SFSGSW is so underrated. That album really showed the punk DNA of thrash, and by extendition, Megadeth. Keep is up Ali you're a fuckin killer sitting next to StateofMercury, Bryce Barilla, Warhedd, and the other greats of the "What If Tone Movement"
and to add to this, Jeff Young is an underrated guitarist, let alone an underrated Megadeth guitarist. He didn't get the opportunity to work on a 2nd album, but I know he would've killed it. It's a shame to be stuck between Chris Poland and Marty Friedman.
Very cool version of the clean solo. The rest of the song sounds like it's coming to kick your ass, the SFSGSW guitar tone is so aggressive it makes you feel like you should watch your back lol. Great work as usual.
Holy Wars song was actually based on what happened during the So Far So Good So What tour. Having the song on that album actually makes sense when we think of it.
i know you will like the casey mcmackin demo of holy wars, its a very early demo of it with just chuck behler on drums and no jeff young no marty friedman. its very sfsgsw like
As usual great work, I think those solos were an inspiration of the RIP Poland Demos but I am not sure. No matter the tone or the tuning, Holy Wars will always sound great. I really wonder what went through Mustaine’s mind when he was making RIP.
4:36 correct me if I'm wrong, but did you throw in sections of Rust in Peace, Tornado of Souls and Set The World Afire during this portion???? if so, that's fucking awesome-
