i agree! as i became busier at work, i would reply messages during my commute and i realized that i started feeling emotionally drained even before i go into office. eventually i learnt to block off that "me" time during commute to do what i enjoy, play some games, listen to some music, or simply people watch :x
Love Pat's energy!! Also I actually really like the plant haha 😆I think it's fascinating how a simple item like a plant can add a really homely and comforting vibe to the place!
Felt the same about losing some "'me time'' when i stopped taking public transport. In the morning, I would take a longer commute via direct bus, instead of having to swap trains, just so I can have that block of uninterrupted time. I usually do this so that I can plan my day, get updated on work and be already well informed once i step into the office.
Would love a more in depth review of the smart home gym system! Have been trying to find online reviews since I watched your video before taking the plunge, but sadly, none exists
One way to get rid of smelly towels is due to bacteria growing in it, you can wet it, then put it into microwave and heat it up for 2 minutes, you can do it pretty much for everything and that get rid of the smells 100%!
Hey john and pat, suggestion from another bto video i watched, you can repurpose a moisture sensor and just stick it on the outside of your balcony! use that to automate your blinds, no need to rely on weather report 😂
When do you think is a good time to redesign ones home? After 5 years? After 8 years? Or you do it in small portions? Or the entire house? Which appliances you will keep and discard?
Hello! Woosa is one of our best decisions! We don’t need a bolster anymore since the bed can be propped up. The pendant light is from Sol Luminaire. No regrets too. Not as difficult to clean as we thought. - Pat
I have the google home hub as well, the home controls work quite well for me especially when I use to turn down for the day, its next to my bed and I can use to turn off lights and appliances, and your lights are grouped quite well into rooms what😅 if you want to control the individual light in that room you can click the top right of that room’s box that has an > arrow and it will give you individual control of the lights in that “room” however is not as intuitive as a smart wall pad (not sure if the controls next to your hallway toilet are “smart wall scene switches” which can be programmed to have one touch “scenes” like “goodnight” this turn off that turn on kinda stuff which is more intuitive than individual control so maybe looking back can add more touch pads in high traffic areas instead?😅 but scenes can be setup with google assistant which is another way to go. But I notice better detection on the google speakers compared to the hub, the hub isn’t as accurate in detecting the command as the speakers imo. Im not sure about ziptrack blinds but in Ryan’s old house tour he mentioned that he had a somfy rain sensor mounted on the outside of the ziptrack which closes the blinds when it rains might be a better solution than relying on online weather forecast for the ziptrack, however, not sure if you’re model is the same/compatible…If you really want to get into smart home, there are a few great channels I’d recommend, “Smart Home Solver” “Paul Hibbert (Hibbert Home Tech)”
hi john and pat! love your content :-) just wondering if you guys can share more on your BTO application as co-applicants or as 1 applicant & 1 occupier? especially since yall stay in a condo now, did yall have any additional considerations at first?
Hello. We were co-applicants. Cos back when we applied, we were still young working adults. Didn’t think too much into this. If you can afford to do the applicant and occupier route, I think it will be advisable. So next time can use another name to invest into private while retaining your HDB. But seek professional advice luh. They will work out the numbers for you. - Pat
My condo has one machine. The rest is threadmils and dumbbells. After summoning all my willpower to go downstairs, when it’s taken, I instant give up. It’s privilege la for me to be able to pay to remove my own obstacles to get fit.
Suggestion: beep out the "hey google" command... pretty sure u activated quite a few google home.. mine included.. luckily my close-all command is not "shut down the house"...
u guys can try big monstera, they're much easier to take care of. i had the same plant and it died on me a few times too. the plant is too huge for me to carry from my car to my house so i gave up !!
@@JOHNPATCROSS How to set it to 160kg? 😅 I saw on the site max is 45kg each side, I assume is 90kg, maybe plus bar 10kg is 100kg? I intend to buy, currently saving up for it, if got promo pls let me know too
Yeah. It’s like 99% opaque. So people can’t see unless you naked and lean on it maybe can see your silhouette. 😂 The downside is that you block out natural light. Hence this model with build in light I think is the best trade off.
Honest ah. I think it’s very very good. Their servicing package is affordable. Outside contractors can service also. It’s really very cold. You can also see the temperature and mode right on the aircon also. Their smart app I expected it to be buggy cos it’s so new, but it’s not. We rejected a bunch of sponsors for our house. Some when we realise not good, we paid them instead of featuring them. So I hope you don’t think we anyhow promote. Hahahaha
