Home cured, Applewood smoked smoked bacon! This bacon is by far the best bacon we have ever had. You can use the thick cut bacon in our homemade baked beans video we recently released.
Slow smoked over 7 hours
Ingredients needed:
Pork Belly (recipe is based on a 5 Lbs. pork belly)
Maple syrup - 1/2 cup
Kosher salt - 1/4 cup
Brown Sugar - 1/4 cup
Curing Salt (Prague powder #1, pink curing salt) 1 tsp
Equipment needed:
vacuum sealer - or 2 gallon Ziploc
Smoker - We use a big Bradley smoker but you can use a stove top smoker
Food slicer or a sharp knife
