i think homepod just became more useful than ever especially while pairing it with home assistant with the matter support added youtube integration and unlocked temp and hum sensors

Exactly my thoughts. And since HomePods mini's at least, are always on sale, they are a perfect fit.

Does the apple homepod mini also allow you to voice-trigger HomeAssistant actions that are not related to Apple? for instance "Siri, close the blinds" or "Siri, activate scene Romantic"

The HomePod mini will see anything that you push from HomeKit in HA. Close the blinds will surely work but I did not test any scenes. If you attach a virtual button to trigger them they will definitely work

Hi, on the RU-vid Music app, Tap Settings > Connected apps > Connect with HomePod. On the next screen, tap Use in Home. Tap Done set RU-vid music as default (optional): Go to the Home app (on your iOS device) > Settings > Tap your username> Tap Default Service and select RU-vidMusic Hope it helps :)
