HOLY CATS! Dad reacts to THRILL (OMV) by BAND MAID!! 

Thrill randomly popped upon my feed in December. I now listen to BAND- MAID every day. They are addicting, but I don’t mind! More BAND-MAID please!

BandMaid is a live band. They make changes to the studio versions to keep it fresh and interesting to fans. You should check out some of their instrumentals: Onset, From Now On to check out their technical skills., Their lead singer had throat surgery a few years back and they put in Instrumentals to give Saiki a break. The rhythem guitarist Miku will also sing lead on a few songs to give Saiki a rest since their concerts usually run two plus hours.

BTW - this video saved BAND-MAID. They had just decided to quit because it was not going well. And then, this video got viral. And they had to continue.

One interesting tidbit. Miku, the backup (in this video co) singer and (later) rhythm guitar player is not playing on the guitar. She eventually learned to play guitar and is today quite proficient. BTW - this is Miku's band. She founded it and she manage it. And she came up with the maid thing because she was working at a maid cafe.

Yo Dad, did you say LOUDNESS? Well there is another J-girl band called NEMOPHILA that just put out a cover of "Crazy Nights". Check it out, you'll dig it!

Dad, are you recording from inside a fridge? It's muffled with a lot of interference.

BTW - I have not heard any good Thrill live. Regarding live vs studio. Generally BAND-MAID is best live. But, there are three exceptions. Thrill, instrumentals and the covid sessions doing studio live.
