The ending after the closing credits was even more classic. Charlie gave the stagehands at CBS TV City more job security than they can ever dream of. They had task of cleaning up after this classic win.
Charlie won on day 3 as champion, the regular $4,000, the $4,321 Secret Square Stash & the $25K cash in the safe, making it $33,321 today. So altogether, Charlie has a three-day total of $78,371. Good jod for him! 👍👍
I remember Charlie had a unsuccessful attempt on opening the $25K cash safe on day 2 yesterday, so one key was removed for free on his 3rd day as champion.

This was clearly from an episode shown during the last two seasons, when Henry "The Fonz" Winkler and Michael Levitt took over as the show's executive producers.
Yup. Whoopi Goldberg was so greedy an demanded more money. She up and quit after they turned her down saying she needed to cool down. I liked Hollywood Squares post Whoopi era better.
@@canadianscratcher7834 Question: what's wrong with that? Come to think of it, what's wrong with women in general asking for more money than their male counterparts? Whoopi was a great center square and it was sad when she left. It made Hollywood Squares a little bit less fun without her. Just my two cents.
Question, assuming you and him do still keep in touch, and that he had not passed away a few days before this was uploaded and this wasn't uploaded because of that, do you know whether the producers actually ever told him what he would have played for in the bonus round on day five, had he managed to win the trip the first time he tried to win it? I ask because he would have been 4 out of 4 in the bonus round up to that point, and also because nobody ever did reach it during the 5th season so therefore viewers never found out, BUT i assume that contestants were probably told what the prizes were way before, (
Rumor has it that if Charlie (or any contestant) had gotten to the bonus round all five times without a loss, the prizes would have been Car, $25,000 cash, around the world trip ($30,000 approx), $50,000 cash, $100.000 cash. Charlie didn't win the $25,000 in his first try. Charlie won the cash in his third day, then the trip and his final appearance he played for $50,000 cash but lost.
