Lots of people use them for open water. You can get untinted or lighter tinted lenses.

Do these work alongside the Apple Watch swim app or are they a separate source of data? Do they interact with iPhone Health and Workout apps? How do they work when doing drills? Thanks for taking the time to make this video.

I dont think you would really need such device for that use case, I see an advantage in using smart goggles when doing workout in a swimming pool and planning to do laps at a certain pace/effort. For long distance like open water swimming a watch like Garmin will be more suited.

How do they work with garmin ? What about Heart rate ? Rest periods ? Automatic pause ? Can we choose what we see on the screen ?

Agree. I have the Form and the Finis smart goggles. These are a form knock off.

I agree with you on the BS subscription form goggles try to get customers into. But I've always used my goggles for just free swim. Where I go to the pool and figure out what sets intervals etc I want to do when I get there. The biggest thing I like my form goggles for is being able to see split times after each 25 and interval. Plus the total yardage swam in my workout so far. And all those features don't require the subscription. What we need is smart goggles to have a built-in mp3 player with earbuds.
