Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) talks to himself in the mirror as he washes up and gets ready for his first day alone.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Home Alone is the highly successful and beloved family comedy about a young boy named Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) who is accidentally left behind when his family takes off for a vacation in France over the holiday season. Once he realizes they've left him "home alone," he learns to fend for himself and, eventually has to protect his house against two bumbling burglars (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) who are planning to rob every house in Kevin's suburban Chicago neighborhood. Though the film's slapstick ending may be somewhat violent, Culkin's charming presence helped the film become one of the most successful ever at the time of its release.

The scream wasn't improvised, it was the fact that he kept his hands on his cheeks while screaming. When your cheeks are burning, the natural response would be to move your hands right away. But when Culkin keep his hands on his cheeks, everybody found it hilarious. They did film scenes in which he moves his hands, but ultimately realized his improvised move was the best comedically.

I was born 6 months after this film and in my day there were game consoles and computers like Sega Mega Drive, Gameboys, Nintendo SNES and 64 and in those days there was no smartphones, no Facebook or other social media and I remember when we had VCRs but now things have changed. Youngsters even young as 13 are using smartphones and many use them to communicate with friends and family.

@@catguy4996 Actually it’s typical sibling rivalry, like what I had to deal with. I mean, I’m a younger brother of one older brother in my family, and when it comes to being teased by an older sibling and the younger one actually getting in trouble for not so much finishing any arguing or physical so-called “fun” playful fights, but trying to get revenge for whatever reason, that’s what usually happened to me and my grandparents, the ones I lived with, not my regular parents. But I had to deal with that kind of rough childhood myself, finding life at the time to be a bit unfair like Kevin probably does this movie. 😂😂😂

Yeah, I agree. The ending was great when he ran to his mother's arms. You could tell Kevin loved his family, even that prick Buzz. Personally, I don't blame Kevin for being pissed at them after what he and only he had to face as punishment.

Kevin: I took a shower washing every body part with actual soap; including all my major crevices, including in between my toes and in my belly button, which I never did before but sort of enjoyed. I washed my hair with adult formula shampoo and used cream rinse for that just-washed shine. I can't seem to find my toothbrush, so I'll pick one up when I go out today. Other than that, I'm in good shape. AAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂
