This was the very first episode of Home and Away that I watched in 1993. I was 8 years old. I’ve never ever missed an episode ever since 1993. Bobby was an absolute legend in the early days of the show. From a teenage tearaway to a nice person.
I miss this era of Home and Away, I used to watch ir every day when it was on at 10 past 5 after CITV, I'd watch that and then turn over to BBC 1 after for Neighbours, good times.
I met him about 6 months ago (Greg) and said "Do you mind if I ask you if you were in Home and Away?", he was SUCH a nice guy about it and said "Yep haven't been asked that for about 5 years" and he autographed my Mad magazine, we chatted for awhile about the cast members he said Nicole Dickson was one of the LOVELIEST women he has ever acted with and they were all great. Was a terrific fella and has NOT aged a day, just short hair now lol.
The themed was composed and created for Bobby as it was named Bobbys theme but it’s been used numerous times over the years for sad scenes and exits. I believe the last time it was used was Sally’s departure in 2008
@@kathleenmaclachlan1541 He became a bit of a nasty sod when he was in his teen years but his relationship with Hayley Smith straightened him out. I don’t think he ever got counseling for Bobby’s death
Bobby was a rebel but she was a really good person inside I will miss her character very very much and I can’t help but have feelings for Donald Fisher he’s lost two children and I can’t hate him as much as I want to in series one
Well for the last couple of months I have been watching this on dailymotion. I am up to episode 72 (long way to go) and love the series. While Don is at that point still a prig at Bobbie, I am glad that he and she grew to love each other.
Goodbye Bobby we'll miss you such a lovely woman such a shame they killed her off I remember this episode like it was just yesterday and not 30 years ago I was 10 years old at the time I'm 40 now
Poor Sam, then 3 years later he'd lose Michael I always remembered even at a younger age why Frank never returned for Bobby's funeral, unless it was explained
I don't think it was explained onscreen but 1.5 years previously he returned and he made no secret that he was trying to steal Bobby away from Greg.Which was pretty bad behaviour. So maybe out of respect for Greg and Sam he stayed away.
Just seen the full episode of the accident on the My5 app. After years of trying to find the full episode. Mad that it ended with footage of the life jackets floating in the water. Do you know what episode number the accident and the next episode is/was? I know you can’t upload full eps because of copyright. Shame. I started watching home and away in 1994 and this was 1993. I wish I’d watched it in 1993, but I was only 7 or 8 haha. WHY did she go back out on the boat and WHY weren’t they wearing life jackets??
I miss bobby she was one off the best chareters she was sweet honest fisty bitchey and loveable never should have left she was every one friend a trouble maker and lost in the atart but tined around
This was easily the saddest & most shocking deaths(I Think) ever to happen in H&A,I mean I know Tom's death in '90 was huge but after 6 years Bobby(Nicolle) had created a real legacy, from rebellious teen to clever adult. If you'd seen the early years in particular you would have seen the reason why so many loved Bobby. In saying that,I think the fact that Bobby died after 6 years makes the charachter even more memeroble, than is she had lived on.Oh & I had nightmares after this.(I was only 9!)
Question if she's dead in the hospital how come the breathing monitor was still running. And then towards the end the nurse turned it off with no heartbeat.
@@rebeccan4763 braindead means hou are dead there is no coming back from brain death. Maybe there was stil oxygen going into her body if she was a organ donor the organs stil need oxygen to be used they would be useless otherwise
@aussiesoapfan Having seen her entire stint on the Early Years I've come to appreciate Vanessa's Pippa in many ways (more than I did before). But one thing she couldn't do like Debra Lawrence is crying scenes.
it was devastating but not sure which 1 was Meg's or Bobby think Bobby could have matured at looking after Sam but Meg's death because she was too young
