I got into hololive with the Debut of Myth. Remember seeing an article on Crunchyroll announcing their debuts and I was like, I have nothing planed. Might be fun. Might as well watch. The rest is history.
I gotta say it was my first time watching a debut live and ERB was actually insane her singing skill are off the charts!! I'm quite excited about her first concert because she could sing really different things from your "typical" holo songs
Finally a British member and understanding her jokes and references :D, Idk if you guys heard but Gigi said she is doing EU timezones cause the other members are from EU, And i guess to talk with them better, So she is the only American or some other country
GiGi is supposed to be French, I made a joke saying her nickname should be GiGN. GIGN is the French Anti-Terrorism Military Police, and she is a member of HoloJustice.
Elizabeth is British, Gigi is French, Cecilia is German, and Raora is Italian. There are French speakers who don't have an accent unless they're cussing you in said French.
Gigis energy was amazing her little game that she made was so fun to watch Elizabeth's voice is incredible can't wait for her future covers as well as her karaoke streams also little bit of lore is that all four of the justice girls are the wardens for each advent member Gigi is for Bijou, Elizabeth is for Nerissa, the last two girls who are debuting tonight are the wardens for fuwamoco and Shiori thanks for the amazing reaction velocity see you tomorrow for the last two members debut streams
35:27 as an American, i would say we use stationary to talk about fancy paper, like the stuff that has letterhead printed on it. And no, "soz" is not something I'd ever heard in the States.
One of us finally got into Hololive it feels weird hearing British stuff said by an actual Brit but I’m loving it Also minus points for not liking tea but a lot of points for British 101, we hate work and love our beds and having to not get up at least where I’m from that’s the case
They both had great debuts, I love Liz she has an amazing voice and is a goofy dork that has a great heart, Gigi is going to be a lot of fun she seems like a combo of Bae, Biboo, and Dokibird
Its been a while since i watch live😂. Just graduated and free for now. Cant wait to see more live and more of the new Generation of hololive.....god im old now. Felt like yesterday when i discovered you guys and hololive 😂
The math equation is specifically written to be kind of ambiguous. For what it's worth, the way I was taught in Canada was PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction) but in an equation written like Gigi's 6÷2(1+2) the MD and AS are the same "rank" so to do it left to right. So it'd look like this: 6÷2(1+2) 6÷2(3) same as 6÷2x3 3x3=9
Thank you for the reaction, Bois! Elizabeth is very good debut-wise, would fit great in an opera setting singing-wise. Her last name reminds of the name "Blackwell" and Gigi looks amazing. I hope to see more from them now. Maybe my dreams of having a HoloBri'ish ain't dead after all, innit? Absolutely buzzin' for them Justice debuts. Perhaps a big cinematic fight between them and Advent is in the work.
i have been a fan since a few months before myth. i feel old now. my first exposure was actually a reccomendation of towa singing error. i owe her my rabbit hole birth.
Anyone else remember Bryce Forsyth? He had a famous catch phrase "It's nice to see you, too see you nice!" Which think could be the inspiration for her "It's lovely to see you, to see you lovely"
I honestly don't really care about sports, but are we not going to talk about the collab(?) between one of the biggest sports team in the entire world and Hololive ? I wouldn't be surprised if that happened in Japan, but it happening overseas is actually huge for the vtuber industry
BTW she played the Takamori session again in her 1st singing stream.....and she PONed. A takodachi, Takamori simper, and a PON-oneesan confirmed. I'm her loyal Rosarian already.
Lol these zoomers too young to get the old test card reference. TV used to stop in the early hours of the morning, no channels were 24 hours outside of maybe having Sky TV and when it did we got test cards playing a beep sound just so they knew the signal was working fine. It's a parody of one of the most famous ones used by the BBC of a girl drawing on a chalk board with a clown doll next to her.
I can understand that the way it is written is somewhat ambiguous, but the convention for order of operations is you do everything from left to right, starting with parentheticals, then exponents, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. So, once you have done the (1+2), you then do 6÷2, then 3×3. The answer is 9, not 1.
I was so gaslit to thinking the answer for Gigi’s math problem was 1 instead of 9, because the majority of people out of those 100K viewers typed 1 in the chat. I eventually asked ChatGPT about it and it says 9, regardless of it using PEMDAS or BODMAS, I was still gaslit at this point so I asked ChatGPT to reproduce the steps in order to get the answer of 1, and it didn’t even know how to do it, lol. This explains that just because the majority believes in it, it doesn’t mean it’s right. Which also means that the theory of the flat earth is also plausible and should not be disregarded. /s
25:12 So fun fact, actually those advent impressions were all done by Elizabeth. 😄 She's actually scarefully good at doing those impressions, even Advent were shocked at how well Elizabeth did their impressions 😂
Pop is not more of an American thing than British. Where you in the south call a fizzy pop a fizzy drink, in the north they are just called pop. It's more common in the north than in America and for that you owe me a bottle of pop.
I mean, it's really a regional thing. Where I live in the States, we say pop, but where my cousins live they say soda, and where my grandma is from they ask "What kind of Coke you want? We have root beer, orange, and Pepsi."
Gentlemen, you have fallen for *the* major problem with the Order of Operations acronym, and that is the belief that the placement of every letter represents the correct order. Compounding this misunderstanding is the fact that the acronym differs depending on the curricula or even a teacher's whim, including which word to use for the operations themselves. The most common acronyms are: BODMAS BEDMAS PEMDAS (perhaps the most well-known as it is accompanied by the mnemonic phrase 'Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally') This means strictly following the order of the letters in the acronym will cause you to arrive at the wrong answers, OFTEN. You got lucky this time because the acronym you were taught happened to coincide with the order of the operations in the problem you were solving (BODMAS - division appeared before multiplication), and those in your chat arriving at the incorrect answer were using PEMDAS, where multiplication is before division. The correct order is as follows: 1. [Brackets]/{Braces}/(Parentheses) - ( [ { if nested, like this example} i.e. brackets inside brackets ] then you start with the innermost ) 2. Exponents/Orders/Powers 3. Multiplication & Division - equal priority and completed in the order they appear from left to right 4. Addition & Subtraction - equal priority and completed in the order they appear from left to right ----- The acronym - intended to help people remember the steps - has been a *massive* failure as part of the tendency of education to focus on memorization rather than understanding. When one understands the Order, whichever acronym one was taught becomes irrelevant.
Thank you. It triggered me when people were saying the answer varied from country to country. It only does that if you are taught it wrong, math is universal.
@@thomasfalkenberg8549 I'm happy someone appreciates my comment. I've been outspoken against this idiotic acronym for decades, ever since I was first taught it in elementary school.
@@ProGentleman I was never taught any of these in school, we were just taught what you wrote in you comment, I had never even heard about any of them until there were those questions on Twitter people disagree on.
@@thomasfalkenberg8549 Are you perhaps born after 2000, and taught what is called 'Common Core'? The acronym is over a century old, arising around the same time as academic textbooks when education became commonplace. Some variation of it is (or was) taught in the lower grades, primarily the US, France, UK, and Commonwealth nations.
@ProGentleman No, I was born in the early 90's. It might just be that it's not a thing in Denmark. There were basically no rhymes or acronyms used in my education. I don't remember a single one tbh, so the extensive use I've seen elsewhere always surprised me.
