I love a rear bath! The redirect of the shower water back to the tank is brilliant! I will be recommending a mini-split to one of my upcoming clients as well. Pat, you should have brought them over to the shop, I would have loved to meet them!

My absolute favorite van build so far! Seems like the older couples tend to make the best builds in my opinion! They some how fit in all the comforts of home and do amazing jobs!

As a custom home architect and a former class B owner this build gets two thumbs up. You had me as soon as I saw the mini split on the wall. The electric blinds, adjustable bed and fabulous bathroom were icing on the cake. Looking forward to seeing your next build. Well done!

Wow, this is the best van conversion that I've seen! It's well thought out & designed. You thought of everything. I'm like you, I really don't want to work or rough it when on vacation or traveling. Love that shower & the dry bath. Love the power shades & movie screen. Those beds are genius, the elbow room you added in it is great. Having the head of the bed elevate awesome.. Love that your wife can drive it too, because I would want to also. As a nurse I can say that your wife if right about being careful with your drinking water. I am impressed.

Probably the most practical and comfortable layout I've seen! Love the bathroom. And he did something I've thought of but have never seen anyone else do: remote control shades! Windows are great, but having to run around and close them all for privacy would be a pain, especially in the bigger RVs. Can't wait to see the next van!

Absolutely beautiful! What a job! Almost feels like an airstream with all the aluminum. I love the taste in the finishes. You could build me one of these any day for a premium.

Absolutely brilliant, the level of innovation is tremendous. I really can see myself duplicating his process to a large extent. I especially like the fact that he limits holes in the side and the roof. Hats off to this build. I was in the building industry for 40 years and clearly this gentleman knows what he's doing. Thanks, Patrick. Some nice touches, but goodness, didn't that mini-split hardware take up some room?! Rather one of those moveable camping stove-ovens than a mini-split plus microwave! I know it's personal choice. That shower hardware was amazing. Wow :-O

Great van build from someone in my age group. I agree that one doesn't want so many chores. I'd love to see a build where someone doesn't have to sleep over the battery bank. I don't think the paneling goes with the rest of the decor but it's not a deal breaker.

I love this build, I'm sure a lot of people do actually have guests over so fair enough build a little seating area. But building the beds upfront where that would usually be and having the bathroom in the back is stunning. I wouldn't even pretend to need a guest space lmao

Excellent & informative Owner presentation and interviewer questions too. One of the BEST van conversions with 6'3" interior height, FULL shower bath, electric remote blackout window shades, huge tv projection screen, & sleek storage drawers. LOVE the split HVAC system and ample solar panels. The exterior hidden access ports are clever too. Will you sell it when your 2021 arrives?

I love that you put a mini split in your very smart build. I live in a 27' toy hauler and would like to replace the extremely loud overhead AC with a mini split.

Great idea for the next van build, but what will be eliminated if it's 30"shorter? There is no wasted space in the van? The length of the bed will be still be needed. I can't see a smaller bathroom. The kitchen area is small enough. Can't wait to see it.

Nice build and a very interesting perspective from a home builder. I like the Transit much better than the other brands. I’d be interested to see his next creation when it’s done. Seems like there’s a huge opportunity for someone to make a rooftop mini split. They’re so much more efficient, but the packaging isn’t right for vans and motorhomes. Another great video, Patrick!

Wow! This is by far one of the best van builds that I've ever seen & I'm extremely impressed. Paul is brilliant.

I am consistently impressed with folks who just do this when it's not their normal job and don't do this for a living. The skillset, know-how and ability to do it feels so out of my range. Love this build. I also like how he was nice to the "strange dog", haha.

Appreciate this fella's fresh ideas like the showering system, mini split, ikea finds and no solar panels and still having power. Wish there was another way to mount the outdoor part of the mini split!I wonder if more vents in the back door and at the side of the van so the unit gets air... Any way just love the idea of mini split in the van. Thanks for the tour!

