Fun to see other childcare homes! I recently started my home daycare and I purchase a lot of the poster boards from the dollar tree and put smaller letters and number posters inside them. I purchased from Amazon it leaves a really clean and fun look! 😌✨

I use my first floor 4 rooms for my home daycare. My husband and I moved to our second floor to live. That way when the last child leaves and I’m done with clean up and setting the room up for the next day I can leave the area until my next work day. Nice to have the separation. Your daycare looks very nice.

Awe thank you! It’s better to have separate space for sure. My original goal is to move out and have this trailer be just daycare. Hopefully one day! Thank you for watching!!

This looks great! My mother recently brought up I should consider running a home daycare out of a trailer home until I could get a nice house built or afford something nicer, and I was thinking about it, but now it seems like it may be a great idea! I love the setup btw, I work at a CDC on a military base, and it's a good program, but I know that I will ultimately want my own one day. Don't know when it will be, but I'm pretty sure of it now. The rest of this is a short novella by me lol, but it's just addressing the learning environment comments you made throughout the video. What I'm sharing is just from work experience and not everything is a recommendation so much as just ideas ^_^ I am in no way qualified to be giving official advice on learning environments, but I can recommend some books which I will list at the end. As far as the walls are concerned, from what I have learned through work training and am learning through academic training, walls are kept painted a neutral color. It keeps the homey environment and won't overstimulate the children. At work what's on our walls has to be educational posters (color, shape, texture, farm animal boards, for P-K they do famous artist boards, Oklahoma community, military community, etc) or child-led art. We have to replace most our art monthly, which I don't completely like because sometimes the kids make something really cute or nice and I struggle to take it down (frankly I usually don't date those things and don't say anything, and hope the trainer doesn't either haha). We also have family boards, they vary but I personally like to use scrapbook paper and about 4-6 photos of the child and their family depending on the size of the photos. I try to customize each one to the child. I recently learned about Reggio Emilia schools and I am fascinated by their philosophy, most of all I ADORE the way they have their environments. I read a page by Tess Bennett called "Reactions to Visiting the Infant-Toddler and Preschool Centers in Reggio Emilia, Italy" and thought it was very interesting. They incorporate a lot of plants and nature into their curriculum. I personally DO NOT have a green thumb, so if I can't keep things alive I will switch to fake plants lol. I completely understand the outdoor environment struggle, though personally, I would prefer your playground to the one we have at work for our age group! I work with pre-toddlers (one-year olds) and we don't have an actual playground. Cue rant: The geniuses who designed the pre-tot playground that has been under construction for at least two years now (and hasn't changed at all outside of the concrete pad that we get access to) made a huge portion of it concrete. Yes, concrete, for one-year-old children. We have no structures, the shade we have is from the building and a tree (shade is substantial enough honestly, it's a big building) and we have balls, riding toys, push toys and pull toys. There is a small bit of grass but it's overall really not suited for our age group. It won't be so bad once they actually finish the area, but until then that's what we're stuck with. I think the preschool playground has been "under construction" for nearly four years now. You're doing great, keep it up! Books: Developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood programs by NAEYC, edited by Copple and Bredekamp, 3rd edition (4 is coming soon) Developmentally appropriate practices- curriculum and development in early education, by Gestwicki, 4th edition. Approaches to Early Childhood Education by Roopnarine and Johnson, 6th edition Hope some of this was useful to you!

@@childcareprovideroklahoma so I love how like the living room is kind of like the main space and I like how you have the two back rooms one is more like blocks and building and the other one is more like pretend play I really feel like you should keep it like that but really go with the theme like really kind of make that like the building / construction room and put all like the blocks and the Legos and maybe even that could be the art room too since it's all about constructing something of the imagination and then I'd say like the main kind of living room area be the you know the circle time room and the maybe even the quiet room to have like some books and a place to sit in one corner of the room as well as toys for the smaller babies in another corner and maybe for the school age kids you know you still go ahead and leave that computer in the corner as well as the desk and things so that the "main space" is a quieter space if certain children want to have a quieter area and then the back to rooms are more the "playrooms" I think I left out the imaginary play room I honestly think that room is perfect the only thing that is missing is a like pretend store where the current action figures are and that window if there was like a foam covered material going across that bench and maybe like a pillow on each side to make it like a fake couch I think that would bring me entire room together with a huge sign that says like imaginary play or something signs up in the store Like I'm thinking for the store using that same bookshelf and placing the cash register on it pulling it out from the wall turning the cash register facing the wall so that the food will be kind of like in the aisle sort of speak and then when they're ready to ring the food up they can place the food on the pretend belt and I think getting the little like I can't remember if you had a shopping cart but a few little like baskets or cart to kind of go along with the theme of the grocery store as well as a few signs up to go behind the counter

I’m so happy I found this. I see you have the back yard fenced in. Are you in a mobile home community? If so, how did the convo go to get a fence? My community does not allow fences.
@childcareprovideroklahoma
@childcareprovideroklahoma 3 года назад
Thank you so much for your support!! Thank you for watching my channel! I am not in a mobile home community. My land is actually my dad’s so I didn’t have to go through any of that. I know here in Oklahoma you don’t have to have a fence if you don’t live near the road as long as you have a small home daycare. However if you have a large home daycare in Oklahoma you have to have a fenced in yard. I’m curious how other states go about that.

I like the child care video, some day when I become my parents neighbor and pay bills after I finish school when I am 25 26 or 27 years old that is probably the time I will be ready to pay bills have my first job and work at the home daycare just like you, I am 21 years old some 21 year olds are ready, but my choice is to wait years from now, I still live with my parents even when I’m 21 years old, I go to the hub Houston private school and I am in the life 101 post grad program, some people go to college sone don’t, but I don’t, even when I graduate and be a senior at the high school private school program last school year, people graduate at a different age age people start there first paying job at a different age and have choices I will start with a home daycare in the future like a video tour before marriage and kids but still having a job because so I will have bills for what ever I want, talking about the future, people move out at a different age, I am not sure if you know that or not, I love the cute home daycare your video, that makes me 💭 what I wanna do some day!
