Looks like a good unit and affordable. I didn’t research much and bought the Rode wireless II. It’s fine and I’ve had no trouble with it but was more expensive than I should have spent. Great job and good info!

Im using that on my motovlogs.get a trs -type c cable connect to the transmitter then to the trs mic lav. Either sony or purple pnda with dead cat ,wrks perfectly.

The sound seems good for interviewer and vlogging videos, definitely not a motovlogging mic. That interview answer certainly didn’t feel forced 😉😂 Looks a good bit of kit all in all. Good video mate, hope you’re well 🤘

Interesting about vlogging. That’s exactly why I watched this as a biker, to see if anyone had tried it. I’m currently using the trusty old RØDE lav mic wired into my go pro and the sound is pretty much spot on. Did you wire your Purple Panda into one of the transmitters? I’d be interested to see your set up for this.

These don't allow external mics unfortunately. I have not visited this idea since, maybe I should. Thanks for watching

@Dan_TheMedic I'm happy with the current setup, the Holly land make convenient use for pieces on camera and voice overs. To be fair setting up wireless MICs in the helmet is a pain

Other vloggers have gone for the Rode model. I've not felt the need as most of my stuff is in helmet m I should have used one for my bike washing video though. I should have used my external recorder... Good review

Very good video Tom, as you yourself have taught us for motovlog it is not worth it because a lot of air enters. In your opinion, what other options are there to do the same? I ask because none of that size has a jack connector, so you can connect a lavalier to it. My idea is to put it inside the helmet but since it does not have a lavalier, nothing is understood. Thank you very much in advance and keep it up.

Hey, are these good for picking up engine sound if they are insulated from the wind? I plan on putting a transmitter in my back pocket when if I get the mic.

Possibly but as you see from the video it does pickup alot of interference when in the helmet
