Take a front seat ride on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Orlando! What is your favorite song to listen to while riding? Offride footage shot by Theme Park Review Onride footage provided by Universal Orlando
@@jaywidow9266 U don’t have headphones on the ride u probably didn’t get on the ride because the headphones fall off because of the speed and the loop on it so u just got exposed because there is actually speakers on the ride to listen to music and u have a little screen on the seat you’re on to pick music and listen to it on the SPEAKER not headphones and I at least was on the ride
for anyone who is having second thoughts about going on this, it’s really fun. before this i didn’t like huge rollercoasters but it was definitely worth it.
@@gamerflmisabadyoutuber7808 Bro I was 9 when I rode it in 2011, it is scary but sure you will be fine. 110% worth it, it transformed me into a huge coaster enthusiast (im almost 20 rn)
Dude I’m terrified of rollercoasters but I don’t want to be the only weenie not to go on it. Is the drop really that bad? It’s the going straight up in the air that has me worried.
The block brakes are there for a reason, though. This coaster runs a lot of trains on it for maximum throughput. So the blocks are there to make sure that the trains are in synch and don't crash with each other. Also, since this coaster let's you pick your own music, the blocks also increase the time you get to listen to the song you picked, as well as allowing the audio to synch with the entire ride.
Anyone else HATE the feeling in the beginning when it’s going 90 degrees straight up? It always feels like I’m about to fall backwards out of my seat. The rest of the ride though... so awesome LOL 😂
Nothing compares to the actual feeling of the air in your face and your body flying off of the seat while being upside down and falling, it’s terrifying but so incredible.
This was one of the rides that I was terrified of. It's still the biggest coaster I've ever been on. I remember standing in line and just telling myself to breathe. We got strapped in and started the ascent. I was legit thinking "What the hell did I just do?" I chose Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue and I could not have chosen better. I swear once it started, it's like all my fears went away and I just thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
>vertical lift hill >shallower drop than many CCIs honestly I feel like the vertical lift hill and non-inverting loop hype up this ride far more than what it can deliver, so that's probably why so many people are afraid of it
I just experienced this ride for the first time on Sunday and had to watch it virtually. I swear there was a moment about halfway that I wanted to pass out while on it because it was intense for a bit there!! Overall it's a great coaster, coming from someone that hates the feeling of drops!
This was the first “big” ride I had and OH BOY, I was a nervous wreck I came to Orlando on a vacation and knew I’d never get the chance to tell the story if I did not go on this ride, so I yoloed and hopped on. I liked the music soundtrack choices, but man, this ride, even without any loops/flips, made me scream! My neck hurt slightly afterwards from this but 6 years later, I’m looking forward to coming back and trying this again!
the guy singing along with the song, i need him to sit next to me when i’m on rides like this, i truly am terrified of rides like these and even get anxious watching them. but hearing him sing along and going “wooo!” calmed me down somehow, great shot of the ride!
Theres a trick my mom taught me that saved me and also my best friend who didnt like that feeling. Right when you're reaching the pinnacle of the hill and you're about to do the first drop, close your eyes and EXHALE. That gets rid of that plummeting feeling in your stomach. It may seem counterintuitive but once I did that as a kid, I could ride anything. Practice it on smaller coasters and work your way up 😊
the thing is for me theres too much pressure and its like your organs and your body are falling and your soul is escaping its the most thrilling shit ever
Same! For years people thought i was just scared of rollercoasters, which was annoying because I love the thrills of rollercoasters but i just don’t like that sensation i get when i drop down. I just kills the fun for me. Good thing is, i mustered up the courage to ride this, and I actually enjoyed it. I could tolerate the feeling i get. But I’m also trying to get my body used to the feeling by going on disney rides like splash mountain, expedition everest, and tower of terror.
