I’m not even a big fan of racing games myself. With that being said I bought the psvr2 cause I was bored and now I own a whole racing sim set up and can’t stop playing gt7
Psvr2 is worth it for GT7 alone You will spend hundreds of hours racing in VR. It's that good an experience. Its mind blowing. Oh and dont miss out on resident evil 8 vr. Stunning experience.
Already spent a large amount of time on GT7 in VR2 and looking forward to much more. I've not really considered Resi as I never really got on with the franchise. Recently retried with Resi 2 and Resi 7 and they didn't do it for me :(
@@harmleyten4 Firstly it strains my eyes slightly as I wear glasses, secondly I purchased PAVLOV on the PS store to play with someone else that has the Quest 2. Only to find out crossplay isn't available yet. Reached out to Sony for a refund and because I downloaded the game they won't refund me. So my heart is hardened with Sony. 15+yrs as a loyal customer and they treat me like crap. One refund request? So Sony can have their headset back. And their dualsense edge controller. I won't be using that either.
Thinking of getting one of these for GT7, it's already super fun just with the dualsense in VR. If you suffer with any motion sickness, may I suggest putting a fan on yourself - I have a few friends who had the same problem with the more active VR games and for whatever reason this seems to alleviate some of the sickness 👍
"these tracks don't come naturally to me and I don't know much about cars as I'm not a petrol head and I've perfected the driving in this game on a pad with only 100 cars in my garage and 700k in the bank but I do love a racing game" 😂. Well done for making the effort fella 👍
This is my combo that I have right now. I invest in VR, and less prioritize in racing rig and wheel. VR brings you to another level. The interior of GR 2 and 3, and even classic cars, are amazing in GT7
I have the same setup except I have GT lite series cockpit seat folds up like a Is lawn chair . I cannot Express this Enough In words. once you sit in a cockpit with a wheel and VR2 on A PS 5 on this game it is the closest that you can get to real life it is insane
I have the same cockpit (love it!), and I just purchased the PSVR2 specifically for GT7. So, seeing messages like this make it much harder to wait for my day off to try it out (it literally arrived in the mail today). I am so hyped for this!
Please elaborate on your setup. I have the HTC vive and rift cv1 with 7900xtx high end pc and no ps5 but strongly considering buying ps5 and psvr2.. what are your thoughts on this compared to assetto corsa on pc etc?
If you’re already playing Gt7 and you’re playing it on psvr2 then you absolutely should. The setup he has ( mine is the same) is the best bang for the buck you can get right now.
@@mraycgz I finally got around to trying my G29 with GT7 and PSVR2 and I don't really like it as much as with the standard controller. I expected to have a lot more feel for when I was loosing traction, but I found myself spinning out more often than I do with a controller. Back when I used to play Project Cars 2 in VR on my PC I loved using the wheel, but in GT7 I'm much less impressed. Maybe I've just gotten too used to driving with a controller. I'll probably try it a few more times, but it did NOT make me faster or more precise.
Strangely, this game gives me absolutely zero motion sickness and smooth turning in something like resident evil village sends me to the grave instantly
Can you kart from the comfort of inside your own home? No? Then this is extreeeeemely thrilling. To be transported to a different city at a different time of day in an instant while sitting in amazing cars, racing down a highway is utterly amazing! IMO
I've definitely got the most out of mine. It's got to be about 17 years old now. Definitely a worthwhile investment. It's gone from top-of-the-line, entry level, but it's nice to see they're still produced. Interesting side note. I picked up GT1 on day one. Played it with a controller for less than a week. I bought an UltraRacer controller, and it was FF wheels after that. My G29 is my third. I've used a wheel the whole time. Wouldn't even know how to go about it with a regular PS controller
I have the GT Omega Titan xlrs seat tgt2 and tlcm pedals and vr2 my wheel servo vibrates the rig and with the head set rumbling along it's an incredible experience absolutely love it .
PS5, PSVR2, Next Level Racing rig and a Logitech G923 wheel/pedals combo. And so far no motion sickness. But if it happens, I will go down to a very slow car and just progress from there as I can.
I've felt zero sickness in VR2 up until that moment. I believe it was totally to do with the added steering wheel. I've probably played GT7 for around 30 hours in VR2 with a controller to that point.. no sickness. Moving on to the wheel and pedals just threw me for a moment. Am fine now.. was just a brief wobble :D
@The Games Shed Bro me too. But in fairness I was using a car I wasn't used to at all on a track I've only raced once. Using the controlled I felt nothing but joy! Can't wait to train to tummy to not be such a biatch! Lol
I'm still torn between the G29 and the Ps5 controller cos the haptic triggers give me intuitive feedback both braking and accelerating in terms of limit of grip and, because it is on the finger that can respond to the lack of grip, I find, for me, the response is faster too. I find the pedals a bit dead and the feedback from the wheel not as intuitive in these cases. Definitely notice it more in slipperier conditions. Be interested to know your thoughts on this
Check out the G923 wheel. I wish someone had told me about it before I got my G29 because it is supposed to have the haptics from the controller built in. Bit more expensive though but I might upgrade to it sometime to get that extra feedback.
Just picked up VR2 & a Logitech G Pro set up and... well, it's not as great as everyone says because it's still GT7. Theres no casual gaming in VR with that game... All I want to do is drive the Nurburgring with whatever car I want. Will probably return it all...
A good video game will evoke emotion. Nervousness is one of those feelings. Excitement, thrill of the race etc. Plenty of emotions. The heart rate sensor and stress indicator show this game evoking plenty of that.
@@focussport You sleep! I own 3 headsets including PSVR2! Clearly I’ve experienced GT in VR who comments on something with no knowledge! I’m just confused as to why “GAME SHED” was attaching real world driving consequences to a game. I’m enjoying it for what is, without the fear factor element!
Sounds like you returned it before you ever set it up right. It's not blurry at all when you get the lens focus set. It is known that the sweet spot is small, and it takes patience to get it right, but once you do its good to go. Too bad you'll never know I guess... have fun with the flat screen 🤷🏼♂️
Exactly this. Takes about a week to know exactly how to nail that sweet spot every time. Zero blurriness here, but at first was a challenge. Now I slam on the headset, give a little wiggle, adjust tightness and possibly move the lenses a fraction and done. All in all, seconds.
PSVR2 does NOT look this sharp while wearing the unit, in fact I'm sending mine back as it's just a blurry mess... Can't see the hype for this piece of junk.
I had the original PSVR, but when it broke I decided to go with a gaming PC and PCVR via a Quest 2. I just finally bought a PS5. Next I'll be working on getting the PSVR 2, and I actually already have a G29 stashed away that I've barely used.
This is the exact setup I have. I’d love to upgrade wheels but I haven’t been racing long enough to justify it. The one thing I’d change is I’d get a better brake pedal. The Logitech one is fine but it doesn’t actually work on pressure but rather on travel. A dynamic brake pedal is amazing and is probably more important than a wheel upgrade. Pretty nerdy stuff but that’s the game.
Evidently, Kaz recommended starting with a low-power, open-top car, such as an MX-5... Help overcome motion sickness I went straight for the green Lambo GT3 and... yes... maybe I shouldn't have done 😉😄🤪
Buy the £50 shifter. I spent £14k on a triple screen setup and this headset is still more immersive lol. The only thing I don’t like is everything ahead in the distance is blurry!
Interesting perspective being that you went from controller to wheel with vr. I would suggest manual and taking off all driving aids apart from abs and removing the driving line etc. Will give a better feel of whats going on and really extract what a wheel vr combo has to offer.
