Thanks for your comment Sergio! The symphonies of Vagn Holmboe are every bit as wonderful as those of Danish compatriot Carl Nielsen. I don't have any more of them on LP, but some time I ago I bought a download of the complete set issued by BIS, with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra under Owain Arwel Hughes. Tremendous music with excellent recordings. Well worth seeking out!
Wunderschöne und spannende Interpretation dieser nordischen und perfekt komponierten Sinfonie mit farbenreichen doch perfekt entsprechenden Tönen aller Instrumente. Der dritte Satz klingt besonders schön und echt mysteriös. Im Kontrast klingt der letzte Satz echt lebhaft und auch leidenschaftlich. Der intelligente und geniale Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete Orchester im rhythmischen Tempo und mit dramatischer Dynamik. Wahrlich hörenswert!
