Huge props to IRyS for immediately resuscitating FBK iinchou. IRyS was dedicated to doing her profession as medic while some of the other medics were still absorbed on what will happen next.
Yeah I agree. Black Lagoon type stuff. Even how she described the meta of it with gaining that reflex from the robberies plays into that kind of narrative very well.
personally I love kanata shot first that early. it's just so unexpected it's hilarious. it also made fubuki character more comical and pitiable. I laugh so hard when fubuki get revived then tried to kill korone again but got beaten up again by korone. story wise, it understandable when mio finally chose the persistent fubuki instead of the cheating korone.
There was never a "script". Fubuki said in her reflection stream she was just going to stab Korone and just improv from there. Whoever said she shot too quick was speaking in character (I think it was Fubuki but I need to check). Chat was telling her this. But I hope with more rp experience, she'll come to the realise herself that she played her part perfectly in giving us one of the best stories from Holo rp.
my head canon is fubuki was indeed took a shot to the head but the mask somehow in some way slow down the bullet so it's not a lethal shot. At the end of the day people need to get a bit more creative and not getting too heated because it's not reality, roleplaying is all about flexibility both from the actors and the audiences
tbf, it's still a nice twist to the story. Audiences expected Fubuki to stab Korone, Korone dies and so on, but instead Kanata headshot provides the twist and Fubuki still revived anyway, and had another shot (or stab I guess)
I also loved the dialogue before the headshot . Fubuki : "Don't you think it's a sad excuse for the world, to have such rotten people being happy?" Kanata: "In that place, everyone can be happy," Fubuki : Dont know where we are? This is Los Santos! Only after that, Fubuki dramatically showed her knife, which was repelled by a quick shot from Kanata. It was a perfect setup for the guardian angel to protect the house of god and secure a marriage.
@@hibatyolian2967subaru said on her latest stream that they got together to eat and the roleplay voices would sometimes come out. Like Mio being a mama or FBK talking like a fox.
The shot was dramatic, surprising, and well-timed as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes its good to fall into dramatic tropes, but it's also good to break them. They couldn't have asked for better to move the family drama along.
As someone who primarily watches kanata's POV from the family drama, I think she's selling herself short here. The daughter has always been trying to mend the family back together, but always helpless and suffered the most from the events that transpired (like being the only casualty from the amusement park confrontation with lui). when the daughter shot the fox in the final day it was her finally taking action and completing her arc. if the wedding event doesn't feel satisfying, that's because you're only watching fubuki or korone's POV all this time.
Yeah, it was the perfect ending really. It really drove home that the arc wasn't any single holomen's story, it was the combination of each and everybody's story. It might have revolved around FubuMioKorone, but Kanata was just as much a MC here. Also love that AZKi decided to go after Korone in the last days, adding the perfect spice to this.
What do you mean Korone was unfazed by Azki think she even hooked up with Okayu afterwards Mio was the true cheater so its for the best she ended up with that degenerate fox gambler
Though she does have a point in that she did act a little too quick, she couldn't have known that Fubuki was also just improvising, but it still ended up being one of the most entertaining moments in Holo GTA
I for one, fully support the daughter's actions and I'm very glad how she sticked with Papa until the end when both decided to stay true to their characters and hit the strip club again lol. Kanata's role as the daughter was one of the best points that made the Pan family plot line work so well.
I understand her concerns and now I am definitely curious how it would've played out without Kanata's interference, but at the same time, she brought about an alternative peak moment with that headshot. Honestly, when that happened, I started questioning whether the whole thing was actually fully improvised, which just goes to show how well they played their roles. Hearing everyone's thoughts as they played their roles definitely eliminates my doubts. Kanata took a risk by taking things into her own hands but successfully stirred the story into a perfectly valid direction and caused one of the most iconic moments in one of the most iconic scenes of the whole event.
Some people think Katana shoot too early and it's a bad move for the story, but in the end, this is the BEST move, I will tell you why. 1. It builds up the story about the strongest papa that never die or lose to anyone till the end 2. It prevented Fubuki to be the completely bad guy (a murderer in story) which; 3. Made the secret ending where Mio ended up with Fubuki became perfect (Fubuki is the true good guy at the end, thanks to Kanata for stopping him from committing an irrevocable crime.)
Neither Fubuki or Korone were ever true good or bad guys. Even the grenade at the end, if you catch the right clip, it was Koyori's grenade that sent Mio flying, not Korone. Though its funnier this way when Korone and Mio both thought it was Korone.
and fubuki herself said - i think theres a translated youtube clip of fubuki watching the wedding again - that it was good for her character she was stopped without being able to murder at the wedding, that it could imply her character had last minute doubt of actually using the knife.
as an audience member you can either embrace the chaos that comes from truly (largely) unscripted roleplay and get treated to the series of amazing coincidences and a splendid demonstration of the improvisonational acting skills of the talents. Or you can get calculated, well-acted out scenes that fall in line with how you would expect a scripted television drama to go. I was watching Fubuki's POV at the time so even I was a bit shocked and a little disappointed by how quickly she was shot, but I think they played it off well and the turn of events ended up being a lot more believable than how it might've gone othewise. A lot more in line with Fubuki's character as well. So, yes, Kanata was a little quick on the draw but the genuine shock all of us felt in the audience when fubuki was shot was more valuable at the end of the day I think.
