Social media is powered by AI algorithms that learn from you what your triggers are, so it feeds you that more just to get clicks. We are no longer the programmers, but the programmed. People are getting lost in online gaming, spending hours for digital rewards that have no effect on the physical world that is decaying around us. And I have to say unplugging myself has had some amazing effects. Mainly, all the hatred that I felt inundated with has practically vanished. Blacks and whites are actually getting along. I still hear racist type stuff, but not directed at me. Other day went out to eat and heard black dude at next table talking about him and white don't get along. Made me more sad for him than anything. Never know who might save his life one day. But that's another conversation. Also in unplugging I feel like my brain actually is sharpening up again as I rely more on the physical world to take in information rather than apps on the phone.
