Save these historic churches. They can't be replaced once there gone.

Rick Sebak's videos provide me with a free sightseeing trip back home to Pittsburgh. I grew up in Penn Hills and Beulah Road and Churchill's name origin now make sense.

What beautiful places. All catholic churches, schools I attended merged in the 70's and all are condominiums

Even though I no longer have WQED on my television (WQED was our PBS station from 1998-2004, when we switched to Penn State's PBS station), I still admire Rick Sebak's documentaries from watching several RU-vid videos. But many of those videos have since been taken down because of RU-vid's copyright system. I'm hoping WQED's RU-vid Channel will upload more full Rick Sebak documentaries in the near future without having to worry about copyright violations.

Great to see - Rick did a great job, as always. I wonder how many of the ones captured here are still standing? I believe the Episcopalian one mentioned as having a "future in doubt" was demolished (was that footage of the demolition right after that clip?) - I also wondered if the Millvale one was the one demolished to widen Rt 28.

One cathedral has the most artifacts outside of the Vatican.

Why isn't this on DVD?

I was very disappointed that more Catholic churches were not showcased. Even mention of "Catholic" is very scarce.