I loved this coaster! But it would be perfect if it was more smooth! Like velocicoaster or hulk. Also I was worried about my neck a lot during the ride. I think they need to update it to make it smoother
Hulk is indeed very smooth! I rode it 2 times straight after eachother and still felt completely fine and not sick at all. Rode it 3 times in less than an hour
Just rode it last night and can confirm it still beats you around a lot. If the ride was smooth or even a padded-ish headrest it would be a flawless ride.
I went on this when I was eight, and I closed my eyes and whispered to myself, "I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE" I was so focused on that that I didn't even realize that I went in a loop ;-;
Well I wouldn't go on this ride, No way, On the ground Rides is the right ones for me, also going to universal studios is on my bucket list along with Walt Disney World, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios, When the Pandemic is over and everything is Safe, also I hope that Universal Studios Orlando would have Nintendo World Opening, and It'll have something to do with Pokemon, Like Pokemon Related Restaurants, Stores, Rides, also maybe some Meet and Greets with Pokemon Characters too, Like, Pikachu, Meowth, Lucario, Cinderace, Mew, Mewtwo, Zarude, Etc. etc.
@@kathymoriarty1441 I may be wrong but sadly I think Super Nintendo world is themed specifically to Mario... I would love to see Pokémon there as well, or maybe some of their other popular series such as Zelda, Animal crossing, etc
@Sarah Hernandez I hated it but once I got off it was okay. I definitely wouldn’t go again. The only reason I went on this ride is because my school principle paid for my trip there and I couldn’t waste the money on not going on. So I guess you should go in the ride if you want to have this one lifetime of an experience. Yolo
I got on this for the first time today and not gonna lie, it’s scaring when going up since it’s so straight and tall and you feel like you’re gonna fall back, and it teases you when you’re about the drop the first time by going slow, which makes you feel more scared LOL. But I loved this ride more than I thought I would. It has an amazing view at night as well! It’s the rollercoaster that stands out the best in Orlando
Sorry, not even close to the best in Orlando. It’s an icon for sure, but there is a better coaster in the same park (mummy), and three world class coasters next door. This one just doesn’t compete unfortunately. Still an awesome ride.
The scariest part of this ride is that they make you take everything (and I mean everything) out of your packets and go through a metal detector. Like wtf? Am I going to prison or something?
First drop is steep...no matter what anyone says...it was never ending. This was the last roller coaster I ever got on. I developed a phobia after this...just being honest.
I rode this ride when I went to Universal with my family over Thanksgiving break. I was super excited to ride this ride but slightly nervous. I didnt know what song to pick so I hit a random one, then going straight up i felt like I was going to fall out and all I hear playing is "I will survive! I will survive!" The whole time lol 😂 was a vibe tho
I went on this for the first time today and it was awesome! I was really nervous about going on it for a while and I finally did it today and oh man it was fun. Honestly the scariest part is going up at a 90° angle, knowing you will drop when you get to the top. The drop didn’t bother me that much and listening to “Immigrant Song” was sick. Don’t build this ride up into your mind that much, I did and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be.
Great Ride! Personally, I think the best configuration of a roller coaster train is two smaller cars. First, it gives you a faster ride because there is no extra drag from lots of cars, but also because everyone on a two car train gets basically the same experience. Long trains mean the front and the back are getting completely different experiences at different times. Maybe that's a good thing for some enthusiasts, but fir me, I want a faster ride with less interruption while the back of the train catches up. I also think they can get lined moving faster and run more trains an hour as apposed to loading and unloading long trains, (some with 30+ riders at a time)
Yes! I completely agree. I rode the Velocicoaster this weekend for the first time, twice i might add. First time on it got the third row. Second time riding it, got the almost to last row. And let me tell you the drop on the velocicoaster was WAY worse in the back than it was towards the front. Same goes with Hagrid's Motorbike Ride.
this was the second roller coaster i had ever been on and it was so brutal💀 i’m one of those people who stay silent and squint their eyes the whole time lol😭
I went on this ride today and I was super nervous and excited at the same time!! Needless to say I loved this ride and I will definitely go on this ride again!!!!
