A true story of survival. This woman escaped death so many times it’s almost unbelievable. I loved hearing her story. It was amazing! I hate to say I have favorites when listening to such horrible things being told but I really enjoyed listening to her. She has probably passed by now but I would’ve loved to have met her.

What a precious woman this is. All these survivors. There's a spark of something special in each and every one of them. It's a kind of grace my generation doesn't have or often encounter. I homeschool my daughter and these videos are officially going to be a part of our history lessons. I want her know these stories. I want her to witness these incredible human beings tell their stories. We will remember.

The Germans have denazified themselves thoroughly and never forget what they did. If only more western countries admitted to what they did and felt shame about reaping the rewards. And i'm sure in a few decades, the future generations in Israel may look back on the treatment of Palestinians. The cycle of human suffering and oppression is never ending.

Look at the grace and courage of this woman. When weak people of my generation and subsequent ones talk about having PTSD I shake my head. They know nothing of privation, loss and trauma. My father was a WW2 veteran and my mother lived through losing a lot of family members as the war swept across their land. Nothing that I have experienced - good or bad - is anything compared to what Mary Natan has experienced and look at her - a survivor. Strong,

Denying real trauma that people have experienced does nothing to support her story, and actually devalues it. Shame on you.

“What does a Jewish doctor know?” Well, we are the gold standard in medicine, along with the Indian doctors. So… medicine? We tend to try to excel in medicine. This is a weird meme, but it’s based upon years of Jewish doctors proving themselves. The idea that anyone would be weirded out by a Jewish doctor is totally alien to me. And not just because I am Jewish. The trope is well established. We tend to excel in medicine. This level of antisemitism is really scary to hear. That statement struck a chord with me.
