sifting flour to stare at my screen in what I can only assume to be a mix of horror, disgust, and shock. Chat telling him to butter the pan is just… you really shouldn’t butter your pan when making cookies unless a recipe specifically calls for it. In the recipe it clearly stated that he should use an *ungreased* pan. His cookies turned out well but I really hope chat stops giving unsolicited advice when it comes to cooking and/or baking because in reality they are not giving that great of advice.
Oh my god chat really did him dirty by telling him to butter when they should have listened to the recipie themselves lmao. It is very common to not butter baking trays and sheets.
hold on bc somebody told him to butter the baking sheet but while he was reading out the steps it LITERALLY SAYS "onto ungreased sheet, drop cookie dough", the cookies he made already had enough fat in them and adding more makes the cookies spread too much? ideally parchment paper should've been used, shame on chat! /lh
The cookies grew upwards because he used baking powder and self-rising flour, too much fluff powder in the mixture (Speaking from experience, it has happened to me too lol)
