I think this piece is fabulous. The mixture of colors at the bottom and the negative space at the top. Love the Paynes Grey. And those cells. Wow! Beautiful!
Inside less than 25 mins you come up with something amazing without even really trying. I spend two hours yesterday doing the best I can, and the mess on my mat was more impressive than what came out on my canvas. A 16x20 work was a total fail, no matter what I tried to do with it.
LOL! I've often thought the same thing!!!!!!!! - The mess on the mat is more fab than the painting! I am getting better though since studying Sarah - a LOT!
I buy white ceramic tiles at Lowe’s, the 4”x4” are 15 cents apiece & the 6”x6” are 46 cents each, it’s been a good way to practice the different techniques & if it’s a fail, just wipe & rinse off & try again. I’ve made some lovely coasters & trivets with them.
Ms Sarah I love this piece. With that blue negative space. The gold lites lthis piece up beautifully. Suck cool cells that came up . Thankyou for sharing your gift. Absolutely beautiful. ❤️
The second to the last dried results I see a face , eyes closed on the right. The one before that I see a sitting side view of a teddy bear. The one before pumpkin pour I see a face with the left eye missing in the section you redid. They are all beautiful and the Dutch pour is gorgeous and my favorite. I have received my MIX and am going to try to get some in some bottles this week. I have surgery on the 29th and will not be able to do any lifting. But I hope I can do some painting while recovering, which will take a month or more. I admit to being anxious and even a little scared as because of Covid, no one is allowed to come in hospital with me, even no family is allowed. I have to go through this alone. This painting is beautiful. I love the colors. The top cells look like a splash. Love love love it 😊❤🤗❤
WOW! Sarah thats beautiful and you know I love my negative space. I love that triple decker cup pour and the cells were amazing!! Wow again! This is definitely something that we are going to try out in he studio. Fire Opal we love it too!
Sarah Mack look up JMo Painting .it is actually minwax prestain wood conditioner and he uses 1 drop of this with 1 drop of silicone to get really trippy coloured cells.. He shows it in one of his videos.
The cells are AMAZING!!! Love this piece and am so grateful that you video while you work. Your vids are filled with such valuable information on technique and the product brands you use. Thank you for all that you do for those of us who are thirsty to learn more.
Gorgeous pour Sarah! That's an awesome Payne's Gray! Im glad you tried the push pins, I give them a few really good whacks with my mallet to get them all the way in. Sorry that one got wobbly on you, but you handled it like a champ! Excited to see you do more like this, very cool technique! ❤
Yes Mina I followed your advice to use a mallet and then I use a piece of "grippy" that I line cupboards with to help unscrew them off! Thanks again both of you! Fabulous piece, Sarah! I love seeing the dried pieces. Stunning!
I love seeing your dried results! You can really see the metallics and the shine. More dried pieces please! Also, I love everything about your videos. You rock!
This was absolutely amazing. The colors you combined with were stunning & that Paynes Grey just nailed it. I love to watch you paint as I learn so much from you & never miss any of your you tubes. Thank you so much Sarah for sharing your beautiful work.
Amazing! I wonder if it is the addition of the varnish that caused all those cells.... Very pretty. The negative space really sets it off. 💖💖💖 Great seeing the dried results of previous paintings. My oh my, that pumpkin one is ever so pretty. Love them all, of course! 💕💕💕
Awesome! Love that Payne's Gray too/ The negative space adds a lot of interest and I like your idea of affing leafing to it! Would love to see it, if you do!
This is stunning. I was so inspired! I painted my version of it, using Floetrol with clear PVA glue and I’m so happy with results. I always learn so much from you.
I seriously love this SO MUCH!!! I love the negative space and those colors are beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing! You have totally inspired me to try something like this out! ♡♡♡
Holy Wonder Woman that painting is soooooo gorgeous! I love all of the colors you used and the cells are very beautiful. If you decide that you want too add gold leaf on the top I hope you will show it to us. 👏💗💗
I had heart failure when you bumped your cup!!!! I actually yelled at my phone lol 😆 This is awesome! But honestly at first I was like "Sarah what ARE you doing?!?!" So so cool!!!
