Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Holme Moss Hill Climb - 8th August 2020.
"One of the unique selling points of the Holme Moss Hill Climb was its almost uniform gradient. From the slight downhill stretch off the starting line, the climb, as shown in this Greenwoods sponsored centre-spread, progressed on a virtually uninterrupted slope right to the conclusion of the one and a quarter-mile timed course. The “Devil’s Elbow” 90-degree right-hand bend was already, as can be seen, no longer used by the road over the hill to Glossop, but still featured as part of the climb. Sadly, we will not be using it, as it has never been “adopted” and thus is untarmacked." - holmemoss100.u...
