As we settle into life as a family of four, we reflect on the profound impact of our journey and the overwhelming gratitude for a positive and successful vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) experience.
In preparation for the VBAC, we conducted extensive research and created a birth plan to communicate our wishes to our healthcare team during her labour and the birth of our son, Kanaan.

Creating a birth plan gave us confidence and empowered us to go through the process of understanding our options during labour and to communicate our preferences to those caring for Anna clearly.

Thank you for sharing such a personal experience with us. It was beautiful to see and has been a learning experience. Congratulations on your baby boy! My questions for the Q&A: 1. How much did the home birth cost in total? 2. Who did the follow up care and ultrasound while baby was still in utero ? 3. How has your postpartum recovery been both in general and when compared to the c-sec? Thank you and keep up the great work with your channel!

Maybe the screaming was your way to manage through the pain, but you kept going. I love how your husband said screaming doesn't mean you're not in control of whats going on. It was just your way to express the pain. Either way you did AMAZING!

I think Gabes underestimates the pain of childbirth. When you’re in that much pain it is hard to follow instructions or concentrate on anything else but the pain, it is extremely overwhelmingly. Of course until you’re in that position you wouldn’t understand that simple things like change position become a lot harder.

First of all, congratulations on the birth of your beautiful, healthy baby boy. Kaanan or Canaan? I'm so happy and relieved that everything went well. You had the birth the way you wanted it: vaginal and in the comfort of your own home. My entire household have been praying for you throughout this pregnancy even though a certain man is squeamish!. We celebrate with you. The midwives sound very professional. They encouraged, they guided, they praised, they weighed and they stayed! Then they cleaned up too? Sounds fantastic. Any details about that home birthing package? Please and thanks. The best part is when you said you got into bed as a family of four afterwards. So precious. Again, hearty congratulations. God Bless you all, Jere will be a great big brother. He's already a great big brother! Anna, you're a trooper and you look absolutely radiant and flawless post birth. Gabes, take your crown for being a loving, involved and supportive husband throughout this pregnancy. You're setting a great example for other expectant fathers/husbands to follow. (I didn't say baby fathers!) God bless the Deku family of 4.

Congratulations! So encouraging!! Going for a VBAC as well. Baby due early July! Will try laboring on the toilet- I heard 1 contraction on the lou is equal to 2 or 3 elsewhere because of the natural relaxing and body position 😊 My munchkins (son and twin girls) are 2 years apart as well and are the best of friends! I hope your boys will be the same way! Praising the Lord with you all!

Congratulations to you all! A massive well done, Anna. Real MVP🎉 Watching the last few videos has brought a calmness to my thoughts/fear of going through labour. So thank you! I tap into smooth labour blessings. Questions 1) Would you recommend a home birth for first time mum? 2) You mentioned spending time and money on preparing and ensuring you have the highest chance for home birth. Do you mind expanding on the steps you took? & was it NHS or private? 3) Do the midwives bring all the kit you need including the pool, machinery etc? 4) What hairstyles do you recommend for prepping for labour and weeks after? 5) Did you squat a lot in preparation for labour? Thank you both for taking us through your journey and keeping it real always🎉💕

I had my daughter at home. It's best to let the mom do what feels best to her. The moves you learn before the labor are tools. Your body will tell you what to do in the moment, so Anna shouldn't have to take yall instructions. Actually yall are her support. Lol. I know that sounds funny but God put it in us to do it and the way get through it may look different for every woman. Sounds like yall had a beautiful experience.

Been tracking my pregnancy with you. Gave birth on 29th May. I got a bad 3rd degree tear which makes me envy your birth and also wonder if u got any tears necessitating stitches