My favorite song to listen to on this ride is Kickstart My Heart. It fits the feeling of this coaster so well. I’m just rocking out the whole time, having a blast.
so, i was never a big rollercoaster person until i went on the rides here. i was always scared of them and never went on them. i got a trip to universal from my parents as a christmas gift, we went last month. the first rollercoaster i went on was the velocicoaster. yep, i threw myself into the deep end immediately. i went on the hulk and loved it, but i was wary about this one. i went on it with my dad anyway. it was so much fun! the climb was full of adrenaline and the drop(s) was amazing and i chose the song Stronger by Kanye West and had the time of my life.
Hey, I was just there on Monday. And two other times last week. Living in Orlando is great. Also, Kickstart My Heart is still my favorite song on this ride.
Tell me why It looks so much scarier on camera than real life lol I love this ride it’s so much freaking fun trust me it looks so much scarier from out of the park just looking at it then being in the ride lol!!!!
I went to the studios last week and rode this twice I listened to free bird the first time and the climb up as the guitar solo started was incredible made the ride that much better
After 3 years, I finally got to ride this last week 😁😁😁 I was really scared of the lift hill at first, but I had confidence and walked up to the ride anyway thinking there was no turning back. The first Drop didn’t feel scary to me afterwards, but then again, I ride a lot of coasters 🤣🤣🤣 The 2nd time I rode it, I didn’t even scream or anything I just remained silent like professional recorders! But anyways, if you’re having second thoughts on doing this, I say do it. The first drop feels scary at first, but the rest is super fun! 😄😄😄
@@ludmilafascia7956 Inverting drops aren’t really intense, this drop has a smaller angle than almost every other coaster in Florida, and velocicoaster just has a top hat, not a drop
I remember when this was being built as a kid. Im 23 now but I think this was one of the first coasters of that design to be built at the time. When they made this coaster it definitely became more popular.
This has got to be one of the top 5 roller costers. Especially when it can last that long. It did look fun. Of course, it's easy to say just watching this on my phone. Pff.. you know..
I went on this ride a couple years ago, and I was just tall enough (Meaning if my hairline was any shorter I would have been too short no cap). Halfway through the line (I was with my cousin) I was starting to get nervous and thought about turning back around, but nope. We went on and it was the *best.* We went on like 1 or 2 more times.
the best designed roller coaster at all the Universal Parks! Whoever designed this ride - well they were Creative Genius's. I hope Universal Creative kept these designers.
I literally just went on this and so fun! I was convinced to go two times and this is like maybe my sixth roller coaster because I used to be terrified! So fun and I definitely recommend, both times we were at the front lol
i absolutely love this ride. mainly because when I went to Orlando it was hurricane season, therefore the parks were EM PTY by the time the hurricane was forecasted to be days away. Hence hen we went to go in line for this ride, we expected a long wait, well we guessed wrong because there was no one there. We got to the station and at first it was scary, but thanks to the Daft Punk song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" I had a blast. Afterwards my brother went, "are you okay because when we were going up you looked absolutely terrified", but I was having the time of my life. And after he made sure I was okay, we took 100% advantage that there was literally no one there except for the workers and got on the ride like 6 times and more, no joke. After that sadly I've become a bit desensitized with roller coasters or water slides lmao, nothing could live up to this roller coaster. Like I literally went to the Hulk roller coaster a day later and was like "meh mid" LOLL. I love it
I would love to agree with you but I'm gonna have to give it to velocicoaster or the mummy ride because this coaster has some serious issues with consistency, I mean the entire first block section is so cartoonishly out of place that many people fear this ride specifically because of that non-inverting loop
i remember going on this ride a few years back and i literally passed out lol. i think the way the ride starts is so much suspense that my eyes were closed the entire time haha, but the rest of ride was so much fun!
