I’m just finishing reading this book. I found out about it from a church bulletin a few months ago. It was a book of the month being discussed by the book club. The book has expanded my knowledge about the Holocaust. It was interesting for me to see the author talking about it in this video. Czesław Miłosz once said something to the effect that Lithuanians will need to face up to this dark chapter in their history. Having read this book now, I have a better idea as to what he meant.
