i feel like you refer to doing your makeup “in the back of a cab” so often in your videos that it’s only fair that one day you give us a dedicated video to products for last minute messy back of the cab application (bonus points if you get footage of you applying the products in a moving vehicle)
@@karimamckimmie Hey Karima!! Was wondering if you would consider doing that video about your makeup in the back of an uber!!! It would be really helpful for everyday life :)
How are you not more popular?? Your videos have always been incredibly entertaining and aesthetically pleasing, and you are super articulate as well. I hope more people would appreciate you.
Between Karima and the Beauty News gals, all of my fave youtubers are australian. They don't seem to get all over excited and ridiculously hyped. They also are more honest when things suck (or as Hailey says, "crappy products that crapped me off".)
Mandar I agree that being in AUS doesn’t seem to help, but she does seem to try to negate that by uploading seasonal tutorials based on NA (like, winter looks when it’s actually summer where she’s at) and mixing it up. I think she struggles to reach a wider audience because almost all her favorites are very expensive, but she is younger, so her viewers (who I assume are around her age) may not be able to relate to that/afford the products. Even if just one product was a worthy splurge, she’ll often double up (mixing foundations; applying an expensive eyeshadow with an expensive “topcoat”, etc) Frankly, I’m curious how she is renting a filming-specific studio, I believe has her own apartment, and the budget for all of these purchases (and übers?) while being in college/fresh out of college, but I’m happy she seems to be living comfortably and I do love her content.
Have you ever watched Samantha Ravndahl’s channel? Makeup companies seem to have a vendetta against her as well. They discontinue everything she loves. 🤣
I love how when you say you love a product you actually mean it, unlike so many YTers who say 'OMG I AM LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH THIS!' with every single product and then we never hear about those products again or see them used in videos months later. Really wanna try the GA cushion, but why do they only go up to shade 5.5 :(
Girl, I can literally watch 20 times the same video and never be tired of it. Please accept that you are one of the best in the beauty RU-vid, your videos are my favorite. Keep doing 💕
I hate to use the term skin twin but I have to agree with OP @nikigray, I have extremely similar skin type and skin colour is the same as yours. Your recommendations are pretty spot on when I am debating purchasing any particular item. So @karimamckimmie please create a video just on your customized zpalette please 😁
I can't quite get over the sense of entitlement people feel. You're producing this content for free and yet still people feel the need to have a go at you about your nails. The nerve!
I LOVE this video idea. I use your holy grail/favorites videos like encyclopedias and I would always rather know your favorite products than new in or passing fads
I would love to see a video on your life palette and favourite single eyeshadow pan formulas! I so want to create a palette where I actually use all of the eyeshadows
Karima, I truly don't know why you don't have as many subscribers as other, your content is REALLY GOOD, fucking genuine, not annoyting what so ever and really engaging, also your tone of voice is so calming as well. Idk, it just annoys me real good people are not recognized as much, keep up your amazing work!!!
I tried the Rouge Bunny Rouge powder because you kept mentioning it and I LOVE it! I hate most powders and it doesn’t fight with my dry skin. Thank you!🥰
Pc_ Cathy I really love it! My brows are legitimately dark grey (not brown, not black) and even “taupe” pencils didn’t work. This one isn’t too hard, isn’t too soft, is inexpensive...can’t ask for more, lol.
ambercelt I use the taupe (I’m a blonde that hates warmth in brows too) and converted my mother to it as well! I way prefer it to the more expensive Benefit one!
The Colourpop Brow Boss Pencil in black is a fave for me - not very pigmented, so your eyebrows won't go blocky like they might with a different black pencil, and not warm in colour at all. Gives a sort of soft focus look, a definite fave that I've turned my friends on to.
Please do a video about your customized palette :) I also prefer single eyeshadows nowadays, but I only own 12 yet. Would like to see some inspiration ! Great idea to separate the matt shades from the shimmer ones!
I’ve been watching you for years and your videos just bring me so much comfort. I love listening you talk about makeup so passionately, but also, in such an informative and teachable way. Thank you!
Karima darling! You look so GORGEOUS with that sleek ponytail and those earrings! 😘💗💕 LOVE the CoverFx perfect setting powder! I bought it earlier this year because of your videos! Lots of other beauty RU-vidrs love Luminoso, the Hourglass bronzer and the CT lip pencils! I want them so badly but my wallet says otherwise! 😂🤚
Oh, you organized your eyeshadow palette like I did mine in the Unii palette! :D Hi from MUA! I've tried almost all the products you have, and even though I have normal skin, the peoducts don't stick - you're lucky with your skin in that way!
not really a brow pencil, but a brow pen that I love and can draw individual hair like strokes with: glossier's brow flick! I pair it with the Benefit 24 hour brow setter, and I can achieve my favorite bushy brow look in 5 minutes. love your videos btw!