After that red flag chat with Subaru at the end of day 6, I think everyone expected Subaru to be the one who stop Fubuki. Who knows what the actual 'script' ending is, but I'll take this actual ending since it ties up the story quite nicely
In another clip stream there was a joke made about one of the holomem, in GTA, losing their parents and becoming Batman. I joked it should be Kanata. Then this happened and I could not stop laughing. Yes, I understand it likely messed up the actual scene, and that scene might have been more dramatic, but the image of the protective daughter quick drawing and shooting like, "NOONE INTERRUPTS THIS MARRAGE!" was just too awesome. I must have laughed for a solid minute. Fantastic.
I mean, Mio did die in the explosion afterwards, so that might have turned her into Batwoman anyway, seeing a loving mother get blown up in front of you. I could see a vigi turnout on that end. lol
People have to understand this is all unscripted so they have no idea what the other players are doing, so you get what you get and just go with the flow.
I think Kanata did everything right from the point of view as a role-player and a content creator. She played the role of the daughter really well and I think taking the shot was right the move as the daughter. In the end. the comments I saw about that were more impressed about that clean headshot than mad about it. Yes, that blocked FKB's idea a bit but it fits well into the narrative. I think it was more of a mistake to revive director on the spot without handcuffing him and giving him a second chance to stab. BUT it doesn't matter anyways, it was a lot of fun and that is the most important thing. I liked it that nobody took things too serious, that it wasn't about winning, it was about having fun and a good story. In that they ALL succeeded. Every story, small or big, was fun to watch. I really hope we get a season of HoloGTA.
gotta admit, i thought "iinchou hasn't done anything yet!" when she got brained, but it was salvaged because she got revived by irys, then got beaten up by korone anyway which turned out pretty funny. パパ強い! personally, there was a worse situation where the plotline got cut even before it started during the final union heist; laplus planned to confront the gang alone because she wanted to propose to towa, but walked past polka, who hid her name and was in civilian clothing so even though laplus saw her, she ignored her. however polka was actually part of the gang just for this heist, so she shot laplus in the back before laplus realized what was happening. it felt really unfair because she wasn't wearing gang colors like the other conscripted members, lui and azki, so laplus didn't even know she was a threat. it was like if the moment fubuki burst in the church with the 'chotto matta!!!!' she immediately got blasted with an RPG and immediately got dragged to jail without her giving her big speech. however it was funny when laplus distracted pekora long enough for her to get shot by botan and laplus did propose in the end just before the server closed so at least there was some closure. no sense in dwelling on it, i bet in one year no one will remember what could have been but instead remember laughing at what happened.
Honestly, the fact that Fubuki got shot in the face from the front makes that shot so much better than if someone in the audience shot her in the back. The fact that she didnt even hesitate also adds a bit more if you have seen Kanata's POV and seen her fail a few times to do crime because she hesitated. It took courage to take the gun out when you dont even know where a story is going and it took resolve to pull the trigger and commit to it. I am curious as to how the event was gonna go if she either didnt kill the Director, or if she didnt interfere but theres already stories out there with that ending, this was different and it was fun in the end.
That shot was perfect. All their experiences, collective and separate, throughout the server, brought them to that moment and they each made their own decisions. In that moment, the daughter's determination prevailed.
nah, kanata shot fubuki too quickly makes the situation 100 times funnier because its so unexpectedly funny and fit so much with the baker family drama theme lmao
It was very 'The Departed' type of shot where Leonardo Dicaprio gets unexpectedly capped while exiting elevator. Made it less 'soap opera' like which is good.
Kanata has nothing to apologize for. That shot was perfectly timed and in-character for the daughter. That scene was more than just Fubuki. The entire goofball family of Korone, Mio, and Kanata deserved to have their say in the action.
The moment was hilarious and that’s the most important part. The story got really good at points, but you should look at it as a comedy, and not take it so seriously.
If not Kanata's shot, there would be completly different ending. Korone wouldnt have any chances vs Fubu with knife at that short moment. Then the actual crucial fight was started and it was epic. Fubu failed to get her knife out after falling, but she still could just beat Korone to death, and then Fubu made a mistake putting a knife out when Koro were having low hp, and next Korone used that and did a huge contrattack and with that she proved her strength once again. It made Fubuki not complete villain, and the cheating shot made Bakery family not completly good side even, which gived a chance to make "Fuby X Mio" ending real. I guess so, that if Hospital Doctor get able to stab Korone and maybe even Mio, then Mio, getting harassed by Korone grenades would just endure that because she wont chose an other man that made her wedding destroyed and killed them right? He is not any better. And she cant just leave the family and stay alone. I more like the way things actually turned out. The Kanata's shot was actually epic from the crowd side - the cool falling of Fubuki and everyone screaming was wonderful. Try check theire Povs, Suisei or FUMC.