Paul, this is a fantastic build, you like love a toilet & shower, but the electric drapes blew me away , so naturally you did spray foam + as your insulation I suspect the beds are ‘memory foam’ for REAL COMFORT, BTW the AWD does not raise the floor level, but you are going to raise the suspension, great , but I had NOT realised the vehicle was shorter , happy trails cheers 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I love the bathroom! I would want this bathroom in mine. He did such a great build out of this Van. I would like a shorter Van for myself, so the fact that he is working on a shorter Van is great! I really want to see his next one. The whole time I was watching this video, I kept thinking he should have the beds flip up or move up towards the ceiling. I can't wait to see what he does for the beds in the new one. I love the mini split a/c - heater. I had never heard of one of those in a Van. Thank you for making this video, and thank you to him for explaining his Van so well. I'm so excited to see his next Van.

Beautiful job on the van I’m just curious if you ever have taken a gauss meter reading over those batteries where somebody sleeps. I believe Tesla in more economy model cars, had to alter the position of whatever kind of batteries they had under the driver seat as they found the meter readings were off the charts for someone sitting right above the batteries

I realize hundreds have said it before but I'll say it again...this is one of the best van build's I've ever seen. LOVE that the two bed are permanent and not some dinky 'dinette' no one can realistically fit into and can't move around in. Also, this build is perfect for those solo travelers who don't need both beds and have big dogs or multiple dogs...the dogs can hang out on the other bed. The bathroom? FABULOUS. This designer designed for the driver. Bravo! And I realize he's said in a few comments he doesn't want to start building for others...but maybe you can get him to reconsider......the van world needs him! Thanks for sharing. Wish you all a wonderful summer of travel, relaxation and new adventures.

Cool van, I am in the middle of building out a new Ford Transit van and also using an Isotemp slim square HW heater almost in the same location so it was great actually seeing the engine hookups as there is very little info available on connecting them up in Transits online. He let it slip the Ikea returns great deals that can be had. I have found more than a few items at Ikea (returns) for use in my van. I got a queen bed spring slat system for way less than I would be able to purchase just the materials alone for - plus it raises and lowers (manually) so you can sit up in bed. I am also a big fan of George @Humbleroad for his many great ideas and pointers he gives. He has saved me from more than a couple of big mistakes through his advice and recommendations.

PATRICK, as thr FORDS go this is the ONLYONE I had ever seen with a bathroom , without a doubt this is the greatest build I’ve seen, , PAUL is a good builder, as custom homes were his line , just wonderful , thanks for showing this build , cheers 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I'm totally down with the accessibility of all of the utilities for service and repair. I've seen so many builds where I think, that's gonna be a pita to get to if you have to work on it and you will have to work on it. Some great ingenuity in this build.

Could the outdoor portion of the mini-split be installed underneath the van so no need to open the door while it's running? Or cut in a vent on the door?

My respect to you, Sir. An awesome build. Not many conversions I've seen have the type of rear bath you had. I am impressed with your rear bath/toilet... That's my priority, too. Spacious and very functional. As for the mini split air cond, do you have to open a half of the rear door when it's in use?

We just bought an expensive Airstream Interstate and I like this guy’s van better. I hate our wet bath.

Dude this bathroom is bigger than the one I have at home and definitely has more storage.

Nice to see another van build that puts the bathroom in the back. I think that's a better location that putting it in the front or the middle since it doesn't close off or jut into the living space. It just makes the space you spend most of your time in feel much more open IMO.

You do such great videos and editing Patrick, well done buddy. This is a great build. I really love the idea of the Velcro panels to do maintenance if things go wrong. I shall use this for my build. I seriously believe this couple will be better suited towing a trailer he can build to suit. I can’t see how he’s going to be climbing into basically sleeping quarters on the back of a pickup. They won’t have the amenities of the van and again the work to put it on and off the pick up each time they go away will remove the excitement of a turn key and go feeling. Mind you this is nothing more then my opinion. Kind regards, Mario.