Ahhhh this was great! I really like that you went back to review past favourites. I feel it's so hard to know the tried and true when brands keep vomiting new releases left right and center.
LOVED this! When you mention RBR it is like a walk down memory lane.... What happened to that wonderful line? Why is it not a talked about company anymore??? Thanks for all your great content!
I feel the same way about Pillowtalk, I'll put it on and think it's just too pink for me. I love all your videos, your personality and the way you talk!
I actually LOVE the pencil side of the Urban Decay brow blade. No one talks about it because they're all so intrigued by the liquid eyebrow side, but the pencil side is absolutely brilliant!
*I have a bronzer recommendation for you and a highlighter recommendation. If you can get it, Makeup Geek bronzers are absolutely spectacular. If you've ever used a Physicians Formula butter bronzer they're kind of like that texture but they are so luxurious and the shades are really beautiful. If you get the chance, try one. (Their highlighters and blushes are equally stunning.)....BUT The Elcie Cosmetics highlighter in the shade Luna...Oh My Noodle.... This highlighter is so unbelievably perfect! The shade luna looks a little pink in the pan but on the skin it just looks like a wet glow. The other shade (Sol) is more gold leaning and it's amazing, too. They're both outstanding but on your skin, Luna...for sure!*
billion dollar brows universal pencil! cool toned universal brown/grey, wind up formula. don't know if you could sharpen it but honestly its fairly thin anyway and way softer than the hourglass one.
Marc Jacobs Youthquake moisturiser is my new fave, up to my second tub already and it only launched at Sephora Australia earlier this year 😂 its so nice!! Great vid as always girl ☺️
Yes!!! Much love from the US! ❤️It’s so late here but I’ll stay up for this upload from you!! Your voice is sooo soothing and I love your makeup preferences 🥰❤️
Agree, I use the hard formula (H9) in seal brown (02). It's a good ash brown for my olive skin. I've tried loads of others but always come back, it's perfect and I've been using for 20 years even though now I have to order from Korea!
BROW PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION: Iconic London brow cushion. not a pencil but it's amazing, stay on all day, doesn't make your brows crispy, and can be as soft or powerful as you want. also has two tones in the cushion.
Karima, i cant remember if you've tried it, but the diorshow brow pencil is a wonder of formulation and tone; does not slip or smudge throughout the day but applies easy. I recommend universal dark as far as a shade, very grayge but in a bealivably human sort of way, and also great to cheat a lip line 💖✨
Your reaction to the lipsticks was my favourite lol. For eyebrows, have you tried Surratt's raven? It says it's black, but it just dark without any red (which is why I love it - my skin takes any red and amplifies it by 10x).
Karima! You’re freaking beautiful😱 Have you tried the Etude house drawing brow pencil? That’s what I’ve been using for years, i have black hair and i go back and forth between shade 1 Dark brown and 2 Grey brown (currently loving Dark brown, it’s a neutral brown, not too warm). Texture wise, I feel like its neither hard nor soft.
Yes!! I was about to comment about the EH brow pencils too! Grey Brown suits me perfectly and I love how they wear. Not to mention their affordable price-points.
@gum pepper Yeah I'm with you. I've tried other brands too, but I keep coming back to EH cuz it's so so good. I love how natural it is. I order it either on amazon or yesstyle. :x
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz - in the shade Ebony ... it's very natural, not black... it's a cold brown, grey... I have light brown hair and brown-grey brows and it's perfect :) I also had Medium Brown and Dark Brown from ABH but both colors are not cold, in photos you see it... and the Brow Wiz holds the whole day even when you are sweating or swimming... and I also use the Givenchy Clear Brow Gel
Hello love! Not sure if someone already answered this, but yes! The naked skin concealers & foundations have been discontinued. I work at Ulta and know that they actually replaced the naked weightless line with the new stay naked foundations & concealers. Just wanted to inform you in case! Much love! 💗
I'm fully with you about the discontinued products... if I fall in love with something it is almost guaranteed that it will be discontinued... I still feel personally attacked by Armani discontinuing their Lasting Silk foundation and Maestro Eraser concealer... I have the tiniest bit of the foundation left and I am hoarding it like some sort of psychopath.