I doesnt really thought that the whole wedding thing went the wrong way as someone may think. Fubuki could make some more content there at wedding, but its already was an absolute cinema, and that wedding moment still sits in my head even after a week. The Hospital Director's frustrated retribution ended up getting defeated without killing anyone is so emotional.
Honestly, as much as I love how they've all planned and put together this story, I really do like how Kanata played this moment. I'm kind of in agreement with the daughter POV of this and enjoyed it from a cinematic perspective, but I can understand Fubuki wishing she'd gotten to finish her scene as she intended too. Respect to her for being a good sport about it. I've experienced this kind of thing in RP before from Fubuki's position and imo sometimes it is fine to just let the story take those little unexpected pivots from other participants.
I enjoyed that part. Yes it would have been more drama if the fox succeeded but it was after the fox was revived and then papa knocked him out to me that showed that he was the alpha dog of his family. The true ending had me laughing cause I thought the wedding ended the saga on a good note but what I got was the comedic ending which I was not expecting and glad I got.
You know now that she mentioned it, during the moment it genuinely never occurred to me that she had technically shot first before that was an obvious threat of violence and the cops who might now have seen then the knife didn’t actually do anything. I guess they were also caught up in the moment and not entirely sure what was going on at the alter either.
I mostly watched Fubuki throughout the server arc, and when she got shot at the time it seemed lame, but only because I thought some random/cop in the audience shot her and injected themselves into the plot. When I found out it was Kanata it was a relief because that made complete sense in the Panya family plotline. The thing about improv is you may have an idea for how things will go, but you have to accept when it runs another direction. Fubuki's intent would have been fun to see, but Kanata's reaction was entirely fine and also played out well. (Plus it seems Korone was invulnerable anyway so it couldn't have gone as Fubuki intended anyway, I think.)
Even AZKi's yandere bombing can't scratch Koroshiro's invincible body lol. The only thing that works is self harm as shown when Korone's grenade exploded in her hand on the black market after the wedding.
Korone wasn't invincible during the fight with Fubuki. You can see on Korone's pov that she was almost dead after their brawl in the altar. She was then healed and made god after Fubuki was down (the 2nd time).
@@RejectHumanityReturn2Monke Hm. I figured she was invuln before since Fubuki pulled her knife and attempted to stab after getting rezzed but still only ended up punching.
@@TotemoGaijin not that one, the one after the fireworks where Koromio divorce and KoroKanata goes to Cabaret Club and wed AZKi. Kanata even headshoting Korone several times there. Well, maybe I shouldn't use word bombing as AZKi use grenade not C4.
I was watching the incident from Suisei's point of view, and everyone was so confused after the shot because they couldn't see who shot Fubuki. In that moment, I felt that the unfolding story was ruined because there was a twist but the follow up on why and how the twist happened was missing. I think Kanata's choice to shoot early was fine, but no one saw the shot and didn't hear her say, "Let's proceed." If the police had seen the shot and heard it better (no silencer), they could have arrested Kanata and Fubuki before the vows, and that would have been a nice ending to the wedding too. The people left at the wedding would have had to role-play their way to a new conclusion, either proceed with a different priest or some other crazy thing could have started.
Interesting observation. I was watching Ina's POV. It was fairly clear Kanata shot Fubs but I was still a little let down. I felt the climax of the scene was not reached yet. The build up was suddenly cut short. I didn't know Kanata's backstory though. Looking at it now from the daughter's perspective and not inchou's, it made much more sense.
@@Zengkoy I had to go and check a few POVs, and it seems that quite a few police did see it or could have seen it, but they were sitting down and were focused on Fubuki. Miko specifically saw it and was pointing her gun at Kanata for a second, but was unsure what to do, which is totally understandable. Everything was fine in the end, and there is no point in getting upset because most of it is improv anyway.
as FBK said, everyone's roleplay being built upon coincidences and even more coincidences is what made the whole thing fun..while we can agree that Kanata kinda ruined the climax I'm sure we can also agree that the shock of seeing FBK-Iinchou getting shot also sent our hearts racing
I didn't think the climax was ruined. I think the shot out of nowhere and the equally sudden reemerging of the Doctor gave us a more exciting and for the setting appropriately violent conclusion than what might have been a morally overloaded monologue leading directly into the predictable final battle. I like how things played out and the forgotten daughter throwing a wrench into the main players' plans is a testimony for the richness of character stories we've gotten out of HoloGTA
As a daughter who grew up in Holo Santos she's probably on point in just shooting but she's also wrong in the rp and streamer standpoint. I still would like to believe the manga art where Kanata is actually Fubuki and Mio's daughter because of the gray hair.
I totally get what Kanata is saying here. She feels that she ruined the climax and yeah in a way, she did. But at the end of the end, it's all good fun, and as long as the talents had fun, i had too so she doesn't need to be so harsh on herself. I love Kanata
Not really. If Kanata didn't pull the trigger at the time, I don't think we'll have the same events that happened after. Maybe we won't have Polka planting the bomb in the altar, no god-mode Korone, maybe the bakery family stays together until the end, and Fubuki doesn't get her redemption arc, and no yandere Azki ending, and etc. Butterfly effect.
