@@thandekandlovu436 Those passports can be cancelled and those Home office's abroad informed, so they cancel their visas based on intel. . You cannot just go overseas with a passport whether SA or another country, you need proper visas to get in..

@@InJouHande Ya. In Europe, surnames usually came from jobs, place names, or the name of an ancestor. The name Van Wyk means from the Wyk which is a place in the Netherlands. Smith means a person who forges iron. Johnson means son of John.

South Africa as a region throughout history had always been very different to the rest of Africa. Our country is made of many races and creeds of which the first were the South African Khoisan and San peoples, thereafter the Bantu people migrating in the North came into the lands. It was not a peaceful transition, however common understanding and amiability was the winner at the end of the day. The same can be said for the colonists who came in the land as well as the salves they brought from Asia with them. These groups then developed the country to what it is today with hard work, blood and sweat and made the country work. Overtime South Africa was created with a unique identity that all these races and creeds identified with. This was prior to the Mandela era. I feel that foreign illegal immigrants should stay in there own country's and fix there own country's like we are doing with ours. If they are coming in legally and willing to assimilate into our country and identify as South African then they are more than welcome.

Yes……… BUT giving digital companies the private information of every citizen in the country is a dangerous situation. Which is how things for other government offices currently occur. There needs to be a government run computer system with their own IT specialists/centre. That way every department uses programs that they have built to their own specifications. Imagine an outside company having access to every cent that runs a country. If access is only internal, eyes on can be better and parallel documents setting off alarms. Another Department ? Yes, to ultimately save the country billions in the long run. How many IT SPECIALISTS have graduated and are jobless at this moment in time? Job creation being the catch words of every party right now.

Based on Ministers strategy, once they start Digitalising We can then expect more IT jobs to come up in Home Affairs. And Investigators as well will follow to investigations based on IT Specialist work. I like it...Those are the benefits of appointing non traditional leaders with lack of knowledge on subject matter. Sadly this is exactly why we all need visit visas to access the biggest economies in the world 😢 our government isn’t trusted. Visas and their costs are, IMO, one of the biggest hindrances to young, working South African professionals in business. We’re locked out of the world’s system and need specialised, expensive access to advanced economies who’s business professionals benefit from visa free access to other advanced economies and are welcomed to our country, visa free. Visit visas cost South African businesses, and individuals, valuable time and directly hinder our professionals ability to effectively integrate with the world economy. We need easier mobility and freer access to the biggest economies to effectively collaborate and bring business back home ❤😢 we can only do that by addressing these issues, digitising our systems and proving that our institutions and home affairs dept are trustworthy and corruption free. Baffling that in 2024 our home affairs department is not yet fully digitised. Begs the question, what did the previous ministers prioritise and why hasn’t digital transformation taken place earlier (what are the challenges?).