I bought the Maestro Glow in 0 because of you, was able to nab a bottle from Selfridges after they'd already removed it from Armani and Sephora. Hurts my soul because I love that stuff and as a very fair gal I heavily rely on it to lighten a lot of my foundations.
The closet thing I’ve come to as a holy grail brow pencil is the IT cosmetics original pencil. That universal shade is a very grey brown and is soft but not too soft.
I found that the UD concealer lifted my base when I applied it. It started to lift halfway into the tube so it could be as it got older. I don’t buy that anymore now love love the Covergirl concealer it’s like Tarte shape tape but not drying. And affordable!
Love the MAC brow pen.....they have a good shade range & my color is one of the brown shades. However, if you are looking for gray, they have two grayish colors: one called “stud” and the other simply called “taupe.”
*Ok, I have 2 super beautiful blushes that are right up your alley but nobody talks about them! One is affordable and one is high end. First, the Milani baked blush in the shade Bella Bellini. It's even more beautiful than Luminoso but it gets passed up all the time. Secondly is the Organic Certified Highlighting blush in the shade Cheek Crush. It's very important that if you get this blush you choose the right shade. The other shades are nothing like this one and Cheek Crush is that perfect orangey pink with a gorgeous, delicate, lit from within Glow that doesn't accentuate texture and looks good on mature skin, too. You will love it!*
I love high end, and some luxury brands, Lord knows I buy enough…but my biggest thrill has become finding affordable and cruelty free options for my more pricey favorites. I don’t care or feel impressed anymore by designer names, or fancy packaging, just want good, clean products that make me look gorgeous and aren’t insultingly expensive.
Love this video, per usual! I would be fascinated to know what shadows are in your life palette and how you choose shades to add to it. I've been exclusively using a custom palette for years now and would love to hear your thoughts.
BCL Browlash EX Eyebrow Pencil & Liquid in Greyish Brown! You got the pencil AND the liquid pen, best of both worlds. I've ditched my Suqqu Brow Pen since.
I recommend the K palette 3 way eyebrow pencil in Grayish Brown. It’s the first eyebrow pencil I’ve really loved and the color is PERFECT: it’s not straight up gray but it doesn’t have any red in it. You can get it at yesstyle
I know what you mean about watching/hearing yourself over again, it feels so cringy to me. Love this smoked out wing look, btw, and a new Karima video to close out the night is always the best!
Hey karima , i would really love to see what are the exact shades in your life palette...please make a video sharing all shades in it.......love from india
Karima, I missed you, thanks for the upload & yet another great video 😉 Brow pencil, then. The ONLY brow product that works for me color-wise (as I too hate warmth in my brows), that doesn’t make them look orange or or too dark is Chanel waterproof pencil in 812 Ébène. More cool-toned, definitely, yet not ashy. Doesn’t smudge, yet soft enough to apply easily & blend out with a spoolie. I go quite light-handed for it not to look too dark (my skin tone is not medium-deep either, it’s rather light, I’m 4.5 in Armani cushion) Unfortunately, it’s not widely available & I could only find it at boutiques. I also heard brunettes like TF brow pencil in taupe or smth, not sure, haven’t tried if myself.
at the end of the video you kinda bonded with baby Karima of 2016 so you could notice that you became more relaxed and actually enjoyed listening to your own voice. now you know how we all enjoy your videos. you're one of us now. lol BTW, as for a brow pencil product that I quite enjoy is the Etude House one. they have this angular tip that looks like the Benefit brow pencil, and another one with a very thin tip so you can draw small strokes or fine lines when filling your eyebrows. I enjoy the Etude House one way more than the benefit one.
The Shu hard formula! I remember you mentioned in your blog ages ago that its too hard but thats really only initially! After it becomes softer and gentler on the brows especialy if you carve it to the sword shape - soo therapeutic to do. Mine has been my HG for years and its natural but pigmented enough where i need it 👌 And you know the japanese bring it to the grey brow game ;)
OH MY GOD I’ve always been saying Armani beauty has a personal vendetta against me. I LOVED their lasting silk foundation, it was the absolute most perfect foundation on this planet and just like that they discontinued it. I stocked up on 2 bottles before that happened but I’m on the last few drops 😭😭😭
I'm loving the new Covergirl brow pencil (not sure on exact name, its a micro pencil tho like ABH brow wiz) in RICH BROWN! Its not actually rich at all. Its super neutral, almost greyish brown and its perfect.
Missed you so much karimaa❤ Glad you're back with another amazing video. All the stuff you mentioned isn't available in India yet but I hope when it will be I would surely love to try them out😍❤❤❤❤ Just watching your videos make my day!!
