I love this kind of content, as I'm a fan of melody ICs. Sample-based ICs are interesting too. This one's hybrid. Also, Holtek did the sound generator IC found in some Chinese toy keyboards, such as the original My Music Center one.

Also, I think you got the note keys backwards. The button that plays Picnic is also the "G5" key, Stagecoach is "F5", Music Box Dancer "E5", etc. In your HT3864A video, you went backwards from 8 to 1 with the note bank, so that it plays it from C4 to C5.

The fact that the Fun Circus uses a COB packaged version of a DIP packaged chip makes me think that the sound chip used in various 90s toy keyboards (the one with Jingle Bells, Spanish Coffee, Let it Be, etc etc) may have had a DIP packaged version.

I haven't seen a video from you in a while. Can you do a video of the Holtek INC that plays 21 Christmas carols and has two phrases before and after each song? The phrases are "Ho ho ho merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year."

I think this is the reason why the omni is discontinued, its the sound chip is discontinued.

Can you do a video of the Holtek Christmas songs IC that has about 21 songs? There are two versions of it, one that has a song that repeats in the set, and one where that repeat is replaced the Up On the House Top. Each song starts out with a voice saying "Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas!" Then it plays the song, and then the voice says "Happy New Year!" You can find it on a lot of Goffa plush Christmas toys, if you want to know what this chip sounds like, check out the video called "Musical Mommy Mouse with Baby Mice" by Canine Crooner Fan Austin.

Nichols Electronics Omni Music Box All 32 Music Songs in Middle Pitched

This's BEYOND COOL! So, I'm waiting for my assistant Josh, to take me somewhere today, and I'm waiting outside, and an Ice Cream Truck passed. I'd never seen one come by our area before, until today. It was playing the first song Heard in this video! This's created by the OMNI 2 Music Box! I don't Eat Ice Cream, because I'm tube fed, HOWEVER, I've heard the music from these old things, on TV, like on an episode or two of COPS, and one on a RU-vid video of these kids who were playing Ding dong Ditch. But I heard the first song in that video too. Anyhow, hearing that Ice Cream Truck pass revived a question I've always had about those things, which is "How The Music Is played." Well I did some further, in depth research, and Now I know It's from a music box, that consists of a switch for CHAN-1, OFF, and CHAN-2, and there are two dials. A dial on the left for VOLUME, and a Dial on the right for the Tune To Be Played. And there's a bright red LED! But seeing this thing operate on RU-vid was cool, and Now I know exactly where that music is coming from, and how it's generated. AN OMNI-2 MUSIC BOX! Those things from what I understand aren't made anymore, but it's cool to look back in history, and understand more about the Ice Cream Truck that you hear on TV, or the one that passed by My House! I don't care about the Ice Cream, as I don't eat food, but understanding the workings (BEHIND THE SCENES), I'm all about Behind The Scenes, as I like to know how stuff works. But being in hospitals, and being around lots of technology all my life, has made me like that. Now I just gotta figure out a way to get INSIDE an Ice Cream Truck, and get my hands on the music box, and explore it a little bit! Let's see if I can get my assistant Joshua to help me with that!

HOLTEK HT3894 Applications: Nichols Electronics music boxes Blue Box Fun Circus Musical Keyboard I do not know of any other applications.

I wonder if it's possible to reproduce this exact chip, but add something that lets you program your own songs and add PCM samples..? It seems like a fun challenge, but I'd probably accidentally electrocute myself and turn myself into a fried dogshit lookalike making it.
