@@NielsHeusinkveld Technically, you are wrong. The formula for Horsepower is: HP = Torque x RPM ÷ 5252. You left out the constant of 5252, which makes your claim completely invalid. :P
@@johnronsmith haha of course, or 7121 if you're dealing with horsepower and Nm. If you do PROPER units, so power in watts and torque in Newton*meter, and rpm as radians per second, then it becomes the beautiful power = torque * speed, without any constants.
@@NielsHeusinkveld haha, typical American forgetting there are other units of measurement. Guess you weren't completely wrong, but since the original comment mentioned HP, you aren't completely right either.
He grabbed a beer and some donuts out of his pocket and stared at the road in front of him. He started thinking about his old sweetheart, a tear appeared in his eye. For now he has all he needs, his old sweetheart by his side. Made of metal of the finest kind. He chuckled feeling the metal steering wheel. Looking forward to the road ahead.
The poor guy is morbidly obese. He'll never live to be as old as that tractor. It will take heavy equipment to move him around when he can't walk anymore. Sad.
@@stoker20 >He'll never live to be as old as that tractor. Welllllllllllll, most people regardless of health won't. Hell, both sides of my family throw late 80s as early "unexpected" deaths with loads of 90s and 100s and I still don't expect to live to almost 110 years old (Holt 75s are quite old machines) because it is statistically so rare.
@@FerdinandFake Obese patients require multiple people and hydraulic lifts with chains to move them. I have a sister not far behind that poor guy. SAD!
It is interesting to hear the announcer talking about some new marvel tractor that has to run early because it might get rained on ,while this old holt hasn’t seen paint in my lifetime and is doing a full pull like nothing at all.
With 4 cylinders the size of trashcans, it's no surprise that this beast could pull down a building!!🤣 The Holt 120 6 cylinder would probably run with that sled.😁👍
@Kathleen Shaw Heh heh, pretty cool.. even the largest John Deere twin cyl. only had a 6.125x8.00 in. bore and stroke and displaced about 470 cu.in. That Holt has to be 2000+ cubes with a 8" or so bore and a 20" stroke.😮
@@drd6416 That engine wasn't even laboring! Lifted the nose of the machine drug that sled around like it was nothing still sounded like it had a fair bit more to give.
An old 75 would have no problem in a tractor pull. There are old photos of these machines literally pulling trains of wagons in applications like logging.
They were literally designed to pull unimaginable loads up shitty mountain roads. They'll outpull p.much anything on a modern tractor pull track. MAy take a while to do it bu they'll do it.
A fully relaxed 150foot wheelie sledpull. I missed the few feet at the end,and why is he holding on to the stearing wheel? There is nothing stearing. And what is this machine anyway? A Kontinentmover?
Guys should be ashamed of all your mean comments about this guy who is demonstrating his machine. Think y’all are just jealous of him. Where was this filmed?
What a great machine. I do have a some questions though. How can the front wheel and the tracks work together? If you throw the steering wheel hard over, would the tracks not keep her going in the straight line? And if the tracks also steer, would the front steering wheel be superfluous?
Doesn't actually steer through front wheel. Like a tractor, steering through drive wheels/tracks. You do need to turn the front wheel to avoid scrubbing.
True they did. No only did they know what they were doing they actually thought about it. Today we have a bunch of engineers who are consumed by their computers which they depend on to give them all the answers. Those folks were smarter than engineers of today. The US Navy recently launched a new combat littoral ship and it won't work because they have gearing problems in the drive train. Tons of paper degrees mountains of software and now we can't build a ship.
Its all in the smooth driving technique- blood like ice water.......well like double sweet tea and a piece of pie and a king size candy bar three peanutbutter and jelly sammiches and a small diet Coke.
I 💘 Love it....what does this guy do for excitement....or am I missing something? We need to double compound sled him, then get the Guinness book of records out there!!✌😳😂
