Thank you for posting this video. Tauranga Hospital in New Zealand is where this laser surgery has been developed, through a team of specialists. As a resident of Tauranga, it is a proud moment to see it benefitting so many men around the world. And thanks go to the surgeons who are dedicating their skills to the method. 👍😎🇳🇿✨

I had HoLEP two weeks ago at University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor. I looked at all the other options including Greenlight, ReZume, Urolift, and Artery embolization. Everything in this video clip is true. I'm blessed to have been able to receive this procedure.

I had the HoLEP procedure 16 wks ago. While the operation was successful healing takes awhile. Three days in the hospital. Four weeks of bladder spasms and an additional four weeks of urgency. My symptoms cleared after 12 weeks. I have retrograde ejaculation. No big deal. All the tissue is gone. One benefit is that any precancerous tissue can be captured and tested. I don’t regret the decision.

I've heard from multiple sources, that there is an ejaculation preservation HOLEP. Basically they leave tissue untouched 1-2 cm from the verumontanum, area where your ejaculation ducts are located. The procedure has also been successful with TURP.

I've had two sessions of Urolift pins over the past 8 years or so. Now bladder / prostate / urethrae "locked up" while under sedation for a hernia repair, couldn't pee, now stuck with Foley bag. Probably have at least 10 pins in my prostate. How would this complicate this procedure?

Laser/cutting/staples of the prostate seems to be a no go from my research. Aquablation appears to be less 'aggressive' might be worth a look

@@sirus312 Yes, have studied all the popular techniques. 'TURP', the oldest method just cuts away the inner tract of the prostate, leaves most of it there which can then grow back, and leaves a LOT of bleeding so must wear the Foley for about 10 days for some of that to heal. Laser vaporizes the tissue (along with my pins and strings) all the way to the "skin" of the prostate, cauterizing 99% of the bleeding, and I think no Foley. The Aquablation has no heat, erases the tissue, but I wonder what is done for the bleeding? 2nd step to cauterize? Also only center for that near me is about 60 miles away.
