HS360s connects just like all the better drones now using a RF signal from the remote instead of shaky Wi-Fi from your phone or device! Review and Instructions.
Hope all is well...have not seen your videos in a while...u were one of the main people who got me into the drone hobby...God bless and looking forward to seeing more videos in the future.
Thanks for the great reviews. They have helped me to zero in on the Holy Stone drones. I have been trying to decide between this one and the HS175D and initially leaning to the HS175D because of the 2 batteries. However, this review explaining about WiFi connection limitations, has me settled on this one. Also, took your advice on getting one of the micro drones, HS210F to learn controls and really help to decide if drones are a good hobby. I believe the advice on getting a micro drone is one of the best pieces of advice you have provided. It's tons of fun, so now wait until our winter weather disappears to get this drone and be able to go outside and enjoy. Thanks for the great reviews and I appreciate the detail that you go into, but it is still easy to understand.
Just got mine and WOW!! Used coupon codes and got it down to $140 total. Got delivered today and im already impressed. Watched quite a few videos before making my choice including yours several times. Super easy to fly. Connection is AMAZING. Camera is on par with a good point n click shooter. Video..... Works. I shoot video in 2.7k 30fps so i can slow it down and grab high quality stills.
@@b4ugo hi I was just wondering if you or anyone else knows the answer to this but I just bought this drone and in the manual there is no mention of gyro calibration just compass does it not need to be gyro calibrated
Great review. Potensic Atom SE seems to be a better value for a little extra, but this is a rabbit's hole, little by little it turns into a space shuttle mission.
Great to see you back James. Nice review on the HS360S, HolyStone looks like they’re finally adopting the OTA system to their quads which is much better that the old WiFi connection.
Thanks , had to take a 6 month break, long story, busy and business but mainly opened up a new campus for my church and im the lead Deacon and thier was so much to do. I had to chose which hat to take off for a while.
Excellent review, thank you. As you suggested, I played with my brothers, "toy" drone first and this video made my purchase decision for me. My use for this may be a bit unusual; I live on a ranch and will use this short range, (< 1/4 mi. ) to look for cattle and varmints plus as a target camera, ( stationary on a platform) , for long range shooting. Thanks again.
the 360s also has a reliable GPS setup - quick too - ive got 2 of them and both calibrate at less than 1 turn horizontal and vertical - its also got a good working abort on the calibration so u can redo it and not take off with bad cal!! it is easily their best, most reliable machine. agree with the 210 being a great wee trainer - the new 210F is soooo much fun too - flies like a Lancaster bomber!!! banking and slipping and soaring into the blue yonder - flew one in a snowstorm a few days ago and it was fine!! - dried it out on the mantlepiece!! - great seeing my favourite review guy back doing drones!!! 😊😊😊
Yes, i agree, maybe the best controller of any drone less than $2,000 dollars and this one is less than $200, just wish they would combine the 3 axis gimbal with this one
Just got mine last week my first drone vary impressed with it I did register it in 🇬🇧 had to do a 40 minute on line test to get a pilot id and a operator id
This is interesting. When I opened the app for the first time, there was a free offer to get a battery! I couldn't believe it but...the battery came in yesterday! Free!
Amazing! Yeppers, I hate talking about it because some ont really go through the process, There customer service is the best in the industry, wish top of the line drones would follow
I love your videos there so informative and well done thank you.. I have gotten this drone n had not to good of a experience but I sent tge one i had back for a new one I think i got a dud ill update once i get my new one
I agree with your review, just bought the HS360S. I would however recommend the HS430 as a great beginner drone. I was wondering if you could recommend video editing software. I would like to remove the shakenes in the video I'd possible.
I have Final Cut Pro and it cost $300 plus add ons. But I use LumaFusion and it cost $30 once and is amazing, Its all I use, it remove shakiness very easy.
Good work James 👍 So have you had a chance to get your hands on the new Potensic Atom with the 3 axis gimble? I think it's one of the best values on the market right now, especially if you can get one at a discounted price
Other than the camera this is as good as almost anything out ther, if your just taking pictures this is the best drone out there, video would be another story
Drone is cool but on my very first flight when I selected the home button the drone shot straight up and hit a tree limb and crashed hard to the ground. I was not able to use any controls after it lost control. So one flight, destroyed. I did ask for a replacement and hopefully this time it works correctly.
Thank you for your great instructional video. I got very excited about this model when you said that the use of a cell phone is not required. So why download the app if all the flying software is in the RC as you mentioned? Instead of using a cell phone can I use a FPV monitor like the SoloGood monitor/receiver from Amazon priced at $61.99? It even has a DVR built-in and receives video data from the drone at the 5.8GHz frequency. I have been researching drones for about 2 months now. I want to buy a model which does not require downloading an app and using a very disturbing cell phone. I saw you download the app to your cell phone. So again, if I don't have to use the cell phone then why download the app on it? I am still a bit confused as a newbie to all of this. Is this model the one I should buy? FYI: I saved your video to my DRONE folder. Thank you so much again! Joe AZbear 3-5-24
You have to use the app to watch the FPV feed from the camera, but you can have a lot of fun and still take photos and video without it. Also, the app will have the map feature if you need it. Until you comfortable flying it, i wouldnt worry about the app
will it let you set way points? I am shopping to buy one very soon. I have an older HS100 which is a large unit. I've never used it. I want one for hunting and scouting game.
The Spark is a much better drone, problem is they are about 5 years old minimum and the batteries could fail if they work at all. I have 4 Sparks and love them, still the most agile drone DJI has ever made (other than FPV) but know the batteries only last about 5-7 minutes (12 when new) vs 20+ minutes for the HS360, but check out the New HS900 with a 3 axis gimbal!
Holy Stone HS175D drone 'vs' Holy Stone HS360S drone . Almost the same price point but the HS360s comes with one battery that's a bummer. I think I need to return my HS175D for the HS360S ... plan on using it in Mountain terrain.
HS360s Batteries are expensive . if I Buy two Hs360s batteries Your only $10 away from buying a Brand new Hs360s that comes with one battery........ hmmmmmmm do I buy two HS360s or one HS360s and two batteries? hmmmmmmmm should I have one extra battery and some parts along with back up drone or should I have one drone and two back up batteries lmao . you can't just have one battery......
Not gonna lie i was used to cheap drones then i got this amd accidentally hit return home button and freaked out when it took off thinking i lost it. Moral is read the manual 😂
