I've been meaning to test out this foundation from LORAC ever since it first launched earlier this year, but somehow it passed me by; to this day it continues to hold an incredibly high rating across retailer websites, so I'm excited to finally be testing it out! It claims to be for all skin types, so let's see how it performed on my oily skin over a week of wear... Σ(･o･;)

Try no mix-ins, use thinner layers, especially around your nose area, take foundation up into hairline and down your neck, and add a powder and setting spray.🤷🏻‍♀️

I think if you used an actual mattifying primer this foundation would work well on you...still unsure why you don't prep your skin like you're oily 🤔

Honestly I have super oily skin (like get oily within 2-3 hours oily) and sometimes it doesn’t matter what you put on your skin. I have never found a primer that mattifies my skin for as long as I would like, and sometimes putting on an extra layer makes it worse haha. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@xokkisses Exactly! Also, a lot of those mattifying primers and stuff actually do the opposite and create MORE oils. You don't want to overdo it with the anti-oil, mattifying stuff as they tend to strip all your natural oils, making your body over-produce more to compensate and then you're worse off than when you started. I have combo skin that gets oily during the day and I don't even use primers because one, they break me out, and two, they don't do anything useful at all.

Not sure why you make your face so deathly white...especially when you don't blend down your neck or into your hairline. It looks completely unnatural and fairly bizarre. Is there a particular reason?

Cassie, I really like your reviews, but I wish that you would not use the NYX mix in medium addition. If you can't get the correct shade, I am asking that you just wait until you can get it. That mix in medium DOES change the formula of the foundation! POINT. BLANK. PERIODT! Perhaps, you should try a mattifying primer.... Just my .02 cents. Stay safe😷

I have this foundation and it doesn't wear like this on me... Maybe it's because of different skin types/environments/products used.... I do set my foundation under my eyes with a powder and I use a setting spray. Or maybe it was that mixer you added?? Try doing a day without the mixer -- ignoring the shade, just to test the formula to see if there's a difference? It might help!

Every foundation will come out when you r oily at the end of the day...and its normal even if they claim to be waterproof or transferproof,sebum melting everything,no escape...

You really need to stick with the lightest shade on foundations since most are not light enough anyway. I have pale skin and my skin is not the palest in the world and except for a handful of companies, I ALWAYS have to go with the lightest shade and even then most of the time it's still a bit too dark and/or orange on me. I'd rather you get a foundation that is possibly too light than too dark because regardless of what you mentioned about the mixing medium, I hate when you have to add that to foundations because it does change the formulation a bit. Also, if it's too light, you can always bronze to darken it up a bit. Please just go with the lightest shade next time....

When they say it is suitable for all skin types means that it shouldn't cause sensitivity, not that it will actually look great in dry, oily, combo, etc.

I love Cassie and to see her reviews and I have always wonder this too! And in the corner of her eye area near the bridge of her nose.... For me I have to cover everything so it matches in color. I don’t think I have even seen her put concealer on her lids or corners. I’m sure she has a reason or preference but I’m curious too. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe I shouldn’t be covering my lids?? She applies to her nose crease. So I’m not sure what the other commentor is referring to.

Probably because it creases like heck! I HATE when people put their foundation on their eyelids or even uses concealer as a primer because it visibly creases every single time they do it. It's worse for people with oily lids, like mine. I like a clean area on my lids to be able to put down actual eyeshadow primer that won't crease and that way you won't see any weird creasing through the eyeshadow...and the shadow sticks better. People that can somehow get away with putting something other than primer on their lids usually don't have oily or hooded lids, or they just don't care about creasing foundation/concealer. That would personally drive me insane, though. Besides, it doesn't matter in the end as her eyeshadow always looks great. Also there are primers that have pigment in them that act like a concealer would but without the creasing.

Maybe don’t put so much on and around ur nose. I for one never put any foundation or concealer on my nose for the simple fact that I can’t stand the way it looks when it sinks into the pores

Wait, did you just review a foundation that you mixed with something else for every application? And then complain about the wear? The entire formula is destroyed when you add anything. It's all by percentage and pH. You can't say the "mixer" "doesn't affect the wear." Of course it does. Do you know know how those combine, what copolymers need to be in synch that now are not? Be fair, Cassie. This is not a fair review at all. Either review the product, by itself with no mixing (except layers, obviously, but it's mixing that changes things. Witness: oil and water) or don't turn on the camera. Not till you're willing to do a real review.

I agree 100%. This is a valid argument and point that has been made on other videos as well. It’s frustrating. If my career was being a beauty guru, I’d find the right shade for my skin first BEFORE filming even if that meant having to return the first one. Also, this foundation shade, #4, is for those with olive skin tones. I hate to sound mean, but it’s just lazy.

She usually tries the foundation alone first and then the next day she'll add in the mixer. As she said though, she was filming a video that day so she needed the color to match. Watch her other videos and you'll see she is fair in her reviews. No need to be so upset lol

I’m sitting here trying to think of when I’ve seen you use one in the many vids of yours that I’ve watched...🤔 I find that my setting spray helps some “loosely adherent” (lol) foundations stay in place. I know the undertone is a bit yellow/golden but I clicked on this video cause I thought it was the nicest foundation I’ve seen on you! I thinks it’s a combo of the beautiful application and coverage and the darker shade then normal. My natural face doesn’t match my neck so I never worry to much about slight shade differences just blend down the neck 💕

Oh by the way.. don't let people tell you what foundation colors you should wear. There are so many RU-vid beauty channels that wear ridiculously dark foundation. To me it looks horrible. I actually tried this foundation put for the first time yesterday too. I have dry dehydrated skin and i am in my 50s so i moisturized and put on my favorite sunscreen. I also used my blurr stick on my pores. I loved it. I wear a mask for 8 hours straight and it stayed perfect the entire day. I didnt even need to touch up at the end of fhe day go go to dinner. It was confortable as well. Some foundations can get almost itchy feeling on my by end of day but not this one. I do realize we are on complete opposite scale with our skin types but i watch every video you make bc i love you lol. Honestly the only reason i even picked it up was bc it was on sale at my ulta for 75% off. I got the only light color they had left and it was a perfect match. I just hope they arent discontinuing this foundation and that is why it was on sale. I am thinking its bc they dont carry it in stores anymore. Ultas website say online only but some stores do have it. Sorry it didnt work for you i am thrilled with it and want to grab the concealer before thats out of stores too. Xoxox

I think you are more neutral but leaning cool 🥰 Most foundations look way too warm yellow, and the white mixer only adjusts the darkness, not undertone. Anyhoo, I would love you to try a cool undertone foundation. I bet you'd see a difference

I have a bottle of Lorac Sheer Porefection that I picked up on clearance. It's been collecting dust as I tried other foundations over the past 10 mos. So I finally tried it and I was very impressed. You and your cats at the end 🤗 sooo cute. Btw I got a blemish last week, it was a sore lump under the skin. I picked and picked at it and hurt myself. I can understand why it's difficult to stop. I'm not used to having blemishes. I got it from working in the hotel. So dusty and disgusting and using chemicals on the daily, my asthma is bad and now a blemish. I got one of the lightest shades and it ran yellow. Like you said the model looked like my skin color but it just wasn’t that close. It’s not terrible but definitely the wrong undertone.

You should try the Laura mercier translucent setting powder. It has been a life changer for me! It does not get cakey or gross or settle in lines at all. 😊

She just strictly tests the product which is the foundation as it is. So no setting powders or setting sprays to test its true power and wear of the foundation.
